Dear Sophie,

hi when looking for missing corners and extentions........do u look at the floor plan or the roof structure shape?

In general, the major exterior wall of the floorplan will define the shape of the structure. The roof usually follow accordingly. Unless in very special layout where the roof covers some of the missing corners but unless I am not wrong this is quite rare. In most cases, we based on which is the exterior wall to form the shape of the house. Those which is beyond the exterior wal, we normally will classify it as extentions.

also is a deck seen as an extention?

Usually a deck is usually an extension as it is an exterior rather than part of the interior of the house.

Hope that helps.

hi robert,

our roof is designed that it will cover theoutdoorpatio so it looks like a missing corner in relasionships if u look at the roof, but if u look at the floor plan it looks like we have an extension in wealth.
