Indeed, at the time of The Nautical's launch, its temporary showrooms were situated within the HDB Sun Sails site. At that time, this plot was unoccupied. In 1966, Sembawang was a popular area, largely because of its closeness to Johore Bahru. During that era, The Nautical would have been positioned on the outskirts of S. Simpang Village. Furthermore, a market was found 220 metres north of the condominium site. +++ This is a representation of how the vicinity surrounding HDB Sun Sails might have appeared in the early 1970s.
