myfs_90914
Dear Sir,I have a picture with red background and a Chinese word "Luck" written in gold color in the centre of the picture. I want to frame it up but not sure what color frame to use - black or yellow?Since the picture background is red (fire), it will melt the gold color (metal) which is the word. Fire kills metal. Should I use a black picture frame - which means water will extinguish the fire (red color), thus metal (the gold color word) will not be harmed. And the word "Luck" will be preserved.Or should I use a yellow frame? Fire (red) nurtures earth (yellow) which nourishes metal (gold). So instead of fire killing the metal, now I have fire nurturing earth (yellow) which nourishes metal (gold color). So should I use a black frame or yellow frame? Thank you. Staff Cecil Lee Posted February 16, 2004 Staff Share Posted February 16, 2004 Dear Rich,It is prefered to go for yellow instead of black:1. What you had mentioned: fire destroys or melts metal. This is not exactly a "bad thing". Because, the destructive cycle can also be considered as a "wealth" cycle. Thus when fire melts metal, this is considered good because it is producing wealth. For example if we look at another element: Wood destroys earth. We can imagine, that a tree has roots and it's roots go into the earth to get nourishment.2. Why yellow?Yellow represents earth. When fire melts metal, metal is exhausted. And earth helps to nourish metal, producing more wealth.3. This concept is similar to a Chinese ancient coin with a square hole in the middle often (6 coins tied with red string) where:Circular or round coin = metal elementCopper or bronze coin = metal elementRed string (tie a bundle of coins) = fire elementHere, fire is used to control metal element. Or fire melts gold to produce wealth. And after doing so, the square hole at the centre (representing earth) helps to strength the metal.Warmest Regards,Cecil Quote On 2/16/2004 5:57:18 PM, Anonymous wrote:Dear Sir,I have a picture with redbackground and a Chinese word"Luck" written in gold colorin the centre of the picture.I want to frame it up but notsure what color frame to use -black or yellow?Since the picture backgroundis red (fire), it will meltthe gold color (metal) whichis the word. myfs_79761
Dear Mr. Lee:1. Would it be also good to use gold frame? or2. What color do you suggest for background, chinesse symbols (good luck, doble happiness, wealth, health, etc.) and framing do you suggest.3. What areas of the house should I display them?4. Would they energize and bring such abundances?Thank you for your always educated comments.Sincerely,Elda Pacheco Quote From: "free-advice Listmanager" Reply-To: "Discuss :: Free Advice (General Feng Shui)" To: (Recipients of 'free-advice' suppressed)Subject: Color SchemeDate: 16 Feb 2004 15:04:13 -0800From: Cecil LeeDear Rich,It is prefered to go for yellow instead of black:1.
