Definition of 'Chi'

Hi Cecil,
Is there a fixed pattern flow of chi in & within the house? Does 'chi' only comes in from the main door or it can also come in from the windows. When I open my main door, it is quite windy, do this have any relation to the flow of 'chi'?
Can I enhance fengshui, just from my bedroom?
Let say if I rent a room or the breadwinner (parents) of the house do not want to "practise" fengshui.
Thanks.
Regards.

Hi Cecil,
Is there a fixed pattern flow of chi in & within the house? Does 'chi' only
comes in from the main door or it can also come in from the windows. When I
open my main door, it is quite windy, do this have any relation to the flow
of 'chi'?

Let me take an example of HDB flats where nearly 90 percent of the Singapore
population lives. Many of these houses are `unique'. Especially the older
flats e.g. the 3 room flats with flat roofs and rectangular shape or the
five room `point block' flats.
Many of these flats have more `light' and `air' flowing from the windows of
the living room and this exit out of the kitchen or the rooms. The qi in
such cases is more intense than coming from the main door which can be at
the side of the living room.
Some more `innovative' Feng Shui practioners have taken account of this.
What they do is that would advise the client to `prevent' qi from coming
directly into the living room windows and exit out of the e.g. the kitchen
windows. One simple method is to close diagonal set of windows. This concept
is the same as avoiding qi flowing out of the home immediately.
Qi can be classified into various categories:
1. If one has a store room and if one do go into it, you can feel that you
are `suffocating'. This can be considered as bad. Another qi classified
under this category is `dead qi' which is bad. It is ` stagnant ' and non
moving.
2. Beneficial Qi. This qi can be described as qi coming in from the living
room windows or main door. If it is allowed to meander and flow slowly
around the home, it is good.
3. Sha Qi is any poison arrows pointed towards the home. It can also be the
qi of the ceiling beam `pressing' down or exerting a force.
Here, we do not use the Compass School of Feng Shui but rather the Shapes
and Form School of Feng Shui. Under the Shapes and Form School of Feng Shui,
as you have mentioned the `frontage' of the house should preferably be
`bright'. Therefore, for a HDB flat or just any home you also need to
consider the " FRONTAGE " of the house.

want to "practise" fengshui.

You can still practise:
1. Yin and Yang concept i.e. you have to ask yourself, how you use your
room?
Do you work? or study? If you work, then most likely you come home to rest.
So make the room more `yin'. If you study you may make it more `yang'.
2. Use the personal best directions under the Eight House Theory.
3. You can do a Flying Star of the sector where you sleep to see what are
the stars " flying " in you room for the period of time.
4. You can use the Pillars of Destiny to understand your heaven luck and by
understanding it, you can have some influence on your life.
Warmest Regards,
Cecil Lee
