Dear Tan, Congratulations on your new job! Unlike the case where it is considered inauspicious to moving-in; frankly, there is no major issue selecting a date to start-work. However, feel free to use our free auspicious date report to check auspicious dates for the next 30 days:- http://date.geomancy.net Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, If possible try to see if you can plot a Flying Star chart. If so, check to see if: #5 misfortune / sickness and/or #2 sickness and/or #9 fire fuelling sickness are in the room or not. The cure depends on the severity of any of the above and or combinations of them. Warmest Regards, Cecil Quote: Anonymous wrote: My EightHouse Report says that it is a bad direction for me ( Spook ).Can that be a reason for my bad health , and how can I help myself if I can?t change my bedroom place?

Dear Anon, For such items, if not in use should preferably be kept in a storeroom. Under Flying Star Feng Shui, it is best to avoid to avoid a soild object such as the grinding stones at bad earth sectors e.g. #5 or #2. Do not want to inflame these sectors with such a "large boulder". Quote: Anonymous wrote: # I have one of those old style grinding stones - a wok-like solid shape with a hole in the middle, where one puts the grain to be ground with the help of a stone pestle. We no longer use it; we kept it because we planned to use it as a display stand, but for now it's just there because we can't make up our mind what to do with it. Does keeping stones like these …

Dear Yew Heng, In general, it sounds, OK. However, some of the key factors include: 1. If one stands in-side the home looking outwards, is there any lamp post, or a tree trunk facing the mainentrance or windows of the home. 2. Where possible, the plot of land is rectangular/squarish in shape. 3. Sewerage pipes / conduits running into the home 4. Drainage locations. Ideally should not cut into the side of the home etc.. Warmest Regards, Cecil Quote: leong yew heng wrote: I would like to buy the new house that near to the T-junction, well myneighbor next to me is directly facing the T-junction and i am not.

Dear Eric, Frankly, if there is a double 7th month, often if someone is celebrating their lunar birthday; then the 1st 7th month is considered their birthday. Given that you have a constrain, here i.e. delay if renovations do not start, then, for practical reasons, you may carry out your renovations. But during the renovation period, avoid or try not to visit the home frequently especially to spent time to eat - sleep or eat - bathe or bathe-eat, there. Avoid performing a "supervisory" role during the 7th month when renovations are carried out. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Tanja, In my opinion, the best trouble-shoot is to apply Flying Star Feng Shui. Most likely certain sectors of your home is affected by one or a combination of any of these "sickness" stars:- #5 misfortune /sickness #2 sickness and often "severe" health issues could be attributed to the addition of #9 to any one or both or a combination of these stars e.g. #5 with #5 with #9 = very, very bad health issues #5 with #9 = equally very, very bad health issues and the severity of health issues can come from any combinations or singular #5, #2 and or #9. In particulars watch out for these stars particularly in any bedrooms and/or frontage of the home or living room a…

Dear Marisol Colon, Marisol Colon wrote: I am a bit confused. I was wondering for instance my husband's Death area (Metal) is West so what do I do here, do I just leave this area alone or do I use another element other than Metal to sort of protect him? I also know that balancing the elements is important. Correct me if I am wrong but to enhance his Propserity area which is South (Fire) I am just going to add a fire element to this area. The Eight House which gives you the 4 good and 4 bad directions are meant to assess suitability for the room or the best directions. So if Death (West) sector) is inauspicious, then it is best that the house does not face West or the be…

Dear Hoa Luong, Yes, one alternative is to place a plant. Alternatively, if we frequently leave the wooden door open, one could consider a reflective grill gate e.g. stainless-steel gate that has a mirror effect that covers most of the side of the gate that faces this stairs. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Trudy, Frankly, there is no hard and fast rule in garden design. Even for gardening, there are many factors involved: 1. plot size 2. weather conditions: Tropics / Four Seasons 3. owner's preferences The type of trees /plants or shrubs would depend on the country we are all in. In Singapore, especially in the 1970's, it is very common for many landed properties to grow a mango tree in one's compound. In many instances, the mango tree (depending on the garden area) is often planted at the corner of one's garden either at the front-of-the-home or at the back. When this tree is often around 10 to 15 years old, they can be as tall as 3 storey's high and leave quite…

Dear Anon, Firstly, a warm welcome! The common saying goes " Rome was not built in a day". Nowadays with easy access to the website, you try to begin exploring authentic Traditional Feng Shui. How to start? The Chinese Luck system is based on "the holy trinity" of luck. And one can classify most of the systems in general under:- 1. Heaven Luck - what one is suppose to be born with 2. EarthLuck - The Feng Shui of one's home &/or office 3. Human or Man Luck - self, relationship with others One useful start is to read the various articles in this forum classified under one of the three categories to better understand the three different luck systems. Other useful…

Dear Karen, 1. Honestly, there is not much that can be done in such a situation. 2. According to the Commonsense approach to Feng Shui, the primary concern is the increased likelihood of a fire originating from the kitchen. Therefore, it is generally not advisable to have a bedroom, door, or wall adjacent to the kitchen. However, in contemporary settings, the installation of fire sprinklers (or, if unavailable, the strategic placement of smoke detectors) is highly recommended. 3. If your residence is constructed with brick walls (or solid brick walls), it is preferable compared to having gypsum or wooden walls that separate the bedroom from the kitchen area…

Dear Chrissy, Not all 3rd day of each lunar month is bad. And many Chinese do celebrate some of the auspicious events on this day:- For example:- 3rd day of every 1st Lunar month Birthday of a Chinese Toaist God commonly called Sun. Many Toaist celebrate his birthday on this date. 3rd day of every 2nd Lunar month Birthday of the Chinese god of literature. 3rd day of every 3rd Lunar month This is the birthday of the God of the protector of the North 3rd day of every 8th Lunar month Birthday of the Kitchen God deity 3rd day of every 10th Lunar Month Birthday of General Mao Especially in the past, because of the birthday significance of such famous gods (deity or ge…

Dear Chrissy, Actually the Chinese 7th month has already started (25th July 2006). This year because of the intercalarymonth falling on 7th lunar month, there is an extra 7th month. Therefore, this year, the Chinese 7th month lasts until 21 September 2006. Traditionally, this is more of a Chinese custom of not moving-in during the Chinese 7th month. However, previously, when information flow is not as prevalent or as international as today, many non-Chinese still continue to move-in during (the Chinese 7th month). Thus, if you are not a Chinese nor do not stay in Asia, then, for practical reasons, you can still move-in during "our - Chinese" 7th month. As not all …

Dear Anon, Usually, this (toilet at the centre) of the apartment is considered as ONE leak. But often, as mentioned, it is considered as ONLY 1 (ONE) leak. Furthermore, what is exactly at the centrepoint is crucial. If it is the toilet bowl directly at the centrepoint then this is considered1 major leak. But directly at the centrepoint is just the entrance or walk area, and basin, then this is not as bad as the toilet bowl at this direct location. Many homes can do with or afford to have more than 1 leak. And as no two homes or apartments are identical; it is best to "investigate" into each home to check for:- 1. whether there are further or moreleaks? 2. what we can d…

Dear Anon, Based on Flying Star Feng Shui, currently many homes that usually have NE or SW facing and that are Period 8 homes should enjoy better Feng Shui or earth luck. As to the perfect home, one chief concern is the external shapes and forms. As this has a great influence on the home. In addition, it is good that the home or apartment should if possible not be affected too much by direct sunlight. For example, we should avoid homes with critical areas "bathed" by the afternoon sun - especially if it is a wall "soaking in the" afternoon sun e.g. master bedroom wall or children's bedroom; living room etc... Such h…

Dear Jack, Feng Shui can help in two situations: 1.Apply the Eight House Theory: Best study directions and Best bed-head directions (for sleep) 2. Yin & Yang; Yang & Yin Many other situations may have to do more with the food you take, your current "stress-levels"; "support-group" etc... 1. Try to generateyour own personal Eight House chart to see where your best work directions are. If possible, but taking into consideration; the bedroom layout plan; you should try to sit facing agood direction for study. It is also nice to have the bed-head facing towards a good direction. But often, like the layout plan that you had sketched out, usually it is much harder …

Dear Anon, The consensus amongst many Geomancers are that there is no issue with the purchase of a home or apartment in the Chinese7th Lunar month. The rationale for this is that as you had mentioned, moving-in is physical. And renovations is noisy - disturb the "ghosts". Anything that is tangible or physical - may therefore affect the "ghosts". While purchasing a home or placing a deposit on a new (perhaps yet to be built or completed) home or apartment does not involve "physical" presence at the new home. Look at it this way, even if the "ghosts" knows where our new home is located, but since it has not been built nor completed, yet, how is he/she (ghost) going to go…

Dear Anon, To understand better, we have to know that there are three kinds of Luck:- Based on the Chinese Holy Trinity of Luck, there are generally, three types of luck:- 1. Heaven Luck (What we are born with) 2. Earth Luck (The Feng Shui of our home and even office) 3. Man or Human Luck (Family, relationships and networking luck) What you have just mentioned is that your husband is considered a "weak fire" person. And this analysis is based on his bazi. Bazi is about Heaven Luck. We don't live in an isolated world. Although it is fine in theory to say that your husband is a weak fire, therefore, water (blue colour) may drown him. And thus wood (green is more suita…

Facing the balcony from the main door, should I place it on the right or the left side ? How many stalks should I put ? Thus, I believe what your friend wanted you to do was to "block" this leak or direct sha qi. If not, it is said that it is difficult to keep money as "money comes and goes out of the home very quickly!". Therefore, the aim is notso much of how m…
