bercardor
Hi CecilMe again. I am dog year (1970) , fire element. Lucky element is wood(1)I had placed a small bamboo plant on my metal hifi cabinet. Is this ok?(2) I had also place one laughing buddha and one god of wealth on my TV. Both status are individually sealed inside a round plastic with water and a few gold coins. Are these ok too?(3)I had put two pineapple decoration on my hifi speaker (the speakers are hanged on the wall). My one-seater sofa is under one of the hifi speaker. Does this consider a "overhead beam"?(4) Is it ok for both adult and baby to wear other people old clothes? Or is it only good for baby but not adult?(5) Is it true that one's main door and walls should not hang too much decoration? If yes,is it ok to hang new yr decoration and take out when the 15th days of new year is gone? (6) My house is surrounded my schools. One of the school building has a /\ shaped roof top pointing at my master room. But my floor level is higher than that building. Is this consider poison arrow? If yes, what will it affect me and how can I solve this? There is another cone shaping (look like a rocket) building with sharp roof top infront of my master room too. Does this also consider poison arrow? Pls see the below shape./ \| || |-Thanks for your patience.
Staff Cecil Lee Posted February 24, 2000 Staff Share Posted February 24, 2000 Dear Anon,Please see below: Quote On 2/23/00 7:54:00 PM, Anonymous wrote:Hi CecilMe again. But if you are a strong fire person, then water would be a better alternative as it helps `cool' down the strong fire. If wood is used, it would further increase your strong fire resulting in health or competition at work. Quote (1)I had placed a small bambooplant on my metal hificabinet. Is this ok? A small plant would normally make little impact. This should be ok. Quote (2) I had also place onelaughing buddha and one god ofwealth on my TV. Both statusare individually sealed insidea round plastic with water anda few gold coins. Are these oktoo? Generally, this is more towards `belief' than Feng Shui. It should normally be ok. Quote (3)I had put two pineappledecoration on my hifi speaker(the speakers are hanged onthe wall). My one-seater sofais under one of the hifispeaker. Does this consider a"overhead beam"? This would be considered `inauspicious' in Feng Shui. On one hand, it does look like a overhead beam. The other (not FS), is to check how secure it is. Quote (4) Is it ok for both adultand baby to wear other peopleold clothes? Or is it onlygood for baby but not adult? Under Chinese beliefs, it is not so much of one wearing old clothes but rather, avoid wearing torn clothes.`Torn' clothes symbollically imply `poor' or cannot afford to buy clothings.I know some people would `squeal' especially those who both torn (but fasionable) jeans:) *Joke* Generally, the `older' folks avoid wearing `feasonable' torn clothings:) Quote (5) Is it true that one's maindoor and walls should not hangtoo much decoration? If yes, isit ok to hang new yrdecoration and take out whenthe 15th days of new year isgone? It is best to take down Chinese New Year decorations a few days after Chinese New Year. Yes, it is the general belief to remove after the last day (15th day). Quote (6) My house is surrounded myschools. One of the schoolbuilding has a /\ shaped rooftop pointing at my masterroom. But my floor level ishigher than that building. Isthis consider poison arrow? Ifyes, what will it affect meand how can I solve this? The test is to stand at the window. If you can (at eye level) see the /\ it is a poison arrow. But based on your (above) description, it does not sound like a poison arrow. A curtain would be effective to shield from such a poison arrow. Quote There is another cone shaping(look like a rocket) buildingwith sharp roof top infront ofmy master room too. Does thisalso consider poison arrow?Pls see the below shape./ \| || |-Thanks for your patience. Usually, this is not a threat to the master bedroom. If it is on the right of the window, it can be considered a `penmanship peak'. Where if one studies on a table overlooking it (on the right), it is said that `the child can become a scholar.' I have covered this in some past messages. Perhaps can search for " penmanship " or peak. The worry concern would be if this object is directly outside the frontage of the house. Some Feng Shui practitioners may consider it the equivalent of a joss stick. But the direct `threat' is usually a chimney stack e.g. thin and narrow shape. Which may spell `death' to the breadwinner. This falls under, Symbolism in Feng Shui and Shapes and Form School of Feng Shui.Warmest Regards,Cecil
