myfs_104676
Hi everyone!I am new to the list and, actually, rather new to Feng Shui, so excuse my ignorance, but....... here goes.My husband and I are in the process of redesigning our bath/laundery room. They are currently combined and are located somewhat central in our home. When you walk in the front door, there is a foyer. Walk up a few steps and turn to your right, down one step into the den. The den is actually an L shapeand in the L is the laundery and bath. (The top of the L is adjacent to the foyer.) We want to separate the laundery from the bath (I am so sick of having to clean the laundery room and put up a shield when company comes over.) The current door for the laundery/bathroom is down the hall closer to the bottom of the L. We were planning to put the bathroom closer to the top of the L, but I was reading that this is bad Feng Shui. Would it be smarter to put the bathroom toward the bottom of the L (toward the back of the house) and the Laudery Room closer toward the front door (seems weird to me)? Or should we have the door for the bath off the den side as opposed to the hallway to the right of the L. I understand that we can cure the defect with mirrors or bamboo flanks, but would rather build it right so as not to need to do the cures (hate the idea of the mirrors). I hope this makes sense and thanks in advance for your help.Gayle
Staff Cecil Lee Posted July 20, 2004 Staff Share Posted July 20, 2004 Dear Gayle, Would it be possible to provide a simple sketch. Thanks, Cecil Quote My husband and I are in the process of redesigning our bath/laundery room. They are currently combined and are located somewhat central in our home It would be especially be better if the toilet bowl or basin or bath-tub does not itself be at the centrepoint of the home.
