Administrators Cecil Lee 168 Posted August 21, 2018 Author Administrators Report Share Posted August 21, 2018 Nowadays, don’t seem to see letter box digital locks in many newly T.O.P. Developments. Perhaps a passing fad?
Administrators Cecil Lee 168 Posted January 6, 2019 Author Administrators Report Share Posted January 6, 2019 Spotted Yale letter box lock and some other analog ones. Location: HDB Bendemeer Light First time seeing these analog three digital codes. They can be bought cheaply on the internet. Some costing Singapore $23+ dollars only:- Strange: seems like both are digital locks. But to the left of the photo is a unbranded lock:- Below: The standard Yale digital lock without the extra digital 2nd lock:- “14-127”
Administrators Cecil Lee 168 Posted January 6, 2019 Author Administrators Report Share Posted January 6, 2019 Found one in the internet. Not expensive at all.. but does not include installation. Most likely it is like swooping the existing keyhole unit with this one..
Administrators Cecil Lee 168 Posted January 6, 2019 Author Administrators Report Share Posted January 6, 2019 Would you install one for your letter box? I can think of one good reason: A rental unit.
Administrators Cecil Lee 168 Posted March 1, 2019 Author Administrators Report Share Posted March 1, 2019 Who wants to install a digital lock for their home letter box? Huh? Not popular with my older staff? I loathe lazy people who DO NOT carry their keys! I have MARKED those who had said "YES"! No promotion for you! And YES, in a recession, you will be the first to go! Madam, where got this logic? Just because I like convenience you MARKED ME! Not fair! Sorry to disappoint you, boy! Life’s like that!
Administrators Cecil Lee 168 Posted June 15, 2019 Author Administrators Report Share Posted June 15, 2019 Today, 15 June 2019, I received a call: “You sell the digital lock?” My reply: “No. Just because I took photos of these lock and share it on my website; does not mean I sell them”. Persistent lady: “But you list your phone number!” P.S. Just because I happen to review it online as I travel widely and visited lots of places... means I sell this item? Can I also blame Google? This is because, lots of articles and resources added to this site.. even for non Feng Shui also do appear within Google's "interesting" links... Like that also can? LOL-:)
Administrators Cecil Lee 168 Posted June 21, 2019 Author Administrators Report Share Posted June 21, 2019 In 1996 Geomancy.net hosted it's first forum on a third party website. From December 1998 onwards and till today, forum resources since this date can still be viewed... Geomancy.net is world's oldest Feng Shui forum in the WWW.
Administrators Cecil Lee 168 Posted July 25, 2019 Author Administrators Report Share Posted July 25, 2019 Was at HDB Tanjong Pagar mixed development. Only 2 three digit locksets installed at this block. With only 999 tries... easier to breech. But then HDB usually installs police cameras... There are brochure bins at the bottom of each letterbox-rows
Administrators Cecil Lee 168 Posted October 24, 2019 Author Administrators Report Share Posted October 24, 2019 Nowadays the three digit analog (dial) combination locks are cheap. Price range from $5.90 to $9.90. The Touch Screen Digital Electronic Password is seems slightly cheaper now... P.S. Please note that Geomancy.net does not sell these. Part of a wider common knowledge.
Administrators Cecil Lee 168 Posted October 24, 2019 Author Administrators Report Share Posted October 24, 2019 Case Study: Who can give me a good reason to install a digital or analog number lock? Yes son! Ma ma : "Good for rental units. For security, no need to change locks. Just change the numbers will do" Son, you are really smart!

Where tenants use the digital lock. And owner can reset after the current tenants had left. Internet shows several brands... Administrators Cecil Lee 168 Posted March 28, 2020 Author Administrators Report Share Posted March 28, 2020 This advert was found on a pillar at one of the blocks in Serangoon North. The ad says: "Include installation at a net price of $60/-" In the earlier threads, selling online at around Singapore Dollars = $18.90. (Not sure if shipping is included or not). Frankly, in my opinion, removable of existing lock and installing a new one is a breeze. The only thing is to get the correct thickness of the lock or the locking piece. Generally, universal for HDBs. But for some landed properties have different specifications.
