The two major schools of Feng Shui:- 1. Shapes and Forms 2. Compass School of Feng Shui (Eight House/Flying Star) All homes that have "Quantum Leap" in Feng Shui MUST have good Shapes and Forms. Having good Compass School "directions" is nice to have. Majority if not all homes that have "Quantum Leap" cannot fully depend only on Compass School, Feng Shui. This is the difference between the two major schools of Feng Shui.

1. The smart, gets good advise the first time they search for a new home. They do it once, RIGHT, that's all. And the smart goes to concentrate on better things to do! 2. The ignorant, buys the home and then pays Feng Shui emporiums to stock their homes with rubbish products. 3. The ignorant, also asks Geomancers for first-aid in the form of "pasting elastoplast" all over their "leaking" home. So which is more important? Invest in advise to purchase a good home? Or wait until the home is purchased before calling a Geomancer to apply first-aid to resuccitate the home?

1.The 2-dimension view (top-down) layout plan, shows that most likely the frontage is at West. This is often the case as the Living Room cum Dining room shares the stretch of the window at the West. 2. Sometimes, the frontage MAY be a the side with the four trees cum road. But perhaps, most likely, this side of the road may be noiser as the garden here is narrower (than that at the West). 3. Thus, based strictly on the layout plan, it looks more likely that the frontage is at West.

1. Please note that the dates are based purely on the way we Chinese calculate auspicious dates. 2. By tradition, the Chinese in the past and even now, don't see Friday 13 as bad!For example, the saying goes.. one man's meat is another man's poision. Even in the western world, there are some who says that Friday 13 is lucky for them, while perhaps, majority fear it. 3. For the Chinese, especially the Hokkien Dialect group, the no. 6 is considered a lucky number. As the phonetic sound in Hokkien dialect : "6" means LUCK. Especially for Christians, many don't like "666" - devils number. But to Chinese Hokkiens, 666 means LUCK, LUCK, LUCK. 4. Thus, what is suppose to be …

1. Thanks for the illustration. 2. Yes, moving the kitchen to Bedroom 3 (SW) is a double edged sword! As you had mentioned the stars at SW ain't good. In addition, in general, SW is considered as the "indirect water wealth" spirit location (up to the year 2023). Thus it can affect one's wealth. 3. Based on the layout plan, the "good thing" is that NW is not directly within the compass cardinal point of NW. You can still have especially the stove (if possible) closer to the North sector of the kitchen. Quote: Anonymous wrote: Dear Master Cecil, We finally received our new apartment and currently planning for the renovation. As you can see from the attached file, the cur…

1. It is highly unusual for three "normal" sized rooms to straddle the north compass direction. Usually at most two rooms are affected. 2. These are some of the considerations:- 2.1Are there any windows in these rooms? Yes/No? 2.1 Even if there are windows, are there any that are larger? 2.3 Even if we do have windows, are they opened all (most) of the time? If the window(s) are not opened, for example, seldom if ever opened, then qi will often not flow. So no issue - no need for a cure. 2.4 Are any of these rooms occupied or unoccupied? If unoccupied, or not a bedroom, then no need to place any cures. 3. If these are not bedrooms, then one may consider a wind chime…

In my opinion, if it is a of "normal" size, home air purifier, this should not be an issue. Quote: Theresa K. wrote: Will it be alright to put a water ( air purifier) in a bedroom ? However I am not sleeping in that room.

Star 1 is suppose to be a good star. If it is the water star, then often, opening the main door would be great. If it is a mountain star 1, then, it is also good but main door need not be opened (all the time) to activate it.

1. In my opinion, you have to weigh what I had mentioned earlier, such as:- 1.1. Sitting and Facing direction of stove to the female "boss" of the home 1.2. Sector in which the stove is in. 1.3. And other points that I had mentioned earlier on. 2. Traditionally, in the past, often the sink would "sit" higher than the stove. For example, the height of the stove is often at 34 inches while the sink is higher or greater than 34 inches to not more than 35 inches. This will coincide with the auspicious measurements found on the Feng Shui ruler. 3. However, in modern times (especially) in Singapore, where there are already more than 2,000 condos x at least 200 units on avera…

Thank you foryour clarifications. Based on your reply,my neighbour'sba gua mirror serves two purposes, mainly protection and wealth. Besides adopting your solutions mentioned in point 8 & 9,are there any other simpler solutions to adopt? There are no conflicts between my family and my neighbours so I do not wish to create ba gua war with them. My intention is just to adopt measures to protect my family if my neighbour's ba gua mirror should create some bad impact on my family. Are there any feng shui items I can placed somewhere near my main door to act as a protection against my neighbour's ba gua mirror? Thank you for your time and hope to receive your reply. Tha…

This article I wrote around 1996 (thereabout) shows the danger of underground water. (Underground water may include underground water channels or even sewerage running below a bedroom:- http://forum.geomancy.net/resources/art/art-under.php For those who are building their dream home should take serious note of it. And for those who stay in landed property, it is good to find out where your sewerage pipe is running on the ground level. Hopefully, it is not running below your living room sofa, or even a specific bedroom in the ground floor!

1. Please note that the House Number report is based on the concept "Vertical Flying Star Feng Shui". 2. This is where, it is considered that the qi for all apartments are not the same at different heights. 3. Thus, if or should your homeis a landed property, you should not even use this report at all. Since it is above "vertical qi". 4. Is there is a cure? If it is inauspicious? 4.1 Do take note that it is meant more as a TOOL to analyse which apartment is better to get say within a block of flats. But once, one has already purchased the apartment (flat), nothing else can be done here. For example, currently, there is NO CURE for AIDS or advanced stage of Cancer. …

1. This can be "explained" from a "Commonsense Approach" to Feng Shui. 2. Why is it that many Feng Shui practitioners say that a toilet or near to a toilet is no good? In the past, many Chinese homes do not have a toilet in the home, the toilet is a distance away from the home. 3. I have mentioned this many times: 3.1 One day, while driving along a highway, there was this radio feature, where this fella, says that where-ever one place one's toothbrush in the toilet, there sure to be "germs" on it. This is especially true, if we flush the toilet (bowl) and the fine mists shoots out all over the place. 3.2 And his solution? Buy his disinfection tablets much like those…

1. It's a pity that only in this "crazy" world of Fast Food Feng Shui would someone want to change the bed-head position annually. Think about this! 2. Who in their right frame of mind has ever considered moving the bed, and re-arranging, say the bed room console, and internal arrangements in a bedroom? Again, only those too free or nothing else better to do. 3. Chinese Beliefs: Pregnancy VS Moving Bed - Annually Many Chinese believe that if one is pregnant, one MUST never move the bridal bed, else there could be a likelyhood of an aborted birth. Thus all these talk about moving bed-head to "cater" to the whims and fancies of the Grand Duke or the three killings is …

1. Please note that the link has been fixed, it should be working. 2. Since both of you intend to stay at both homes, your earth luck or Feng Shui will be influenced by the two homes and even the place of work. Frankly, there is no scientific accountability as to how much luck or influence comes from which home. However, logically, if you were to stay at a home from Monday to Friday (5 days) vs Saturday and Sunday (2 days) then the weightage may be mathematically divided based on this ratio. But, really, must life be so calculated? 3. In my opinion, your existing home or the Monday to Friday home should have the highest influence. 4. As to missing corners, very recentl…

1. Please re-read my previous reply. 2. If you are DIY Feng Shui, then, try to see if you can apply Flying Star Feng Shui. As Flying Star Feng Shui maps out the "birth-chart" of a home. And things like water star #8 is a good location to place a water feature (distinct from whether you are a weak fire or not). If your water position is placed on a water wealth location, then it is fine. (A water position may also be placed at a water star #1, location) 3. In general, from now to 2023, avery good location to activate water position MAY be the South-West sector. Which is in general, known as the "water-wealth-spirit" location of a home. 4. Under Flying Star, what could b…

1. This is one of the most asked questions (for the past 10 years) of forum resources. Why don't you use your fingers to do a SEARCH. 2. First and foremost, there are sufficient info for these three "steps":- http://wiki.geomancy.net/wiki/The_Three-Step-Approach 3. 1. Please note that BOTH Eight House (Eight Mansions or East/West Group) and Flying star Feng Shui belong to the Compass School of Feng Shui. 2. In a very recent reply, I had mentioned that : 2.1 we human beings have a birthday. 2.2 a home also has it's birthday. 3. You are "arguing" on the basis of what suits your birth-chart and imposing this to a home. 4. Instead, of "arguing" about how you can impose your "will" of Feng Shui on the home, think about this: We humans have to harmonise with our environment, FIRST! 5. Thus, the clue is that a home has it's own birth chart. This would depend on where is your proposed facing and sitting directions. 6. Little things l…
