At the same time the guava tree is almost in front view of our main door although in an elevated position? 1. Under Shapes and Forms Feng Shui, there are two considerations, here:- 1.1. Yin and Yang concept Often, the living room is located at the frontage of the home. And good trimming or landscaping is good, here so that the frontage does not get cluttered. In Singapore, especially in the early 1970's many landed property homes often have a mango tree at e.g. the corner or the frontage of the home. Some have rambutan trees. What happen is th…

Dear Marie, Apologies for the delay in reply. Usually, I ponder over questions ... especially if I am unsure about how to reply. If you can have a sketch of the layout it would be of great help. This is because, I feel that the placement of the bed based on good interior shapes and form should outweigh that of placement to benefit the person. For example, where possible, the bed should be placed on the opposite wall of the bedroom door. In addition, it should not be placed on the same wall as the toilet area. After considering the above main considerations and some other factors, then, it would be " nice to have " the bed and how one sleeps, face the directions, you have…

Dear Michelle, 1. In shallow terms, Feng Shui does not have a direct effect on love and romance. 2. Feng Shui is a holistic method, to increase one's luck and it is usually, has an indirect relationship with love and romance. 3. This is why we do see that Feng Shui based on the Corner Concept where even famous authors in my opinion, give the wrong impression that one can simply enhance one's South West or Romance corner and wonderful things will happen. 4. If one's `Feng Shui' is favourable or good, it will enhance one's luck and with it, indirectly, romance, love and "wealth" would arise. Wealth need not necessary mean money but raising a family, have children etc... 5.…

Dear Anon, Please see below:- In my opinion, this has to do more with `beliefs' than Feng Shui. Perhaps, I need to side track abit:- Overall, the most popular `bird' is the mystical bird i.e. Phoenix. In Chinese culture, a wedding card will inevitably have a phoenix (representing) female and dragon (male) symbol representing this union of couples. The other more popular symbolic birds are: the egale, pheasant, swallow, crane and magpie. Now coming to `birds'. Sorry, if sound crude but the Mandarin worn for bird or `niao' is `penis'. (Once again, apologies - but this is true!) There was a time when Nissan cars came up with a model called " Blue Bird ". Here, many Chin…

Dear Jerine Hsu, Jerine Hsu wrote: Hi, I am new here. Just realised that my boyfriend and my chinese horoscope is not compatible.. he is a goat and I am a dog.. its said to be very bad... I am very sad as he is the one i am hoping to live my life with.. can you kindly advise me how to make it better? I will be very grateful.. thank you Yes, in terms of chinese horoscope, dog and goat aren't ideal combination. However, not to worry as it is not the end of the world. Chinese Horoscope generally considers year of birth so you are matching year of birth to year of birth to check compatibility. You should also check on the element from your ba zi and see what kind of eleme…

Dear Rochiel, 1. In my opinion, paying homage to a sector i.e. SW = Romance sector is too general to be applied to everyone in the world. 2. Can I confirm, how NW was derived as your Romance sector? 3. I believe, the size and types of crystals are really material objects and should merely serve as an interior decorative object. As there is no relation with the Five Elements Concept - which is the key to Traditional Feng Shui. 4. Then how are elements treated under the Five Elements Concept? 4.1 Under the Five elements concept, for example if we need to apply a `CURE'; we make sure that the cure can be EFFECTIVE. Here, this is where for example: 6 coins can be used to neut…

Dear Anon, 1. Feng Shui is purely about our `Earth Luck'. 2. What you are practising is not Feng Shui. Such things has the highest rate of failure. 3.The clue here is that it is too general to be of use to most of us. 4. For example, taken to the extreme: the question asked is : 4.1 Are you sure that you had placed enough? 4.2 How are you so sure that your other suitor of your friend, had place even more than you. 5. Frankly, if we look or reason out, such material things; don't equate to or can give us proper results. 6. In general, such things can be said to play with `our minds'. 7. Often, when it does not yield results: this is where, we should seriously say: let's …

Dear Christina, Usually, Feng Shui specialises in the `omens' of the earth. And less of use in Love and Marriage. Unless one believes in sector Feng Shui and hope to have a good relationship i.e. by beautifying or enhancing say the South West sector (Romance). This is to me a flawed concept. You could either use Chinese astrology or Pillars of Destiny to help improve/understand your relationship. Overall there are two `modules' and it depends on your level of use of it:- 1. A basic way of understanding one's characteristics say under one's horoscope. Here, the nature of love is one of the great mysteries of life. One way you can improve your relationship and love life by…

It would not be ideal for the drain water to flow from west to east or remain stagnant. ans: partially, enough for 4 people to walk in together into the restaurant, the rest is open, along the road i.e just infront of the main door it is covered. 2. Currently what is the distance between the drain and the main entrance? ans: around 4-5 feet 3. Is the drain parallel to the front entrance? ans: yes it is 4. Are there now plants outside the main entrance. If so, how many plants and how large are they? Are they planted or in pots. ans: There are 4 big potted plants sorry for inconvenience thank you madi

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: I have generated my own free profile and it was sad to see that Luck is Against me from the age of 14 to 74. That's pretty much my whole life. Does that mean that whatever I do that's a big risk, I won't be successful? Will I always just live paycheck to paycheck? I'm an extrememly ambitious person, and I'm always striving for success. It would be great if you can give me some more information about it. Thank you! The 10-year luck only really tell you whether are you considered more of a very forunate person (ie a person born with silver spoon), or a less forunate person (ie. most average person that has to work very hard to make a living). 1. In the Chinese metaphyics, there are three kinds of luck:- 1.1 Heaven Luck or born with (analysed thru Ba zi) 1.2 Earth Luck or Feng Shui of a home or office 1.3 Human or Man Luck. (Relationships with family members etc..) 2. Here, 'Luck is against you' refers to one's person Heaven luck is not so lucky. Thus, in the specific 10 year luck period, one is not born with a "silver spoon" nor have the "silver spoon" luck during that 10 year period. 3. Thus, there are those who may not have good Heaven Luck, but have good family bonding, relationship support may even trascend even if one may not have that good earth luck. Dear Vijay, So far, based on my personal observations, this is not a major issue. In Singapore, like anywhere else in the world, many landed properties (site) are either: 1. On the same level to the road 2. Higher than the road 3. Lower than the road Based on my personal experience, I often see many homes similar to your description ie. (para 2 type) do not encounter financial loss. Nor affect the health of the owners. But rather, more importantly, the concern is that of open drains that e.g. flow behind the house or at the side. Often, rather, if the house has a large opening e.g. sliding glass doors at the frontage with main entrance doors, there is a possibility that c…

I am going into a new luck pillar as of my birthday this year. This pillar is an animal that is a 'friend', and the element is auspicious. This is also my output element. However, in my BAZI, birth-chart, I do not have any of this element. none, not even hidden. What does this mean for the likelihood of favorable luck during this 10 years coming in this luck pillar pls? would it still benefit me to change my name, to bring in a name that is like the element? if I need to ask this in a different place or pay for a different membership, pls. let me know that, as this answer is important …

Dear Michael, michael ang wrote: is there any way or any book teaches to calculate which year, which month, which day and which hour is e most luckiest time in our life? Usually most books, I come across only teaches you how to read the chart etc. Usually they will not tell you how you can find which day is the best just by calculation. You need to deduce it from the 10-yearly, 5-yearly, yearly, 6-monthly, monthly, daily and hourly relationship to assess it. Usually, a good ba zi reading should be able to give you this information. Dear Anon, 1. In my opinion, `lucky bamboo' is a marketing ploy. And the usual marketing ploy here is perhaps to ask a person to place it at the `East' side. Or the Wood area. 2. These my following reasons why using `lucky bamboo' may not be effective:- 2.1 Although East or South East is in my opinion, belonging to the Wood element, there is fundamentally no reason to use it there unless it can enhance the element at that sector. Under the Five elements concept, Wood (lucky bamboo) enhancing Wood has less of an effect. Assuming that Wood direction East is favourable, then water would be a better element. As water -> wood leads to a harmonious Five element concept. Howe…

Dear Fred, Usually, it is best to leave it to fate for a baby to be born. In cessarian birth, where the date and time can be predicited, this is still possible. Currently, it is possible to generate a pillars for each date (time would have to be predeterimined each day or left out) but, personally, I do not have the time to generate and analyse on this. Perhaps, we may consider doing this at a later date. Our main concern is currently helping quite alot of people with `problems.' Hope u understand our situation. Warmest Regards, Cecil
