Clearing bad energies from previous tenants

Hi,
I'm about to move into a room, in which there's a big statue that commemorates the holocaust.
I can't take it out of the room, so I'm building a podium around it. What I would like to know is this:
Is there anything I can do to purify the negative energies this statue radiates?
Also - Is there any way to clear the room from the old tenant's vibes?
I'm really not a very big expert (Actually, I know next to nothing on FS) - so I'd appreciate a simple straight-forward answer.
Thank you in advance,

Dear Anon,

1. It is best to simply cover the big statue (if you can) rather than building a podium.

2. A simple solution is to use any clean bedsheet to cover it from top to bottom.

3. It is good to have a clean and bright room. If your room has a window, it is best to allow as much natural light into the house.

4. Usually, by moving in, for a few days, the vibes of the old tenants should be cleared. Unless, there are very old antique furnitures.

Warmest Regards,
Cecil
