1. This reminds me of several encounters with Doctors (surgeons / GP or specialists). 2. Feng Shui is not an "exact" science and there are as many different practises as there are practitioners. 3. Many doctors (were used) to studying say the human body and many books e.g. Gray Anatomy etc.. detail the exact body structure, muscles, organs. And these are or have to be reproduced "exactly". 4. And several of these Doctors tried to "learn" Feng Shui. And, like yourself, found difficulty as such! Therefore, the consolation is that you are not alone!

Perhaps, both of you should sleep separately and in your own favourable directions. Otherwise, position the bed to the direction of the less favourable party's auspicious direction if the bedroom is located favourable to the opposite party. East System favourable direction is N,S,SE,E. West System favourable direction is NE,NW,SW,W. The location of your stove is also an important consideration. The position of your entrance door should not be neglected.

These are some considerations: You wrote: 1. if I can still activate both these stars with water and mountain feature, because star 7 is considered inauspicious now in Period 8 and I also have a base and annual star of 3(bad star) at the entrance area also, unless you meant that my house period 7 luck will continue into period 8 without any major renovation to change my house to Period 8. 1.1 In general, from 2004 to 2023, #7 and #7 x2s will continue to be a bad number: Theft and Robbery star. #7 = weak metal. 1.2 If there is an annual star = #3; this is considered as bad wood element. And under the Five elements concept: Water fuels wood. Thus, in theory, placing a w…

Instead of buying useless commercialproducts (sold) in the name of "Feng Shui"; such activites don't cost much but build long term relationships.... 1. More family bonding... bring them out for a simple outing... 2. Spent more time with family... 3. When you have the time.. talk more often with your family members... Lastly; When the buying stops, the selling can!

Dear Jazz, Jazz jazz wrote: with regars to checking own zi wei dou shu, would like to check how much difference it will make if time of birth is wrong, eg bet 1am and 1pm? In ba zi, time of birth may affect some of the character analysis and overall five element percentage. But in general, only a few hours really differ from having only the day of birth analysed. Unless element strength is different (ie weak water changed to strong water), there will no be too great a difference. Often, our advise is not sure, take an analysis without the hour of birth as the foundation analysis. In Zi Wei Dou Shu (Chinese Astrology/Horoscope), it is also quite similiar, the likelyhood…

Dear Anon, Please refer to (C) Geomancy.net's Flying Star report input template. Since your house is located at 160 degrees, then select 165 degrees since your house is considered as between the compass direction 157.5 degrees to 172.4 degrees. Your main door is located at the south. If one looks carefully at the attached template, one will find that each sector is based on 15 degrees each. For example North 1 is at 345 degrees, North 2 is at 0 degrees etc.. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Cindy, In this sample report, (see attachment ) In general, a geomancer will select a name based on the breakdown of one's ba zi element:- Your Five Element Breakdown 1 Weak Water 4 Strongest Wood 2 Strong Fire 1 Extremely Weak Earth 0 Weakest Metal 9% 62% 25% 3% 0% This tells me that you are a Weak Water because of too little Water (9%) and Metal (0%). Your element is born in a season which is makes Water Element Weak. Thus, influencing the element strength of the other five element elements. The percentage of each element is considered after considering the seasonal strength and the number of that element presen…

Dear Linda, Actually, you can use the many free calculators located at http://www.geomancy-online.com to generate the correct charts. As to the Chinese zodiac signs, because usually January or February or even as late as March, this is where the new year of the lunar calendar stars. For exampel in 1997:- 19 Feb 1996 to 6 Feb 1997 = fire rat and those born 7 Feb 1997 to 27 Jan 1998 = fire ox Reference: http://www.lovesigns.net/astrology/ayear/a90-2010.htm This can change the Ba zi element and strength for anyone born between 1 January 1997 to 6 February 1997 if they had wrongly being considered as a fire ox instead of a fire rat. Therefore, why not use the free ca…

Dear Sir, I notice some review on Tampines GreenView, but none on Tampines GreenVerge. Can you comment if Tampines GreenVerge has good or bad FengShui in general? How can one decide if a HDB BTO Project is good or not? I understand there is map of the site provided by HDB. But as you have mentioned in the forum, many factors affect the Feng Shui of a home. So, how can we tell the Feng Shui of a house that has not even exist? I passed by Tampines GreenVerge site recently and the whole place is empty other than a big drain between the Main Road and the site. Lastly, I have used the tools on Geomancy.net to determine that I am a We…

Dear David, David Sim wrote: Hi My master bedroom lies in my disaster line. Two toilets sit between my master bedroom and the centre point. Do the toilets negate the bad influence of the disaster line? Generally, your individual eight house (4 good or 4 bad) directions mainly helps to determine whether a house or bedroom sector or facing direction is favourable for you or not. So it helps you determine whether a sector is good for you to use or not. So if the bedroom falls in your disaster sector it means that that room isn't the most suitable room for you to make use. The most suitable house would be one that most of the good sectors of the room would fall in the suit…

Dear Janna, For individuals who may not possess strong mathematical skills, it is often possible to divide a layout plan into nine equal grids: If the toilet is situated in the central grid, this is regarded as a handicap. Nevertheless, when considering the main door, it is essential to observe its position in relation to the toilet at the front. The interaction between these two elements (the main door and the toilet) frequently influences the flow of qi, potentially introducing sha qi. Personally, as Robert and I evaluate as many as thirty layouts each day, it may be more efficient for us to rely on visual cues, as this method is quicker. Warmest R…

These are some considerations: 1. Please note that what I had written does NOT take into consideration: http://wiki.geomancy.net/wiki/Feng_Shui_Triage 2. No two home are the same. And common sense says that : "It depends!" 3. Frankly, there no such thing as an utopian home. Thus most homes must also look at:- http://wiki.geomancy.net/wiki/The_Concept_of_Maximizing_Marks 4. To better understand and make your own opinion on "the direction of the MAIN DOOR"; I suggest you go read the following information:- http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=6&mid=15673&new= http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=6&mid=15672&ne…

Dear Koslan, Please see below:- Yes, one should apply cures for any imbalances at the specific sectors. If one is applying the Eight House Theory, then apply it towards (especially) your bedroom i.e. is the bed at an auspicious sector? Or if it is a couple, one party could use another as a shield. For example, if the husband's sector is `death' while the wife is `irritation'; it would be better for the wife to sleep closer to this intangible force and the husband further away. In order to activate the mountain stars:- 1. It must not be activated i.e. at the front door or frontage of the house. For example, if a mountain star is found at the front door, do not ac…

Dear Anon, In my opinon, the best units are at #20 or #23. Units that are facing the highway such as #22, #30 etc... can be quite noisy and parts of their balcony/bedrooms is affected by the afternoon sun especially for higher floors. The unit that you are considering is OK especially for high floors since there is a very auspicious double 8 at the balcony area(facing direction). And in fact, what better scope is that there is aswimming pooljust outside of it. Furthermore, because the unit is South-Northdirection, most of the unit(s)will not be affected by the afternoon sun. Only the very high floo…

Dear Anon, 1. There should not be an issue here. Some Feng Shui practioners believe that electrical items such as washing machine or dryer that shakes should not be placed at an auspicious sector. If it is an inauspicious sector this is good. As the shaking will drive away, the auspiciousness. 2. With the various forms of Feng Shui available, Para 1 is of secondary importance. More importantly, if one fully understands the purpose and limitations of each Feng Shui theory or concepts, this will instead, put to good use. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Hello, I am about to purchase this semi-detached property but it has a rather non-typical layout (image below) with a tilted walkway which created a cut corner in the master bedroom. In terms of Feng Shui, is this good or bad? The living room has only 2 slim but high windows, I am thinking to hack the wall and create a large 2 panel doors opening to the yard to create some sort of flow, would it help?

Dear Carrie, 1. Ideally, a staircase ought to feature a turning or landing. If I am not mistaken, I observed a straight staircase in one of the layout plans shared in "Audit for Financial/Hardship Cases Only). 2. Should there be a landing on the staircase, some Feng Shui Masters recommend placing a mirror at the landing to deflect Qi upwards. This is optional and not mandatory. 3. Ideally, the stairs should not be positioned at the center of the house. If it is unavoidable, consider placing potted plants at ground level on each side of the stairway. If the stairs are attached to one wall, a plant can be positioned on one side. This is also not obligatory, a…

Dear Anon, 1. Usually, the advise is not to use too many crystal balls. This case was because, this person used trial and error Feng Shui and would place a cluster e.g. more than 5 or 6 crystal balls at a particular location. It happened that he placed the crystal ball at a location, nothing happened and he placed more at the particular location. Therefore, there is a difference between using one crystal ball and over indulgence using so many crystal balls. We have to clearly understand the distinction between the two. I am thus concerned if one `over indulge' or `over eats' in such a situation. 2. At another location, he bought a water fountain and pla…

These are some considerations: 1. Symbolism. 1.1. The rationale why LAUGHING buddhas are very popular is the "SMILE" on it's face. 1.2. The idea here is that when we see "someone smiling" it is suppose to makeus feel"happy". 1.3. Thus, it also indirectly may affect someone's psychology in some way: This is why many Chinese place the laughing buddha looking towards the entrance of the home. 2. Even for many Chinese, the laughing buddha should not be taken seriously. Therefore, it does not have any association with religion nor considered a religious artifact. 2.1. Therefore, even for many Chinese; they consider it close to a "decorative" item. 3. After understanding the ab…
