In my opinion, your statement is too general.

But, the true test is to stand inside a unit main entrace door and look out for pillarsor support beams such as those for covered shelters.

Thus most likely would often affect a unit or a few units that's all. Unless the overhead bridge structure has spikely trellis etc.
