How can I benefit from Star 8 at NE?

Dear Master Cecil:
I would like you could help me with the following doubts. I live in N2 facing house, my bedroom is on the second floor and it occupies mostly NE and E sectors. The NE has m5w9b1 combination and E has m5w9b5.This year good star #8 is in the NE.How can I benefit from it taken into account the above mentioned star combos? What should I place here?or What remedies should I place?

In my opinion, in your case, it is best to First-fix-the leak!
What you had described i.e. your bedroom falling between NE and E with potent inauspicious combinatins of
NE = M5 W9
and
E = M5 W9 B5
Are very inauspicious combinations. Where 5 is already bad but fueling it with W9 is equally bad.
As mentioned in a similar reply to this type of question, today (forum message):
Try to:
1. Avoid using particularly YELLOW (earth) and / or FIRE (Red, pink or purple) within this room.
2. If need to use constant metal e.g. outside the bedroom window with a wind chime or other constant metal or even a glass jar filled with salt /six coins - please do a search for the exact - items for this.
3. Because #8 and #5 are same earth elements - trying to enhance one could inadvertently inflame the other!
Thus seriously I personally feel that you should (MUST) "FIX-THE-LEAK, FIRST!"
