Staff Cecil Lee Posted November 21, 2011 Staff Share Posted November 21, 2011 1. The main concern is that when entering a home, one must not see a flight of steps "flowing down" and flowing-out of the main entrance door.2. In your rough illustration, this is not the case, thus technically it is fine or ok. But again, some don't feel nice about it. Not a major issue since this place is rented. myfs_108289
Dear Master,I have rented an apartment where it has two units upper and ground. My appartment is at the upper unit. My main door is directly leading to the staircase and withtwo intermediate landings before go up to my living hall and bed rooms.Do you see any problem with this?ThanksJacky
Staff Cecil Lee Posted November 1, 2013 Staff Share Posted November 1, 2013 It is difficult to figure out the layout from your description.Under symbolism in Feng Shui; ideally, best not to see the STEPs (leading up/down) directly facing the main entrance door. Staff Cecil Lee Posted November 18, 2013 Staff Share Posted November 18, 2013 In my opinion; placing a curtain has more to do with common sense then Feng Shui. For example; sometimes a curtain may sway or move. And may be caught in one's feet etc.. and pose a safety hazard. If the curtain have beads; and if the beads break-loose; may also pose a hazard as stepping on the beads may lead to a fall. myfs_108289
Many thanks Master Cecil. There are 5 steps to landing. Does numbers of steps matters?
