Dear Mary, Mary Marx wrote: Hello everyone, I have a question I would like to know the difference between a fountain that has 6 rungs..(tiers on the fountain) and one that has 7. In the world of Feng Shui everything has a meaning. I would appreciate all of the help that you could give me. Many Blessings, Very Happy Mary What the entire fountain really symbolise depends on how it was designed to look. I can only say from the 6 rungs and 7 rungs is that the numner 6 (Strong Metal) and 7(weak Metal). Metal + Water is a good combination of element. Especially if thefountainis made ofearth (stone like), may result in overall 3 element harmony. ie Earth material, 6/7 Rung (M…

Dear Ann, Ann Loo wrote: Thanks so much for clarification. Incidentally, my master bedroom is on one level directly above the living room and the study is at 2nd level above this. (Its a 2.5 storey house). This will make both the master bedroom andstudy to have the 8-1-8 combination as well. Should I activate the mountain stars for both sectors and how can the mountain star be activated? Will putting paintings of mountain help? Thanks again Yes, in this case the painting of the moutain will help activate the mountain star in the bedroom. And, yes, you can also activate the water star in the living room. But you cannot activate both in the same room/level. Hope that h…

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: I am keen to buy a 10 year old condo unit and would like to redo the entire kitchen and bathrooms. By doing this, I understand that the apartment will fly from period 7 to 8. The problem is, the unit number is good for period 7 but bad for period 8. Period 7 : Prosperity, good wealth. Period 8 : Vomiting. Is it possible to prevent from flying to period 8? Please advise. Thanks. Regards. Usually, once you have any major renovation, it will usually automatically fly over to the new luck period. So, in your case, it may be difficult to retain the existing period. In fact, in such cases where you plan to have major renovations, you should be lo…

Dear David, Teo Tai Wei David wrote: I have read up some article on feng shui that it is not advisable to keep aquarium in the bedroom and I am currently keeping 5 fighting fishes as pet. I have remove it and place it at my kitchen near my washing machine now. They are all housed in small jars with no pump and running water and thus the aquarium is a still water condition. Would they affect my house feng shui? Thank you. If you like it, there is no harm keeping fishes as pets. The only issue, is that such water feature especially large aquarium should not be keep in the bedroom. The reason is rather logical also, you see water in the fish tank tends to give off certain…

Ihave a problem to determine if the lake is considered to be behind or at the front of my terrace house. My main entrance faces my car porch and opposite are other terrace houses. There is only a small window on this side apart from the main door. Upon entering the main door is the kitchen + toilet + maid room, followed by dining hall and then living hall. My living room has large glass window and sliding door and it overlooks a 20ft garden and about 5ft below the garden is a jogging track as well as open space of about 33ft followed by a hugh lake. If the main door is considered as the front of the house, then the lake is at the back which is bad feng shui. However i…

Dear Mark, Mark Thornhill wrote: I have a 4m 7b 8w combination at the front door and I am so very confused as to what to activate. I have read Eva Wongs book and she says that I should concentrate on relationship between 7b and 8w. However, Stephen Skinner says that 4m and 8w should be concentrated on? Generally, there are many rules in flying star application. The easiest what I can advise you is follow these rules:- 1. You should always consider how the 3 element interact with each other and which is auspicious/inauspicious. 4 (weak Wood) 7 (weak Metal) 8 (weak Earth) In period 8, star 4 is average, star 7 is inauspicious, star 8 is auspicious. So the best solutio…

Dear Respected Sirs, I am finalising the design for a new house, and I am having difficulty interesting the architectin Feng Shui considerations. Attached are two images, the first of the original house design, the second with an alteration to the staircase, amongst other things. The architect said he had been told that a staircase could face the front door directly (which I realise is a very undesirable option) as long as a large statue or water fountain was placed between them. He later agreed to modify the design, and produced a curving staircase as shown in the second attached image. My two questions are: 1. Does the curving staircase solve the problem - ie, i…

Also, our friends are slowly dissapearing from our life, is this somehow related? We also do not have a lot of time to spend out of the house since we work at home taking care of old people.

Hello Cecil, I am new to Flying Star Feng Shui and want to know if I should be supporting the facing side of the house by using water outside. If I have a 4 7 8 combination will the water not enhance the mountain wood? By adding fire/earth to enahnce the earth is this not reducing any water outside? Also if I have a pond at the back of the house and this is meant to be sitting Mountain is this bad? Thank you

And is there a particular position (if possible) the dragon should be in order for it to be good feng shui? I mean so far tatoo has always been associated with bad things. So really, even though there isn't anything about feng shui and tattoo. It would seem more like it a tattoo will more likely bring about bad influence rather than good influence. Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: Me and my Husband are western persons but our bedroom is located in our disaster sector what could i do to prevent bad luck?! Eight House repesents suitability. It is really hard to fix it except to minise the use of the room if possible. Here are some of the other areas you should look at to attempt to compensate the luck from other factors:- 1) If possible locate the bed facing a direction that is favourable for your sleeping position. So even if the room is not so suitable, at least you benefit from the better sleeping position. 2) If the room is located where the direction is favourable to your ba zi. Or, if at least the house is suitabl…

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: I am born in Western calendar 6/23/1982 on a free report it shows my element as Fire on others it shows that my element is Water for all 1982. Can someone explain? 1982 is a Water dog year. So if you take the year of birth as a basic element you are born in a water element year. However, in ba zi, we take the day of birth as your true element of the day. Meaning to say that you are born in the Fire day in a Water year. This is because even in the year, there can be a water/wood/fire/earth/metal element person. So that day element represents the most accurate form of the element of birth. So you are essentially a Strong yin Fire born in the …
