Water Star + Base Star = 10

Dear Mr Lee
I read one Fengshui book that says if a house has each sector's water star and base star added up and equals to 10 in every sector, it is a very auspicious house that will have good prosperity and academic success. An example is a house sitting south and facing north.
Is this true? However it also stated that frontage must have either
water star 7,8 or 9. But it is Period 8 now, does frontage has 7 still
deemed auspicious although its still added up to 10.

The above is an interesting post from 2004. My period 8 house this year 2011 has this sum of 10 for all flying star sectors and also a 9m 7w at my front door. I wonder whether this forumer's post is still valid?

These are some of the considerations:-
1. Time Dimensions and Flying Star #numbers
1.1. Current significance of star numbers:
1.1. Under the Flying Star Feng Shui, there are a total of 9 numbers or 9 grids or (9 star ki).
1.2. We are now under Period 8: 2004 to 2023.
1.2.1 According to the Flying Star Period; the reigning number is suppose to be very auspicious.
1.2.2 The major stars under the 20 Year Flying stars are the #Water and #Mountain stars. While many geomancers treat the base star (or palace) star as of lesser significane.
1.3. Therefore since we are under Period 8: 2004 to 2023:-
1.3.1. #8 = Current Prosperity = Very auspicious often considered as current luck or often range from now to 2 years.
1.3.2. #9 = Future prosperity star (

2. Thus, using Flying star Feng Shui, it would be good that a home has both the #8's (now till 2023) to be at the "frontage" of the home and not wasted at the back of the home.
3. Some homes have good #8's but littered with bad stars in some of it's sectors.
4. Imagine, in the past, Ford motors differentiate their cars: e.g. Ford Telstar or Ford Laser. They have a base model known simply as "Ford Telstar". and another with more features called Ford Telstar GHIA. The GHIA is in reverence to the designer.
5. Today, all sorts of cars have different ways of differentiating their product!
6. For example, the Japanese car brand Toyota: They have their Toyota and Lexus.
7. Sum-of-ten IN GENERAL can be considered like the Ford Telstar with GHIA model. For example, the GHIA model would come with leather seats; better fittings and features..
8. Maybe for the Toyota; their higher end model the Camry (although an old man's car); which is perhaps equal to the double #8's. But add in the sum-of-ten; then you upgrade to a Lexus.
9. Location, location, location!
9.1. The sum-of-ten best works with Shapes and Forms Feng Shui. Feng Shui cannot work in isolation.
9.2. Thus, don't dream of"coating" thewhole four walls of one's home with gold; but when one steps out of the home; all else outsidecrumbles....
9.3.Furthermore,even for students; our assessment papershave to be marked and graded.
9.4. Thus, no fool would tell us that all homes = 100 percent perfect or graded A+++.
10.For every home, your home's Fung Sway canvary drastically from your neighbour's.
10.1.Never have an utopian view that all homes are / were/ was /has bee/ had been/ would have been /should have been / may have been / could be created equal!
10.2. Thus some home have the sum-of-ten but FAIL misearably in their Fung Sway. Some homes, have excellent Feng Shui.
