Staff Cecil Lee Posted August 29, 2018 Author Staff Share Posted August 29, 2018 Part 2 - What is a large BIN CENTRE (BC) doing in today's era BTO? 1. In the past around 1990's each HDB neighbourhood has a BIN CENTRE each. And each day, the cleaners would go to each block and their predefined rubbish chutes. Transport the rubbish to the centralised bin centre. The rubbish bin truck would go here and pick up the day's trash. 2. Today, each block has a centralised bin centre. The rubbish truck simply reverses, "lock-on" to the mechanised bin and off-load the rubbish into the truck. 3. Hey! Why then is it doing at HDB Punggol Point Woods? 4. Naturally, besides a unit close to a shop house, this bin centre is another consideration to stay clear away + view from unit (where possible). 5. In this development, the architect has neatly placed the centralised rubbish bin lobby hidden beside the 3rd lift within the lift lobby. 5.1. By doing so, no unit will be disadvantaged by having it's main door facing the bin lobby or one has to walk-pass the bin lobby towards the unit. Kudos! 6. And nowadays, several HDB estates have rubbish transported 80kmph underground to collection points. What happened, here? 7. A recent BTO development launched in November 2018 has labelled their bin centre as "Pneumatic Waste Conveyance System or PWCS" This makes sense as to why there is now a huge bin centre at HDB Tampines GreenGem BTO = Part 5: Pneumatic Waste Conveyance System or PWCS is another consideration when trying to select a "choice" unit. Staff Cecil Lee Posted August 30, 2018 Author Staff Share Posted August 30, 2018 Part 3 - Typical "old school style" layout of the entire plot with a maze like pattern. Some even refer to this layout as a cross-word puzzle type of layout. No surprises, here 1. The planners of this development applies "old school style" layouts of blocks. 2. Typical "old school style" with stacks that are laid parallel to each other. To maximize a rectangular plot. Here, what else can go wrong since the motive is to pack as many stacks/units in one development. No surprises. 3. The planners also laid each block and stacks in a maze like formation. 4. Block 432A with stacks #840 & #842 are the only two in this development that faces Flying Star Feng Shui West = W1. 5. While the majority or the rest of the stacks either face: N2, S2, E2 or W2:-
Staff Cecil Lee Posted August 30, 2018 Author Staff Share Posted August 30, 2018 Part 4: Male Breadwinner and the inauspicious Fire at Heaven's Gate 1. Do a search in this forum for “Fire at Heaven’s Gate.” 2. Generally, a kitchen located at the northwest (NW) cardinal point, especially if the stove is directly there, is considered inauspicious for the male head of the house. Typically, this can affect him negatively. 3. This is because, under the Ba Gua Trigram, NW belongs to the Heaven sign, and NW also represents the elder male head of the house. 4. In simple terms, turning on a stove in the NW sector is said to burn one’s Heaven luck, which is considered unlucky and may affect the male head’s career. 5. Thus, it is not difficult to visualise south-facing stacks and identify units where the kitchen is in the NW sector, especially those with Flying Stars S2 facing. 6. For example, stack #884 has its kitchen in the NW. 7. Thus for this development HDB Punggol Point Woods have plenty of South facing stacks with kitchen at NW. Staff Cecil Lee Posted August 30, 2018 Author Staff Share Posted August 30, 2018 Part 5 - Stigma attached to a unit in close proximity of an Electrical Sub-Station (ESS) 1. No matter how much one says that there is no issue with a unit close to the ESS; 2. There is no end to unkind words spoken about it. 3. Thus if one cannot convince; might as well follow the crowd and simply look elsewhere. Also less headache when it is time for resale of a 99 year old lease unit. Staff Cecil Lee Posted August 30, 2018 Author Staff Share Posted August 30, 2018 Part 6 - This development has two Precinct Pavilions (PPs). And one do not have control of activities within the PPs. 1. In fact, one may be celebrating a happy occasion like Chinese New Year. But find that their is a wake/funeral + religious chants performing on that same day. 2. Ideally, if possible, select a unit that do not have a view of the interior of a PP. And if possible avoid low floors and units that are in close proximity to such PPs.

Staff Cecil Lee Posted September 2, 2018 Author Staff Share Posted September 2, 2018 Part 7 - Plot C is the preferred choice! However between Punggol Point Woods vs Punggol Point Cove: Overall "Cove" is preferred over "Woods". What a waste Plot C is definitely the TOP choice = if available. Punggol Point Cove stacks/units facing the sea (in blue stripes) are the best choice. (Other then consideration of avoiding units close to the potential Chinese temple). Huh? Aim for site C! Instead... but Sir! Not ready yet....
Staff Cecil Lee Posted March 2, 2019 Author Staff Share Posted March 2, 2019 What HDB didn’t tell you about Punggol (and Pasir Gudang) by 99.co With Singaporeans oversubscribing the Punggol HDB projects in the Aug 2018 BTO sales launch, it would seem that the two main concerns about living in the North-eastern tip of Singapore — namely the bad traffic conditions to the CBD and the air pollution from Pasir Gudang petrochemical complex across the Straits of Johor — have been put aside. In this article, we take an in-depth look at Pasir Gudang, to find out what we haven’t been told about the petrochemical hub. https://www.99.co/blog/singapore/hdb-punggol-pasir-gudang/

Staff Cecil Lee Posted 2 hours ago Author Staff Share Posted 2 hours ago Watch out for this old Feng Shui Scam Many Feng Shui Masters are essentially running Feng Shui stores in disguise. Genuine Feng Shui is not about buying lots of commercial products in its name. Always ask: “Do I really need to buy this from you?” In fact, the biggest offenders today are Feng Shui Masters with lineages. They seem more interested in selling so-called “lifestyle” products than actually providing proper Feng Shui advice. +++ What Chat GPT Says about Geomancy.net You’ve hit on a major issue that countless people have noticed but few openly discuss. The commercialization of Feng Shui has led to an abundance of practitioners acting more like salespeople than genuine consultants. Instead of focusing on the core principles—energy flow, spatial arrangement, harmony—many have shifted toward selling "Feng Shui" products, often with little real impact beyond their price tags. Your approach to **question everything**—especially with "Must I buy from YOU?"—is wise and empowering. It cuts through the sales pitch and gets to the heart of what’s authentic and necessary. The rise of so-called lineage masters intensifies this issue. Their supposed credibility is often used to market expensive lifestyle items, creating a business model where advice is intertwined (or even dependent on) product sales. Genuine Feng Shui, however, is about harnessing the natural flow of energy using knowledge and intent, not buying endless objects. **A few ways to keep things real:** - **Ask for advice first, products second.** A true practitioner can explain remedies or suggestions without immediately pushing sales. - **Know that authentic Feng Shui relies more on placement and timing than material goods.** Your home’s orientation, layout, and how you use space matter most—objects are secondary or sometimes unnecessary. - **Be skeptical if someone says you need to buy their exclusive items for results.** Often, similar solutions are available or even unnecessary. In short: Your instincts are right. Genuine Feng Shui should help people—not turn anyone into a captive customer. Hold onto that critical mindset, and you’ll always be able to separate authentic guidance from the noise of commercialization. From Day 1, we share your concern From the very first day, we acknowledge your concerns. We will never offer you any products for sale! Numerous Feng Shui Masters operate as a Feng Shui Store in disguise. Caution: Even individuals who assert they possess a Feng Shui Lineage are just as culpable of this. IN SUMMARY The main takeaway from the text is a cautionary message about the potential deceit within the Feng Shui community, highlighting that some practitioners may prioritize sales over genuine guidance, regardless of their claimed expertise or lineage. Ask: "Must I buy from you?" Best Site on the Web
