Staff Cecil Lee Posted August 16, 1999 Staff Share Posted August 16, 1999 Hi, I understand why you’re concerned. From your description, it sounds like the park behind your home probably doesn’t have water but is mostly flat. Here are a few things to keep in mind: 1. You can create a solid “backing” behind your house by putting up a fence. Good fencing options include brick walls, fences with creepers, fences with bushes in between, or fences with privacy strips like those used in army camps, as well as wooden plank fences for added privacy. 2. Adding a few medium-sized trees (not large ones) behind the house can also be helpful. 3. This isn’t about Feng Shui, but ideally, the park shouldn’t be a playground where ball games are played, as this could lead to broken windows or damage to your roof.
