Dear Su Fun, Please see below: Since you are a SW house person, NW is your Longevity sector. Overall, the Eight House Theory is more to look at how suitable e.g. the breadwinner is to the house. In this case, you are considered suitable to the house. Under the Eight House Theory, what is equally important is what is the intangible force for each of you in your bedroom. I am not sure why you want to change your main door. Other than the above, the Eight House cannot tell you much about the birth chart of the house. If you want to consider just the Eight House then it is `fine'. The other theory called the Flying Star is used to find out the birth chart of the hous…

Are you referring to the corner of the bookcase - at an angle (poison arrow) aimed at your bed? Usually, the corner of a bookshelf is made of wood; and the approximate poison arrow is around 2 feet distance. While a full concrete wall would exert a poison arrow of 1 metre distance. Often just move the bookshelf further away if possible.

1) I've been researching several fengshui sites but i dont see any info regardinghaving 2 toilet bowls, 2 shower heads and 2 wash basins inside the master toilet. Is this allowed or not? 2) If our master toilet is on our Longevity (husband)and Excellent (wife) direction, I know it is bad as it is like flushing away our longevity and excellence. Is there anyway to counter this? Is bottle gourd appropriate? 3) Is prosperity the same as wealth? because there's nowealth indicatedfrom the free analysis this website offers, just prosperity.

Dear John, Where best avoid purchasing a house with the lift well. This is not good especially it is so close to your main door. The thickness of the wall will also affect the influence. A brief look at the combination effects of the elements looks ok as the elements seems to contain the inauspicious effects. For a more detailed analysis, you can refer to the Flying Star module. If your have auspicious stars such as double 77, it is best if it is found in the main door otherwise the next best alternative is your bedroom or some place where you commonly use. H However, if it is not found in at the main door then, you will not be able take advantage of the add…

Dear Anon, Please see below:- In my opinion, it would be more appropriate for your office to be located at South-West (living room). Looks like North-West is the dining room so may not be appropriate or not as advisable. West is a possibility (2nd choice to SW). But in terms of these three alternatives, SW is still the best. Please e-mail privately to robert-lee@geomancy.net with your member's login account e.g. abc@def.com (password not necessary) so that we can credit you with a complimentary auspicious date report). Warmest Regards, Cecil Lee

Dear Mich, Honestly, to ways of looking at Feng Shui: Shapes and Forms and Compass School Feng Shui. Under Shapes and Forms Feng Shui, few people would place a shower under the stairs. Perhaps, a toilet next to it is quite common. However, some of your questions can be commented under Shapes and Forms. But, truly either you should seek expert help or if you know Compass School Feng Shui, best to do a Flying Star chart to analyse especially locations for the dining area, toilet and even kitchen area. Otherwise, to answer your questions is like picking up a dice and rolling it on the table. Whatever comes up is the answer! Not so reliable rite? Warmest Regards, Cecil

Hello! I recently read the book: Move your Stuff, Change your life, How to use Feng Shui to get love, money, respect, and happiness" by Karen Rauch Carter, and am excited to apply the principles that I learned in the book to my room. The problem I have is this: I have a large picture window on one wall, a closet on antoher wall that has a bathroom behind it, two small windows on another wall and that last wall is parallel to the door. I'm trying to find the best place to put my bed, tv, and computer. I also have a desk and three bookcases to put in the room too. I know the windows and the wall parallel to the door makes me putting the bed there to be a bad idea. Any…

Dear Sonia, 1. In my view, and to be honest, a house number containing a 4 is not necessarily unfavorable. 2. In Cantonese, the number 4 is associated with the word 'SAY' which means 'DIE'. 3. Therefore, a Cantonese individual who may also be superstitious might prefer not to have a house number with a 4 in it. 4. Personally, my current residence is #04-01 and my new house, which will be ready soon, also contains "45" (i.e. a 5 in it). 5. I still decided to purchase it because, overall, as you mentioned that you 'liked it'. In my case, I have assessed the home based on: - Shapes and Form, - Eight House - Flying Star to confirm that it 's…

Hi Miss Quiss, So long as it is not Death or Disaster under your Eight House Report and that you really like this house, then just make sure that the bedroom you stay in is in a good sector to help you offset the problems from the unsuitability. Since suitability of the house is the issue here, I am afraid there isn't much you can do even if other areas are good. Especially since you mentioned here that you cannot even find a bedroom which is good. This makes the house even more unsuitable. So my advice is best not to rush into getting this house, there are always other better one to come as you search longer. Hope this reaches you in time. Warmest Regards Rob…

Dear Elena, In the living room, it is ideal to activate water star than mountain star. Water star, as the name suggests implies clear space and thus, ideally, when one stands around the living room one should have a clear view of all areas of the room. Water star (clear space) is the opposite of mountain star. In addition, some people who are not aware, even may try to activate a mountain star at their front door! Here, it is like placing an `obstruction' at the front entrance. Usually, some portions of the living room has either windows or glass panels and large open area (which suits water star). One can still activate mountain star e.g. a painting in the living room e…

Dear Vikki Dufall, Vikki Dufall wrote: Is there anyway that we could counteract this so that someone will finally buy our house? I am sorry, but Feng Shui is not a miracle cure all for every problem. In this case, there isn't anything you can do that will make a house sell. Whether people buy a place all depends on the location of the home. So there is nothing you can do to just make it sell overnight. You should depend on your real estate agent to help you sell it, pricing it right, list out the benefits of the homeetc. In terms of what you can do to boost up the luck for a potential sell are:- 1. Improve you own luck. ie if you are a weak water person for example, th…

Or pricing it right or to keep the place clean. In terms of feng shui, you can try to improve some of your l…

Dear Kristen, Please see below:- 2. You can uitlize the 'former porch" as the sleeping area especially if it is a `proper' room even if it has lower ceiling. When I mentioned about a `proper' room, what I mean is that it should not be exposed to the elements or have a fragile ceiling. I believe this is not an issue here. 3. Next, the first consideration is where when we open say the bedroom door, can the bed be placed on the opposite wall and is this wall a full height wall. If para 3 is not the case, then, it should be placed (peferably) against a wall in relation to say the windows, attached bathroom ... Where possible, the windows do not cover an area of more …

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: 1) Iunderstand that I amastrong water element. How do I go about reducing this element and increasing other elements which I am weak at? In what ways? Should I avoid going forany other water related activities such as swimming? You should go by the Strong Water element characteristics. While Wood which exhaust your excess Water and Earth which destroy your Wood help to control you excess Water which makes you Strong. These element becomes your favourable element. Hello! Thanks for sucha quick response. Answering your questions, yes, there are some apartmentsoppositeour house, not identical to ours though, behind the other similar glass wall. I?m attaching images of the whole complex so you can have an idea of how it is,but you can?t see our specific unit. There?s also a floor plan of the 1st floor cause on the upper left corner you can see the distribution of the condo. Ours is the housemarked inblack. So we can?t remove the wall, and I was wondering what should I do in order to invite qi into our house, and avoid the bad influences and obstaclesby having this wall right opposite our door. Wind chimes? Water? Plants? Mirrors? How…

Hi Master, I'm a Kua 5 female and a breadwinner in my home. Attached is the intended furniture placement for my new place. I have been reading the general dos and don't for fengshui and I have a few concerns which I will like to seek your advice. If I stand at my main door and take the compass reading, the door is facing north. However, my valuation report actually shows the living room is facing north east. What should be the right way of looking at the direction? Main door or center of the living room? Due to the squarish layout, I have no place to put my dining table. The current layout is blocking the pathway between bedrooms …

Hello I am new to the forum and look forward to learning. I live in a house that is built into the side of a hill. The West and North sides are somewhat blocked energetically due to this, and the house receives limited sunlight. The main window is in the living room, it has one sliding glass door which is south facing. I have many houseplants as they improve the energy in the home, and I place them at the south facing window in the living room for the winter as this is the ONLY window which receives enough light to keep them alive. Unfortunately, having the plants in front of the window blocks the flow of energy in the room and in the house a…

Mr. Lee, The people on the west side of my house are constantly creating smoke. They are all chain smokers as well as instead of using their green waste bin they are burning nearly every day. They didn't start the outdoor rubbish burning until the eldest man in the house passed away. They are in violation of the local burning laws, but the fire department has chosen to do nothing about it. The smoke gets into my house even with doors and windows shut, it has caused some damage to my outdoor storage as well. I must run air filters and make use of my air-conditioning more than I would usually need to do, which is draining my finances. Their burn pile i…

Hi thank you for the great web site and the reports. However I don't know if I made a mistake when I originally filled out my info on the house I live in. It is a period 6 house but I am not sure if it became a period 7 house. When I moved in 2 years ago some renovations were made but I don't know if they were major enough to change the period of house. What was done: 1. Installed new carpeting throughout house except in kitchen and bath. 2. Extended kitchen wall 2 feet so the opening between living room and kitchen was a little smaller. 3. Made an opening in the hallway to get access to a bedroom closet without going into the bedroom 4. Knocked out 2 feet of wall t…

Dear Shelly, In my opinion, Feng Shui does not have all the answers to your situation. Perhaps, it is more a coincidence right now. (Under the Eight House Theory, it refers to the time spent at (that) specific location.) At this time, focus more on how best you can get through this situation and if need be, see if you can find support from your family members (especially your own parents / or next of kin). Or if there is a (possiblilty remote or otherwise) to recover from the situation. In my opinion, this is not the best time to find support from a Feng Shui perspective (thou) it may sound tempting... Try to find a listening ear.. for your problems / or to seek advise …

Dear Susan, In my opinion, based on what you have mentioned, it would be best in the long term to try to change home. The rationale is because, there are as you have mentioned, quite alot of problems relating to Shapes and Form and some compass school issues. For the short-term, since you are aware of some of the FS problems, you can try to see if can reduce or neutralise some of the effects. For example, you mentioned water behind the house. If the water is within your home and not a swimming pool; is it possible to drain the water. Or if the water is external to your home, are there sufficient plants to shield the house from it. For poison arrows or pointed objects in t…
