nntpguest
Dear Master Lee,Need your advice on the "facing direction" concept.Anyway, I remember I read a book some time ago and it statedthat, the facing direction of a house is not necessarybe the main door of a house. It can be a window,or even the back door - depends on "what" or "where"it faces. For instance, if the back door faces a busy main roadand the main door faces a wall or jungle (somehow),then, the facing direction will be measured from thecenter point to to the back door. (and not the main door)How true is this statement? For my case, I am staying in HK and most of the peoplehere stays in flats. The main door either faces the neighbour's dooror a wall. But, however, normally the balcony or windows of the living roomfaces directly to the sea, another block and the busy main street.Does that mean the facing direction of the house is measured differentlyi.e. not to the main door ?Secondly, regarding the sleeping position. When you say thesleeping position is West, does that mean the arrow ofthe compass that points right towards the back of our headshows WEST ? (after adjusting the arrow to points to north ?)i.e.^NORTH-------|o -- Quote WESTleg headAnd at my working place, when I sit on my chair andplace a compass on my table it shows WEST.(after adjusting the relevant arrow to North)0 ---WEST|_ ____| | | (my table)Is "WEST" my work position or is it "EAST" which is at theback (just like the sleeping position ?)Thank you in advance. Staff Cecil Lee Posted February 21, 2003 Staff Share Posted February 21, 2003 Dear Anon,1. If you have the time, please go thru this resource:-http://www.geomancy.net/resources/art/art-cecilcompass.htm2. If one is applying Compass School of Feng Shui, if one looks a it carefully, for example if you house or apartment or many others that belong to Period 7 (1984 to 2003), most of such houses / apartments has bad influence at the East and South.Given this very general idea/information, most of the time, even if we take the door direction `wrongly' - this is very subjective: all the time the base # number plus the yearly and monthly base # will remain the same. The only thing that change is the #mountain #water. 3. Overall, and very generally, most of the time, the answer is nearly almost the same e.g. East and South - inauspicious sectors.Warmest Regards,Cecil Quote On 2/21/2003 12:12:06 AM, Anonymous wrote:Dear Master Lee,Need your advice on the"facing direction" concept.Anyway, I remember I read abook some time ago and itstatedthat, the facing direction ofa house is not necessarybe the main door of a house. It can be a window,or even the back door -depends on "what" or "where"it faces. For instance, if the back doorfaces a busy main roadand the main door faces a wallor jungle (somehow),then, the facing directionwill be measured from thecenter point to to the backdoor.
