6. However, some landed properties have their main entrance located on the side of the house. For example, after entering the property, the main door may be situated on the side. If a row of houses shares this same side entrance, or if the main door directly faces another property nearby, it's better not to use this door as the main entrance. Instead, it’s recommended to identify the true frontage of the home. This is similar to certain apartments we may have visited or lived in.

7. The entrance to the house is important in Feng Shui, as it is believed to be the point where positive energy, or Qi, enters and influences the overall atmosphere inside.

8. On a piece of land, the main entrance is often called the "mouth of the house." However, it’s the combination of the main entrance and features like windows at the front that help determine the facing direction.

9. The facing direction is the way from which most air, or Qi, enters the house. You can think of it like sitting in a convertible—with the air flowing towards your face. This main flow of Qi helps us identify the facing direction, which is the central idea behind facing and the mouth of the house.

10. Once you determine the facing direction, it’s easy to identify the sitting direction, as it is directly opposite the facing direction.
