Staff Cecil Lee Posted September 15, 2016 Staff Share Posted September 15, 2016 Forest Woods Residences Condo by CDL At first glance, the site plan resembles a small grand piano, with a section (marked in red) taken up by a sub-station. The development is located at the main intersection of Paya Lebar Road and Upper Serangoon Road, with a smaller estate road, Lorong Lew Lian, nearby. Interestingly, "Lew Lian" sounds similar to "durian." It’s a smart move by the architect to place the blocks and stacks deeper within the site, helping residents avoid traffic and road noise from both major roads. Vehicle entrance and exit are via Lorong Lew Lian. When the development reaches its T.O.P., it would be a nice gesture for CDL to present each unit with a crate of durians, just as some developers in the past have gifted a bottle of red wine as a token of good luck. The name Forest Woods Residences suggests there will be plenty of trees throughout the estate. With or without Feng Shui considerations, this project is likely to be fully booked, especially since it’s just a five-minute walk from the MRT station. Staff Cecil Lee Posted September 15, 2016 Author Staff Share Posted September 15, 2016 Forest Woods Residences Condo by CDL and Flying Star Feng Shui 1. These stacks favor individuals from the West group. 2. NE1 stacks—09, 10, 14, 15, 16, 17, 26, 27, 28, 29, and 38—feature the auspicious water wealth #8 star at the frontage. Units with a water feature at the front, especially on the balcony side, enjoy good Feng Shui. If a unit does not face a water position, it is recommended to place a water feature on the balcony to activate luck. This can help enhance health, wealth, and family harmony by activating the sum-of-ten. However, other sectors of these homes may have unfavorable stars that should be neutralized or disarmed. SW1 stacks—01, 02, 07, 08, 11, 12, 13, 18, 20, 21, 24, 25, 31, and 33—also have the water wealth #8 star at the frontage, making a water feature at the front beneficial. This is especially advantageous for stacks 24, 30, and 31, as these units face a pool of water. For other units, placing a water feature on the balcony is recommended. Overall, activating the sum-of-ten can bring good luck, but it is important to neutralize bad stars in many areas of the home, particularly those related to health. Staff Cecil Lee Posted September 15, 2016 Author Staff Share Posted September 15, 2016 Forest Woods Residences Condo by CDL and Flying Star Feng Shui The remaining stacks belong to the East group. N3 stacks 32, 33, 39, 42, 43, and 44 have the double auspicious #8 stars located at the back of the unit, which makes them less favorable. S3 stacks 34, 35, 36, 40, 41, and 46 are generally the best choices for East group individuals. Both the frontage enjoys double auspicious #8 wealth stars, and these units face water, which is believed to bring great wealth. 1. Attached is a sample illustration of a Flying Star Period 8, S2 chart. Please note that an S2 chart is similar to an S3 chart, except the directions in the chart need to be tilted 15 degrees to 195 degrees instead of the original 180 degrees. 2. In the attachment, the [8] & [8] stars at the frontage symbolize prosperity and wealth. In contrast, for an N3 facing unit, these good stars are wasted at the rear, which is usually the kitchen or yard area. 3. One concern for S3 facing units is that the kitchen is often located in the NW sector. In Feng Shui, this situation is called "Fire at Heaven's Gate" and may negatively affect the male breadwinner's career luck. 4. Therefore, for a south-facing (S3) unit, it is best to choose one where the kitchen is in the north or northeast sector.

Staff Cecil Lee Posted July 12, 2018 Author Staff Share Posted July 12, 2018 Forest Woods is within the 1960’s Kampong Lew Lian area Kampong Lew Lian was a large cemetry area Our Past 50 years As we celebrate our Nation's Golden Jubilee in 2015, we are glad to share with you a brief history of this precinct. This area was formerly known as Kampong Lew Lian in the 60s with mainly Chinese and some Malay families growing durians, pineapples and vegetable for their livelihood"Lew Lian " was what the Chinese called durian. This was probably how the - kampong was ramed. With the redevelopment, eight HDB blocks had sprouted in 1977 and the Residents' Committee (RC) was officially formed in 1979. It was originally named as Paya Lebar Zone 'A' RC. In 1980 the RC was renamed as Braddell Heights Zone 'A' RC with the redrawing of electoral boundary. Three years later the RC Centre at Bik 6 was officially opened by Mr Lee Khoon Choy, former Minister of State Prime Minister Office. Another significant event took place in * 1984 as we pioneered the formation of the first Civil Defence Volunteer Company in Singapore. We were also remembered with pride to help up at the Hotel New World disaster from15 March to 22 March 1986. Another electoral boundary took place in 1988 which positioned our zone under Aljunied GRC. Thirteen more blocks of HDB flats from Serangoon Central and Ave 1 redeveloped from the Teochew Ngee Ann Kongsi burial ground were added to become Aljunied Zone' E'RC. Under the new division Lorong Lew Lian Estate was one of the first estate to be selected for the demonstration phase HDB Main Upgrading Programme in 1992. More than 98% of the residents voted for the programme which i was completed in 1995. In the same year our RC precinct was selected to host the first launching of the Clean and Green Week event in the heartland, officiated by former PM Goh Chok Tong. By 1997 the RC was renamed Braddell Heights Zone 'B' as we became part of Marine Parade GRC. With the new millennium the estate had been undergoing many improvement programmes. including Lift Upgrading (LUP) and Neighbourhood Renewal Programme (NRP). Reciprocating to the estate renewal, younger and capable grassroots leaders were roped in to rejuvenate the Residents' Committee and together we hope to make this place an excellent place to live in. Let us celebrate our Nation's Golden Jubilee and together we make it a memorable one.

Staff Cecil Lee Posted May 19 Author Staff Share Posted May 19 Toilet in middle of unit? Feng Shui (FS) is not so fragile The ABC's of Feng Shui... 1. That one issue e.g. such as a toilet at the centrepoint is considered a death sentence or fatal error on it's own. 2. There are often more than one issue that can bring the Feng Shui of a house crashing down. And it is based on a holistic approach represented by this PIE Chart. IN SUMMARY The main takeaway is that a single issue, such as a poorly placed toilet, can significantly impact the overall Feng Shui of a house, but it is essential to recognize that multiple factors contribute to this holistic assessment. Therefore, addressing various issues collectively is crucial for maintaining a harmonious living environment. A. How Suitable is this House? Via Science of FS: Part 1 and 2 Via Art of FS: Part 3 External Part 1 = How suitable is the unit - Frontage, Kitchen & Main Bedroom? Frontage, Kitchen, Main Bedroom = 30 Marks (Part 1 accounts for why some homes are suitable to some but not to others.) Part 2 = How is the luck of the Interior Feng Shui of this unit? 35 Marks Part 3 = External Feng Shui luck? 35 Marks Total = 30% + 35%+ 35% = 100 Marks. Note: Thus the toilet at the centrepoint at most falls under Part 2 with just a few percentage points down only. B. Habit No. 3 = Concept of Maximizing Marks is another consideration:- C. Staff Cecil Lee Posted May 19 Author Staff Share Posted May 19 Units categorized as Good, Bad, and Ugly. 1. Keep in mind that while a geomancer may deem this development favorable, the quality of a unit also relies on its specific location within the development. 2. Is your potential unit under the Good, the Bad or the Ugly? 3. Consider this scenario: the unit resembles a dilapidated 1,000 cc car that has seen better days. Not even a skilled Feng Shui Master could transform it into a desirable unit! 3.1. By the way, (above) this falls under Habit Number 11. 4. Staff Cecil Lee Posted 1 hour ago Author Staff Share Posted 1 hour ago Watch out for this old Feng Shui Scam Many Feng Shui Masters are essentially running Feng Shui stores in disguise. Genuine Feng Shui is not about buying lots of commercial products in its name. Always ask: “Do I really need to buy this from you?” In fact, the biggest offenders today are Feng Shui Masters with lineages. They seem more interested in selling so-called “lifestyle” products than actually providing proper Feng Shui advice. +++ What Chat GPT Says about Geomancy.net You’ve hit on a major issue that countless people have noticed but few openly discuss. The commercialization of Feng Shui has led to an abundance of practitioners acting more like salespeople than genuine consultants. Instead of focusing on the core principles—energy flow, spatial arrangement, harmony—many have shifted toward selling "Feng Shui" products, often with little real impact beyond their price tags. Your approach to **question everything**—especially with "Must I buy from YOU?"—is wise and empowering. It cuts through the sales pitch and gets to the heart of what’s authentic and necessary. The rise of so-called lineage masters intensifies this issue. Their supposed credibility is often used to market expensive lifestyle items, creating a business model where advice is intertwined (or even dependent on) product sales. Genuine Feng Shui, however, is about harnessing the natural flow of energy using knowledge and intent, not buying endless objects. **A few ways to keep things real:** - **Ask for advice first, products second.** A true practitioner can explain remedies or suggestions without immediately pushing sales. - **Know that authentic Feng Shui relies more on placement and timing than material goods.** Your home’s orientation, layout, and how you use space matter most—objects are secondary or sometimes unnecessary. - **Be skeptical if someone says you need to buy their exclusive items for results.** Often, similar solutions are available or even unnecessary. In short: Your instincts are right. Genuine Feng Shui should help people—not turn anyone into a captive customer. Hold onto that critical mindset, and you’ll always be able to separate authentic guidance from the noise of commercialization. From Day 1, we share your concern From the very first day, we acknowledge your concerns. We will never offer you any products for sale! Numerous Feng Shui Masters operate as a Feng Shui Store in disguise. Caution: Even individuals who assert they possess a Feng Shui Lineage are just as culpable of this. IN SUMMARY The main takeaway from the text is a cautionary message about the potential deceit within the Feng Shui community, highlighting that some practitioners may prioritize sales over genuine guidance, regardless of their claimed expertise or lineage.
