myfs_95325
Dear Master Lee,I have read gone thru your website and find it knowledgeable and interesting. Have some question on determining the center of my apartment, do we include an extended out terrace/balcony as this will change the center point of the house. Also in the flying star theory, there are lots of numbers that appear in the chart that I have generated from your website, what does it correspond to?ThanksVictor
Staff Cecil Lee Posted August 13, 2003 Staff Share Posted August 13, 2003 Dear Victor,I am glad that you find this website useful. In order to benefit from the information provided under this forum:-1. it is good to write down or note down specific topics of interests;2. Use the SEARCH feature to find out almost any subject;2. Both Eight House and Flying Star Feng Shui belong to the same school: Compass School of Feng Shui. This is a very old resource on Eight House but gives you a good idea on how to find the centrepoint of a home:http://www.geomancy.net/resources/theories/fs-house1.htm3. Left or Right brain: The two schools of Feng Shui is much like human beings - brain functions. Thus; Shapes and Forms Feng Shui is much more spatial/abstract. While numberology such as those numbers found under Flying Star, often appeals more to those who are `mathemically' inclined.Even in the US, often, if one is more humanities inclinedto go to Ivy league schools like Harvard University. For those who are more inclined towards mathematics could go to MIT etc...If you want to find out more about Flying Star, please do a search for this topic.Warmest Regards,Cecil Quote On 8/13/2003 7:30:48 PM, Anonymous wrote:Dear Master Lee,I have read gone thru yourwebsite and find itknowledgeable and interesting.Have some question ondetermining the center of myapartment, do we include anextended out terrace/balconyas this will change the centerpoint of the house. Also in the flying startheory, there are lots ofnumbers that appear in thechart that I have generatedfrom your website, what doesit correspond to?ThanksVictor
myfs_95325
Master Lee,Sorry that I have not made myself clear, yes I have read on how to get the center line but there is one sentence:"Tip 1: Take into consideration only `living' quarters i.e. exclude the garden and the drive-in garage."So is the Terrace/Balcony considered as a "living quarters"?Also, I am thinking of requesting for an on-site visit of home and company, can you let me know the cost by separate e-mail?ThanksVictor Quote On 8/13/2003 7:56:29 PM, Anonymous wrote:Dear Victor,I am glad that you find thiswebsite useful. In order to benefit from theinformation provided underthis forum:-1. it is good to write down ornote down specific topics ofinterests;2. Staff Cecil Lee Posted August 14, 2003 Staff Share Posted August 14, 2003 Dear Victor,1. For the layout plan, often, the emphasis is to try to find the `center-of-gravity' of a home. 2. There is really no hard and fast rule as to whether a balcony can or should be excluded. Often, a more important issue is the garage: as this often occupies a larger area and if we take the entire garage into consideration, it may distort the center-of-gravity of a home.3. For a balcony, it has to be looked into in relation to the entire layout plan. 4. For example, some balcony protrudes on a landed property. If so, often, we should not take this into account.5. If the balcony is within the fringe of the entire layout plan (or top-view) and it does not seem to protude-out of the house, then we may consider it as within the home.6. As mentioned, it depends. And, it is very difficult to give a one-off answer. Feel free to post a layout plan so that I can make comments on where the center-point is.7. As for the second part of your question, I have already sent you a personal e-mail with the information.8. Feel free to call me at my personal network number: 6100-9600 or E-mail: support@geomancy.net, if you require any clarifications.Warmest Regards,Cecil Quote On 8/14/2003 5:31:41 AM, Anonymous wrote:Master Lee,Sorry that I have not mademyself clear, yes I have readon how to get the center linebut there is one sentence:"Tip 1: Take intoconsideration only `living'quarters i.e. exclude thegarden and the drive-ingarage."So is the Terrace/Balconyconsidered as a "livingquarters"?Also, I am thinking ofrequesting for an on-sitevisit of home and company, canyou let me know the cost byseparate e-mail?ThanksVictor
