Hi Master Cecil,

My husband & I staying with his parents in a 5-room HDB flat. The house's lessee is my husband's father (kua no 3). My husband (kua no 3) and his mum (kua no 6) are the co-lessee. Presently, there is my sis-in-law (kua no 6) and me (kua no3) and my baby (kua no 9).

I have done a bit of basic fengshui study.Under Lo Shu square, themain door is facing Northeast. I did compass measurement too. My husband & I sleep in the main bedroom which is at Northwest. The 2 toilets are in the centre of the house.Due to thedesign plan of the house the Northeast square is missing. The living and Dining is in a straightline Kitchen in the East.

I would like to enquire for my husband and his father , the main door is in inauspicious direction. One thing I notice is my mum-in-law has 4D lucks in this house but not for my father-in-law and my husband. Though my fahter-in-law hasoccasionaltoto luck. My husband has no luck.

I wanted to know is it the position of the house affects the luck? My husbandand I want to move out and have our own family life. His family refuses to let us go. Is this due to the house luck fengshui. My in-laws refuse to let us do anything fengshui in the house. I wonder if we can do it in our main bedroom?

Thank you so much for the patience.

Yours,

Dear Anon,

Actually, when we consider luck under metaphysics (Geomancy), we should look at it from a holistic approach involving three types of luck:-

Previously, I have already mentioned about three kinds of luck:-

1. Heaven Luck (known as Luck that was given to us when we are born)

If we can see our Ba Zi chart, it comes under the category known as Pian Cai or "lottery or windfall" luck.

Some of us are quite lucky while others do not have this type of luck at all. Worse, some of us have this luck only when we are at death bed e.g. 99 or 100 years old!

2. Earth Luck (or commonly known as Feng Shui)

While some of us many not have Pian cai or lottery luck, some of us, get our influence from our earth luck.

For example, good Shapes and Forms Feng Shui is one factor. Another is the application of Flying Star Feng Shui.

Under Flying star Feng Shui, if we are able to properly tap our flying star luck e.g.

#8 = present prosperity

(Under #8, commonly the Mountain star #8 has to do with relationship and lottery luck).

(Under water star #8, it is suppose to bring generally good wealth luck)

#9 = future prosperity and #1 = future future prosperity.

Of-course, it also boils down to the three words: "location, location and location".

3. Human Luck or Man Luck

Often, for many newly married couples, we aspire to own our own home, both for privacy as well (especially the daughter-in-law) does not need to treat the parents-in-law home with some "discomfort".

Under this holy trinity of Geomancy: Heaven, Earth and Human Luck, we can see that sometimes, perhaps a home may not have very good Feng Shui, or we may not necessarily have good Heaven luck, but if we do have good Human (Man) Luck, often, this can bring up our total LUCK.

Warmest Regards,
Cecil
