Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: Just wondering... It is said that I am Strong Water. I am a cartoonist, illustratorand a graphic novelist. Art is water too, yes? Does that mean I took the wrong career? If I only consider your career suitability, yes probably cartoonist, illustrator and graphic novelist will be considered weater element and so not suitable for you. However, there are many areas in your life (ie your house suitability/element, your career, the colours/element you wear, the people around you, your own luck period etc). Of which the house will have the greatest amount of luck. So if you want to have water career, then you need to make sure you have at least a W…

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: I am new to this website. Just curious whether are our destinies(study, career, marriage, etc...)set when we are born? Are we able to change or accept them as it is???? In general, under feng shui there is Heaven, Earth, Human luck. So under the heaven luck, it is often said that the kind of luck a person is supposed to have is generally pre-determined. However, since there are still two more factors Earthluck and Human luck, these two can still help to alter some of the given luck. For example, a good Earth luck can make an inauspicious 10-year luck better than it is predicted in the ba zi. Good Human luck ie having good relationship with yo…

Dear Cheryl, cheryl ludwig wrote: As I have been saying, I am getting ready to buy a house. I want to do the right thing when choosing a house. Here is a question: The house I am looking at right now is the correct gua number for me. My number is 8 and the house number is 1151, which equals 8. You helped me with how to do this in my previous question. My question is this: Is is more important to be in a house with the appropriate gua number or is it more important to have the house in one of the four good directions - if the two are different (i.e. -the gua is good, but the direction is not so good). With my gua as 8, the house number equalling 8, the direction is barely…

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: I am not bragging or boasting,I have a real problem. I am a person that many seem to be drawn to me for answers to questions, even when I am not part of something. I have been reading and studing Feng Shui for about 3 years. Mainly for my own home and office. I am careful not to give advise to others that ask what they should do. But it is getting progressively difficult. Are some people destin to be advisors for such things? I seem to attract people who are in need of major change in thier lifes. And they seem to be complelled to give me total detail of thier lifes without even asking for it..then of course they ask for advise on what to do. …

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: # My sister picked up a small statue of the lion (as in Singapore harbour). But should this actually be displayed in the house? Generally, any fierce animal tends to have very strong yang or sha Qi. If you really like the item as a beautify decorative items, do go ahead and place it wherever it makes the place nice and feel good. However, if you are planning to put it just because of feng shui. Then my advise is to keep it. Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: My front door is diagonal and the south west corner has a closet and stairs. Where is my wealth corner? Please help! See attachment. Thank you. In order to know where is your wealth sector in the house, you need to apply the flying star concept. Dear Robert Lee, Thank you for the advice. I also have studyed a few books and websites and togheter I came with a basic design. However there are a few questions I still have and then I think I can start. 1) do i need to use the compas for obtaining the north? some books refer to not use the compas but to look at the entrance of the house from the centre of the garden. The left is always east (dragon) and the right is west (metal). This makes also the back of the garden always north. What is best to be used? compas are face... 2) My terras is in square form, how can i get rid of de bad vibes? 3) water is placed agaist the terras, this is not a problem? Also i…

Just an update on what's happening... Hope nobody minds my sharing again. My dad now sleeps in the extra room which I fixed up especially for him. His insomnia is gone and he's more energetic now (he was dancing this morning and he even gave me a big loving hug which really surprised me). Before, he used to hold grudges, and all day long he'd always think of negative thoughts. He'd usually be depressed and would always seem so tired and would want to sleep, leaving work unfinished and unattended. Now he says he feels so light, and when I took a peek at him a while ago, he was actually working on the papers of the property he left unfinished for ages. As for me, this mo…

Question: May I know where is the best place to put all the items such as salt, oil, rice, huat kuay, pineapple etc after we brought them into the house and for how long we need to put it there? The idea of bringing in the items are symbolic. It implies stocking up essentials. Thus, anytime, after bringing them in; they can be properly organized and stored in their respective places. And to be used or consumed, anytime afterwards. Thus there is no hard or fast rule to where to place them; but definitely after bringing them into the kitchen, one day must keep or place them in their proper shelves.

Edited by Robert: Merged 2nd post into this post Dear Master Lee, Iwould like to know if a weak metal woman born in year of the Earth Horse is compatible with a weak woodman born in year of the Wood Rabbit ? Idon't know if it matters for compatibility, but the summary of each person's summary of elements are as follows : Weak Metal woman (Earth Horse): 1 Strongest Water, 1 Strong Wood, 7 Extremely Weak Fire, 2 Weakest Earth, 1 Weak Metal Weak Wood man (Wood Rabbit): 0 Extremely Weak Water, 1 Weakest Wood, 0 Weak Fire, 5 Strongest Earth, 2 Strong Metal P.S. Is there such a thing as a true incompatibility? Such that 2 people can never be compatible no matter what. T…

Dear Cheryl, In my opinion, there should not be an issue with the situation that you had described. From a Feng Shui point of view, this is not an issue. There are some concern by some people only if there is a upper floor e.g. bedroom just above the car-porch. In such a situation, someone said that in the event that a car caught fire, it would be dangerous to have the car below this bedroom. But to be honest, how often have we heard that stationary cars catch fire. Alternatively, smoke detectors or fire safety sensors could be used, here. Warmest Regards, Cecil cheryl ludwig wrote: I am going to purchase a house. One of the ones I've looked at has a carport attached …

Dear Simon, Simon Lau wrote: Comparing it with my house which my main door is facing NE, master bedroom W, child bedroom SW and kitchen NW, it seems like my house is in a very bad position. In general, the only way to correct a suitable house or suitable room is either to move a more suitable house or choose a better bedroom. Otherwise, there is very little you can do in terms to correcting a suitability issues. Firstly, you should confirm your facing of the house, as the main door falling under the NE sector may not necessary be the actual facing of your home. So determine whether your house falls under:- 1. Apartment (2nd - 7th level), facing of the house is determin…

Dear Master, Happy New Year. Recently I tried to activite my Romance Sector in my bedroom. I am Kua Number 3 (wood), weak yin water, but if according to eight house theory my romance sector is southeast. (I readsomewhere from internet). I use an ordinary compass to gauge the southeast sector in my bedroom, then I put 2 pink roses in a vase in that southeast area of my bedroom. The 2pink roses are fake but look like real. The color of my vase is light purple although I am advised to use green vase because Iam wood element. But till now, it doesn't seems to work. I am still single. There are also other method like rearing live goldfishes etc but I don't like …

Dear Anon, 1. Looking into past practises; it is popular for the Cantonese (dialect group of the Chinese) to place a wall mirror facing their dining table. The Cantonese felt that having a mirror in this postion would be "auspicious" as food on the dining table can be "doubled" with the mirror image. 2.For interior designers,a large mirror is often recommended as most of us are aware of to create an illusion of depth orseemingly make the home look larger. 3. To be honest, having a mirror behind the sofa is often, less than idealalthough it can still be done or still acceptable. However, for practical reasons, if thesofa-head-rest is too close to the mirror, often,w…

Hi! I am new to Feng Shui and I am experiencing a very bad time ever since I move to my new house. I lost my job, business, and even my first treasured diamond ring to a conman who was suppose to help me change my fate. I even paid money to an overseas astrolger who promised me to do some special sessions which could help but ended up as a fool. I saw a documentry on Feng Shui recently and started reviewing it over the Internet. Its so lengthy and I am not sure where I should begin. I guess the free ones may not be accurate and for the reding its quite expensive. Hope you could advice how I should approach it. Thank You Thomas

Dear Anon, For landed properties (with privacy) all round e.g. no tall buildings that can have a view or peer into the home thru the sky light, the use of sky light is acceptable! In ancient Chinese buildings, or homes may homes have an open court-yard akin to letting light into the home or close to the concept of the skylight. The only issue is to avoid placing a single tree in the middle of the home and have a skylight shining down. In the past, I had mentioned that this is similar to the word "KUN" in Chinese and very inasupicious. However, if there is no single lone tree, it is still acceptable. Nowadays, in Singapore, many terrace homes resort to adding transpare…
