Feng Shui Courses on Geomancy Online

Dear Cecil and Robert,
I gathered from Geomancy-online that you are arranging with a reputable U to offer the FS courses.
Does that eventually lead to a complete Degree in Feng Shui?
Is that sufficient enough to get one started to be a FS practitioner?
I believe that experience is essential to the FS profession. Is it possible to arrange for some field trips to live sites, after learning all the theories and computation methods?
Does Geomancy-U help to offer career opportunities to the graduates?

Rose

No, if you read properly, we are working with the University to offer FS
courses as a subject in their degree. For example in a Masters of
International Business as an `elective' subject.

If we are offering a Degree in Feng Shui, at the current moment, it would be
offered from Geomancy University. Maybe, later on but no promises here as a
few Universites are keen to participate in our programme. Therefore no
promises here yet.
Eventually we will offer a Degree in Feng Shui.

I agree with you. Field work is essential here. Presently, this is still
feasible as students can do field work and this would be considered in their
assessment for their paper qualifications. There are many Distance Learning
programmes that allows the student to obtain a degree and we will make use
of all available `teaching' and `field work' techniques when we devise our
course structure.
Our main aim is to `produce' a well-rounded thinking graduate who is highly
sought after and respected.

Does Geomancy-U help to offer career opportunities to the graduates?

Currently we have many students taking our courses all over the world e.g.
from US, Europe, South America, Africa, India and the Far East. Career
opportunities would depend on how Feng Shui is seen from the `consumers' of
each country.
For those residing in the US and South America, the prospects are good
because FS is well received in many areas.
Frankly, even in the Far East, Feng Shui practioners do not call their
companies : ABC Feng Shui etc.. but rather ABC Geomancy Services, XYZ
Geomancy Services.
The reason for this is simple, in the Far East, a Feng Shui practioner
cannot rely solely on Feng Shui assessments for their bread and butter. In
order for them to survive, they need to cater to as large segment of the
population as possible. For example " from birth to death ".
For example, these Geomancers will do consultations to find a good name for
a new born; do their Pillars of destiny; other areas include Feng Shui home
/ office audits, divinty readings e.g. Face and palm reading and older Feng
Shui Masters also do assessment of burial sites.
Therefore, if you see the above reason or logic, even in the East, Feng Shui
practioners cannot survive on Feng Shui alone.
They would have to survive on " Geomancy " i.e. Feng Shui, Pillars of
Destiny, Chinese Astrology, Face and palm reading etc..
This is why some Feng Shui practioners in the West, I believe not only
charge their clients for the Feng Shui assessment but also add hidden costs
e.g. bring along windchimes, portable fountains etc... in the hope of
selling more.
This is why you notice Geomancy.net does not use the term " Feng Shui " as
we will also be covering all aspects of Geomancy in the near future.
Warmest Regards,
Cecil Lee
