Dear Anon, Quote: Some so called "wise" people remarked on house that if main door is located at bad sector, it should be relocated to a good sector. Then my bathroom/toilet which is in the good sector must be relocated to bad sector in order to suppress the bad "qi". Also my kitchen which is in the rear of my house (good sector) should be moved to inner aprt of my house (bad sector). All these of course will mean huge cost to rennovate. Any one has any comment? Xie-Xie.(thanks) In terms of suitability to sector and house etc. Of course it is ideal to be able to have the luxuary to be able to relocate the various rooms so that it will be favourable for you. It sounds to …

Dear Mohana, Mohana Bommena wrote: What do you/anyone suggest for a couple who have a direction that is Good for the husband but is BAD for the Wife and Vice versa. This has been answered many times if you had just searched the forum. The forum contain severalthousands offrequently asked topics. So most questions people asked are often answered. This is a very common and quite easy to solve by applying the give and take approach. 1) The house should most importantly be suitable to the breadwinner of the family since he/she earn most to support the family. So the breadwinner must get the best facing so as to get the most luck. 2) Since the breadwinner has luck for the…

Dear Christina, Christina Krishnan wrote: Hi, I am pretty new to fengshui. I used the free report to check on my 4 good and bad sectors. I would like to find out if one needs to put something auspicious in the bad direction to avoid problems or do we put them in the good direction? How do we also calculate our lucky days for starting a new job? Basically, the 4 good and 4 bad sectors which is the Eight House concept is only used for checking on suitability of a house and the best directions for sleeping/working/study position. That is about all. For a house, you only use it check if a bedroom is suitable, where is the best position to sleep, where is the best position t…

1. In real life situations; we should consider concepts under the Eight house as "NICE-to-have" and not a "MUST-have". 2. It is best to find outwhat is the true purpose of the eight house theory and what are it's strengths and limitations:- http://wiki.geomancy.net/wiki/The_Three-Step-Approach 3. It works "best" when one is actively searching to buy a new home or remodelling a complete new home. 3.1. Here, it is good to locate sectors are good for us, as bedrooms or locations that we spent most time at. 3.2 Next best is to see if we can sit facing one of our better directions. Other than the above, the theory is limited. As in a real life practical world, often, th…

Dear Beth, Thank you for your information about yourself. To be frank, there are two considerations: 1. the office environment, may not be congenial for your type of work or 2. the job may not be suitable for yourself or may not have good support e.g. work companions. Or other aspects relating to other `sciences' such as Human Resource topics of motivation or even organization behaviour type of analysis. So far, Feng Shui is a holistic method and has several key concepts and theories and thus, at this stage it is difficult to pin-point whether Feng Shui can or cannot help in your office. For the office environment, one usually does not have any say as to the layout and ev…

Hi, Apologise for the late reply. As this message is posted as an anonymous, we do not receive the posting to the mailing list. Most of the books I know of are in traditional chinese. I have yet to come across any Feng Shui books in simplified chinese. You will have to source them out yourself. The books written by Cecil are currently in available in English. Sorry if we are unable to help you on this matter. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

Dear Jon, 3. Singapore is so small. And generally, geographically although it may seem that there is a North / South / NE, Central / West region, but ultimately, Singapore is considered as "south" e.g. south of the Malayan peninsula. 4. If we go by the Eight House theory, and if we separate people into two groups: East and West, sometimes we get "weird" questions like, since I belong to the west group, I should live in the west. 5. Perhaps, this could be used as a silly reason for getting a divorce from a wife that is East group while we are a West group. It does not make sense at all. 6. More importantly, we read Shapes and Forms concept like the office should …

The saying goes: "Take no for all answers!" Even if move-in rituals were predominantly a Chinese thing; "You have to squezee out some procedure for us NON-Chinese, you know!" It is not good enough that you provide free combined auspicious dates: "It must be for ALL MY Family members, you know!" Luckily.. not many are like this...

Edited by Robert: In future, such questions will not receive any reply nor will it be posted, as it will only open up to more users simply posting a date to ask us if it is good or bad. A good date needs to be check for ba zi compatibilty as well as tung shu key alamac influence. Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: Can you advise if 20/May/2006 is a good wedding date? 20 May 2006 is considered po ri (broken day / self-punishment) in the normal tung shu. Else, most of the time most people might avoid it simply because of the po ri (ie self-punishment) which isn't the best date for m…

1. Realistically, there is no "special" cure or "things to do" for such an event. Therefore it is as simple as : Move or Don't move (full stop). Or like questions of Yes or No: Ivory or Ebony. 2. The purpose of giving good dates is already clearly mentioned to you.

Dear Master Lee a good day to start work this year according to your guide would be: 13th February = 2nd Lunar Day 15th February = 4th Lunar Day ++ 17th February = 6th Lunar Day however according to your auspicious dates, catered to my birth day/time, 14th February is the only very auspicious day. I manage a branch office that I can start work any time own my own and my team workers can start any time later too. What does “start work” actually mean; does it mean for individual or for benefit of company? I am thinking if Sunday is a good day, I will start work on Sunday in office for a few hours, issue a receipt and make that my start. My te…

Dear Anon, Actually, in my opinion, charity always begins at home It does not need to be real money but rather, good family bonding and relationships are often the key success factor which is = the human luck factors. Of course, I don't want to sound so cruel as to say that we must always give to charity. But, what I meant that we do all sorts of charity work (already for free) for our immediate family, First. All those things about not giving to the temple etc.. or having repercussions are more of "threats" than anything else. If people are good, generally, don't curse at others. Especially if they are good monks. There is no harm praying but as mentioned above, …

Dear Balbir, Balbir Anand wrote: What is a good direction for a cooking Range to face in the Kitchen for harmony. In general, the best direction for kitchen should go to who does the most cooking in the house to feed the rest of the family. ie if the wife of the house does most of the cooking, then it is best you have the cooking stove/area face the direction she commonly use. This is to give her the best amount of luck when she cooks. You can use the free eight house report to determine the best direction for the person from this link:- URL: http://www.geomancy.net/reports/free-report/freerpt-8h.htm The other method is to depend on the layout. Hi Anon, Yes, Wood by default destroy Earth. This is what we call the destructive cycle of the five element. However, there is a big difference between Weak or Strong Earth. a weak Earth is where you need Fire and Earth to make your weak Earth stronger. However, for a Strong Earth, it means you already have too much of Fire and Earth. Thus, whatever helps you reduce the excessive Earth is good for you. So Wood and Metal helps to control the Strong Earth. So that is why for you Wood becomes your favourable element. East (Wood) and SE (Wood) is a favourable element for a Strong Earth. There is nothing wrong about it. You just have to understand the weak and strong nature…

Dear Cecil, The windows are half-windows, meaning they start from waist level all the way to the ceiling. If this is the case, is there still a need for a low cabinet? Thanks!

Dear Angelique, There are many (many) considerations if one uses Feng Shui to analyse a house: This involves, environmental scanning of the landscape, the site, the building and interior of the home. If the main door is facing the backdoor, this could still be `cureable' e.g. having a divider to shield the backdoor from the main entrance. Warmest Regards, Cecil It is good to look at the conference " Samples that will not receive a proper reply " as this part would end out in that conference.

The shape of the house is xlong, (narrow width). It is built in 1966. I have not taken exact compass reading, but based on your diagram below it is somewhere between 22.5 to 37.4.

Dear Leanne, Under the Eight House or 4 Good/Bad directions concept; it does not change in-time. Our birth-date will determine (once and for all) our best facing (worst) facing directions. This concept of the Eight House and Flying Star Feng Shui both belongs to the compass school of Feng Shui. However, the Flying Star Feng Shui - simply put - is about the birth chart of a home. Look at it this way: humans do not change their birth date. Unless - (if one believes) in re-carnation. On the other hand, often, a building or home is like a `shell' it can be refurbished (major renovation), torn-down etc.. And if so, this changes it's birth date. Yes, it is good not to wait for…

Dear Pam Landin, Generally, a house with good/excellentshapes and form is often more important than many other analysis. But because the house is your disaster, this may signify that this house isn't the best most suitable house for you. You can counter check this with your ba zi element, ie if you are a weak wood, and this is a North facing house Water, then this house has an element that is favourable to you. Even if the North sector is disaster, this will not be that of a bad. However, if the North is disaster, and ba zi element for that North is also unfavourable, then you should totally avoid this house. As both analysis are telling you that it isn't suitable. O…

Dear Emily, It is best to understand some of these concepts: 1. What is a quantum leap in Feng Shui? Many good homes are simply (good homes). But homes that have a quantum leap are those that "suck" wealth from other homes or the environment. More? Please do a SEARCH for Quantum Leap in this forum or review some of the resources found under this site's "Can or cannot buy resources". Appreciate - don't ask me to explain from fresh what quantum leap is all about. 2. The above points to the clue that what makes or break a good home is the external environment such as an audit of the External environment, the site and the property itself. 3. Under Para 2, we should try…
