karmaseed
There seems to be a discrepancy on which way to take the compass reading in order to get the facing palace and exact direction to plot natal flying stars. Some say, take it at the front door in the threshold, while others say you need to take the direction from the center of the home. If taking the direction from the center of the home is accurate, why would anybody angle their door to change the incoming direction? Please clarify which os most accurate and why. Staff Cecil Lee Posted yesterday at 12:00 AM Staff Share Posted yesterday at 12:00 AM Hold on just a moment! Facing direction is no accident. It’s intentional and one of the key fundamentals in Flying Star Feng Shui. It’s quite uncommon for Flying Star Feng Shui readings to be taken from the center of the house. +++ For High rise apartments An In-depth understanding of the Frontage of a home. For eg. towards the living room windows or its balcony (if applicable) For Landed Homes For landed homes, readings are usually taken by standing inside the front door and looking outward [Direction]. Sometimes, if a home’s backyard faces a beautiful lake or a wide, open space, that side of the house can actually be considered the frontage. The frontage doesn’t always have to be the front door of the house.
Staff Cecil Lee Posted yesterday at 01:27 AM Staff Share Posted yesterday at 01:27 AM Compass readings differ based on the spot from which they are taken. Compass readings vary by location due to magnetic declination, which is the angle difference between magnetic north and true north. Staff Cecil Lee Posted 6 hours ago Staff Share Posted 6 hours ago Extract of Feng Shui Compass Readings: For those who are conservative in only considering e.g. standing inside the main door looking out to take a compass reading of the FRONTAGE; Could perhaps look at this layout plan. In my opinion, the facing direction should instead be standing at marking A taking a reading towards marking B. Be it from the living / dining; master bedroom or bedroom 3 (blue marking A to B). This is because in the past when many of the text-books were written; there were no high rise buildings for the ancient geomancers to write about. For example who would be living inside a pagoda structure. Source: +++ Aside from the mechanics of Flying Star Feng Shui, one helpful reason to take readings this way is that, unlike a reading taken from the center of a home, the outcome can vary depending on how you decide where that center is. However, when you take readings (above) from point A toward point B, the process is clear, simple, and makes sure there’s no confusion or ambiguity in these standard readings. - Cecil Lee, Geomancy.net
