Dear Yoke Yeen, 1. Frankly, from a micro perspective of a condo (the site itself) there are always good units that have excellent / good or favourable qi. But other units may have less or unfavourable qi. This is often applicable to all developments - large or small. 2. From the fact that you have brought up the prison, plus many others have brought up this "issue", would suggest that there are more people who may just don't like the idea of living close to or facing or looking at the prision (since some units have such a view). 3. Under Para 2, these are not directly Feng Shui related, but rather affect our human component ie. our "feel good or feel bad factor". If ou…

Dear Leonie, For a Flying star chart, it is easier to draw a "pie-chart" rather than a 9 grid type of chart. This is easier to apply, also. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, When drawing a map or physically at the moment, it is not feasible to move the "qi of the centrepoint" since this is suppose to be the centre-of-gravity. Looks like you have to live with this wall. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Vincent, Frankly, I got so confused with your description. One moment you mentioned that your bedroom is in the West so that sector has star 5-1-2 (ie Mountain-Base/Time-Water). Later, you mentioned that you are sleeping pointing in the East direction which I presume you mean that your bedroom room though in the West sector of the house, but you are sleeping facing East. If so, why are you bring the Flying Star star East sector 1-6-6 (ie. Mountain-Base/Time-Water) information into consideration? Sleeping facing East direction does not mean that you have the 1-6-6 influence in the sector. Your bedroom sector since you mentioned is located in the West part of the …

Dear Anon, This depends really on how far apart are the two doors. If quite a distance still acceptable. If too close, the reason behind it is that conflicts will tend to arise. It sounds to me like it is a house on the opposite side of the road? Then not an issue. You could always have like some plants or fence that help to block the direct view of the door to door. But like mentioned, if it is a distance away not really an issue. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Dear Anon, The problem here is that Eight House analysis helps to tell you whether it is suitable or not. There is very little you can do to correct any issue about this kind of suitability issue. What I can say for this is that:- 1. As long as a house isn't Death or Disaster, then it isn't too bad. Else franly, the only way you can really expect to gain much better luck from such a situation is to in the long term move to a more suitable home to get a quantum leap in feng shui. 2. If your home like inyour case Spook or Irritation isn't really so bad. What you can do is ensure that you have another area which help to compensate for this problem. Remember thatassessin…

Dear Desmond, One must always realise that Feng Shui is not a miracle cure for all sorts of problems. Feng Shui main goal is to attempt to create a nice environment that everyone will feel comfortable in it. Once you feel comfortable with the environment thing should go much better for you. In terms of an Office Environment, there are a lot more factors which is beyond Feng Shui. Such as Boss and Employee relationship. There is no amount of Feng Shui that can change the attitude of a boss to an employee. This is more towards Human Luck or Human to Human relationship or even Employee to Employee relationship. I mean if you do your job well, and the boss still picks on …

Dear Cilla, Not having luck with you isn't really that bad. Except that it means that you will have to work extra harder in order to achieve any success as compared to another person with luck with him during the same period. However, ultimately, you still have to ensure that you have a good business model. As no amount of luck can help you if you do not have a good business model. Hope that helps. Dear David, Basically, you cannot just choose which period is better and take that analysis. The period is there for a purpose. You need to specify which period the house was built. And that will give you the analysis for the house number. What you need to remember here is that a house number is supposed to help you to see which unit is better. This is especially for units of the same layout plan but located on different levels. It does nothing more than this. The results of the analysis isn't very important as it is there only to show how good or bad the analysis is. Hope that helps. Dear Anon, Ideally, this is not good. But, I know of many new developments or a few developments that are already 4 to 5 years old with a toilet above the entrance e.g. Corporation Drive townhomes. But, fortunately, better Feng Shui was practised to redress any other leaks. In my opinion, a toilet above is not the best. But, it can be considered as one major leak. Therefore, if possible a home should not have more than 3 or more of such leaks else it may give riseto problems. Usually, also, it is best that the home "fits" the ba zi of the breadwinners. If so, thesewould lead to fewer leaks. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Hi Seco, Congratulations on your new home Yes, if all the changes are done for this period 7 house, it should change it to a period 8. To further make the change effective, you should hold like a house warming party to help make ensure that the house is changed to a period 8 house instead of retaining the period 7 influence. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee Geomancy.Net - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Hi Anon, Unfortunately, the better placement of a bed position can only be done if you have the options to. In your case, you do not have much of a choice. A bed facing the toilet door isn't really that bad. Most of the time most houses are so small now a days, that you get this almost all the time. As our home toilet is usually not as dirty as a public toilet, frankly this is a minor issue compared to other issues. So my advice is just keep to your current best position, and keep the toilet cover down and/or toilet door close when not in use. Hope that helps. I signed a contract to purchase a townhouse. There is a toilet upstairs right above the entry way. The house is being built right now. Is there a cure or remedy so that I won't get bad luck? Should I cancel the contract?

Dear Gerald, I am not sure whether are you working or studying. Normally for a bedroom or a studio apartment, it should be more Yin or `state of rest'. Therefore the type of environment would depend on what you are currently doing i.e this depends on whether you are studying (plus your study habits) i.e. in a dormitory or you are working and returning home to rest. Other than the above, check the lighting in the room. The type of light could affect the environment around you. If you are a student and often study in the room, it is good to have a small hifi or portable radio in your room. Music does create a `more yang environment'. Here the essence of a small studio apart…

Dear David, Thanks for the sketch. 1. For the lamp post, since it is at the edge or perimeter of your unit, it does not seem to be a threat. 2. For the cluster of thin trees, this is OK. 3. But for the single tree, it poses a threat. Fortunately, since it is only on one side, overlooking one glass panel, it is simple to “correct.” Most of us use curtains, and often the curtains can be drawn just enough to block the view of this lone tree. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, Havingred roof tilesis acceptable. As it is close to the orange or clay tiles we commonly see on a roof. When we have a red roof tiles, it does not really mean that the roof is totally considered as a fire house. This is because of other interactions e.g. the colour of the exterior walls. For example, if the colours of the exterior walls are white: Then under the destructive cycle of the Five elements concept, white = metal element. And here, fire is used to destroy fire. The end result is the production of "wealth." Thus,it is acceptable to have red roof with white exterior. In a second example, what happens if the exterior walls are cream or beige or yel…

Dear Master: In your book series, you mentioned that the main door can not face another main door. My main door exactly face my neighbour's main door, is it bad? How can I cure this? Besides, my home's site is higher than the neighbour's home site. Thanks a lot for your advice. Michelle

Dear Master Lee: Thank you very much for your previous response. Attached is another culdesac home with great mountain view in the back. This culdesac is a round one instead of the chinese knife shape. There are only two houses on the culdesac, the rest of the space is the park and green belt. Mine is the one on the left. It also has the front door (black rectangle) and driveway facing the culdesac. Is this a bad culdesac location? Thank you very much in advance for your advice. Very respectfully, Pam

Dear Pam, From your sketch: 1. The specific property is not located at the “worst” end of the cul-de-sac. 2. Picture a “knife”: its edge or blade cuts more strongly towards (especially) the property directly opposite the one mentioned in Point 1. 3. However, in a cul-de-sac, no matter where a home is, it is preferable that the main door does not face directly towards the cul-de-sac. Where possible, the main door is often placed at the side of the house or reached via a car park that leads into the home. For example, the main door might instead be on the “left side” of the home. This is to ensure that there is no “possibility” of any t…

Dear Weiqi, Shapes and Forms Feng Shui:- Yes, if possible, it is best to avoid having a water position at the centrepoint of the home - as this may affect one's finance. (Shapes and Forms consideration. Flying Star Feng Shui:- This is especially so for Period 8 homes or homes born, or had a major renovation done on or after 2004. Under Flying star Feng Shui, the base star at the centre-of-the-home is #8. And since this is an auspicious mountain star "earth" element: a water position, here will inevitably drown the auspicious #8 for the period. Warmest Regards, Cecil
