Enhance qi

Hi Master,

I have read thatqi wouldenter thehouse through the main door, and the qi couldgreatly be enhanced if the depth from the main door to the direct wall is deep enough. Is that right?

For my house, when enterthe main door, the depth from the main door to the direct wall is not deep enough. The direct / blocking wall is one ofthekitchen wall. I have the following questions:

1. If I knock down this wall and replace it with full height glass panel, will it helps to enhance the qi?

2. Will placing a mirror on the wall facing the main door helps?

3. Will having 3/4 height wall (knocking down thw top part) helps to enhance qi?

If all the above are not feasible, you could please advice what could be done to remedy?

Thanks,

TimLaughing

Dear Tim,

Actually, there can be some "misunderstanding", here with regards to the statement: "qi would enter the house through the main door".

Frankly, this is just a simplistic explanation to quantify that qi exists.

However, qi can enter a home from any directions if there are any openings be it a window, the backdoor or any crevice or holes or any openings - vents in any home.

For the purpose of applying Flying Star Feng Shui, often the "frontage" of a home is located. And for the purpose of Flying Star Feng Shui, once this "frontage" or mouth is determined, it can be used to plot the flying star chart to determine where the best qi to e.g. place a water position etc...

Apologies, but frankly, not sure what type of theory this is? This is the first time I hear of "thinning a wall to enhance qi. In this case, might as well not have a solid home. But perhaps one made entirely of cardboard box?

No offence, but in my opinion, this is a wrong way to work on "enhancing qi".

From what I read, you mentioned the need for a "remedy". But in the first place, what is there to remedy if the door is a perfectly normal set of entrance.

It is not good to place a mirror wrongly i.e. such as facing the main door directly.

Even if it is good Feng Shui in the first place, in commonsense approach to Feng Shui or purely on commonsense; for example, if we are in deep thoughts and the moment we open the main door and immediately see a shadow of a person, some of us may get a "shock!" thinking that someone else is at the home.

Warmest Regards,
Cecil

Hi Master Lee,Laughing

Thankyou for replying and providing some logical explaination.

I have another question. So,when living inhigh rise building (such as houses in Hong Kong or Singapore) wheremost of the apartments have their doors in theenclosed area, eg 4 unit facing common area with lifts landing and with bedroom windows facing open space / swimming pools; under such environment, does it mean that qi entering the house through the window is much better than through the door?

Thanks,

Tim
