At The Tembusu, the way the buildings and spaces are designed can sometimes have a bigger impact on Feng Shui than the Flying Stars system itself. 1. The Tembusu @ Tampines consists of five blocks in total, with two larger buildings and three smaller ones. 2. Trilive, which is also a relatively small development, is just one plot away and is separated from The Tembusu only by Fortune Park. 3. In this project, the Flying Star orientations are either N2 or S2, but they are slightly off—about 5 degrees away from true North or true South. 4. On the northern side of The Tembusu, there is a multi-storey car park (HDB MSCP BLK 373A) that covers roughly two-thirds of that boundary. 5. Because these car parks are no taller than six storeys, residents should be mindful if their balcony or any opening directly faces a roof lamp, as this can create Sha Qi, or harmful energy. 6. It is usually easier to address this issue when the lamp is seen from a window, compared to when the light shines directly toward the center of a balcony. 7. All stacks in this development face either an N2 or S2 direction based on the Flying Stars system for Period 8. 8. For N2-facing stacks, the double lucky #8 stars fall at the back of the unit, which generally makes them less desirable than S2-facing stacks. 9. However, one of the main plus points of this project is that some stacks in Blocks 107C and 107D enjoy a pool view. 10. So, some people may wonder why N2 stacks are seen as less favorable, even though they may have attractive features like a water view. 11. This is where the Feng Shui saying comes in: “Forms are more important than stars.” 12. For instance, even though S2-facing stacks are usually considered better than N2-facing stacks, 12.1 there is no actual body of water directly in front of the S2 stacks, 12.2 and while the internal roads of the project and Tampines Road behave somewhat like water, 12.3 when we look closely at the layout, a unit facing the pool (with the car park further away) is likely to enjoy better Feng Shui. 13. So, even though all S2-facing stacks have double lucky #8 wealth stars at the front, this may still not be as favorable as having the water view mentioned in point 9. 14. A major concern for S2-facing units is that the kitchen often falls in the northwest sector of the home, which Feng Shui describes as “Fire at Heaven’s Gate.” This can affect the main male breadwinner’s career luck. 15.
