Dear Cecil or Robert: I'm house hunting. The period-7 house I saw today has the front door located in the SW1sector which is my best direction according to the house hunting report (moutain 7, water 7, base 4). It has two levels. 1) The center of the house on the main floor has clear space. But right below it on the lower level is the utility room (where the hot water tank, furnace etc... are located). Is this good or bad? 2) Right below the front door is the bathroom (on the lower level). I know the bathroom above the front door is bad, but what about below the front door? Is that bad also? 3) The master bedroom is in the East sector which is my death direction accor…

I've been reading a book on Feng Shui, and it has me interested in changing my whole room up, problem is, i can't afford to buy ANYTHING for my room on my budget, that and i don't want to add anything, i just want all the things i have. also with the restrictions of the place i live, i can't really change anything , the worst is i can't paint anything, so the room has to stay wood (ick) everything i own is wood, and i have so much stuff it's cluttered. do you think it would be bad if i put my bed in the closet? that is the only place where it won't be in the way of everything else....

I'm confuse of the compass reading and need 'master' advise (please see the layout plan as attached). Thank you in advance. Regards Sophia

1. Yes, it is just an expression. 2. Fu Lu Shou is not meant to be “prayed to”. Symbolically, it should be placed facing wherever people usually sit. So, if you often sit in the living room, ideally it should be facing you. It is also very common to place it on a table that faces the dining table. 3. It is best to place it in the living room. If you put it in the dining area instead, the table it sits on should preferably be around 49 inches to not more than 50 inches tall (this comes from the auspicious measurements on the Feng Shui ruler). If the table holding Fu Lu Shou is too low, it’s like, when we eat, these deities are “salivating” over our food... 4…

Dear Cecil, The NW sector of my house layout is partially missing. Whatever is left are where the toilet bowls are. How badly is this going to affect me as my kua no. is 7? My wife's kua no. is 4. What can I do to remedy this? The North sector is where part of my fridge and (hidden) washing machine are and part toilet where the sinks and shower areas are. I understand that this sector will affect our career and income. What can we do here to improve our career and income luck? Then, there is a very puzzling doubt. We had placed a square indoor pond in the SE sector, left side of main door (South) since we moved in. Not only did it not bring us wealth, we were almostsu…

Dear Alice, No, the colours does not matter nor the background. What is more important are; 1. The number of fishes. Often, it is 8 or 9 fishes. 2. What is most important is to look at the fishes. They should look graceful, not exactly plump but has a nice profile; (I hope you get what I mean) i.e. they should not look thin or skinny or undernourished. They should seem to swim and look "nice". Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Dinesh, What you had mentioned seems OK. Often for screens, it is important that it is placed parallel to your door as opposed to placing it 90 degrees "cutting into it". Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, 1. Please refer to the attached illustration. 2. Often a house at-the-end of the road literally means just this. 3. Under the above illustration, you can see House 1 and House 2. Both houses are said to be at-the-end of the road or in this case, it can also be called a house at-a-T-junction. 4. Other senarios may include houses at a cul-de-sac and some of these houses can also be considred as at-the-end of the road. 5. Under the above illustration, one can notice that both House 1 and House 2 although are at-the-end of the road, they are "hidden" from view of the main gate. And often a car can simply drive directly into the house "car-park". If you lo…

Dear Les Paul, In a home, these are some guidelines: 1. Under Shapes and Forms Feng Shui, where possible, a water position is often or may / could / most likely can be placed in an open space area such as e.g. outside the frontage or in the living room area. 2. Under Flying star Feng Shui, try to check where is the water star #8 , in addition to Para 1 to see if a water position can be placed, there. For example, if the water star WS#8 is in the bedroom, then, one should not place a water feature, there. 3. While #8 is the current prosperity, one should take extra care not to drown locations such as MS #9 with water. Since #9 is considered in this age (Period 8) as th…

Dear Kenneth, 1. Frankly, hopefully the abacus is not too large! Else imagine usually we have a desk-top PC and other work items on our work-table. 2. And such things may take up too much of the real-estate on our desktop. 3. Furthermore, it is much more difficult or not feasible to sub-divide a "tiny" area such as a worktable into eight sectors. 4. But, if you must insist, usually, the Sheng Qi (chi) sector is one's Prosperity or Excellent sector. 5. A more reasonable approach but even so, may not be achievable is to sit facing one's prosperity and/or excellent sector. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Hoa, Yes, what I mentioned is that "depends on where the house sits." Thus, if one look at the above statement carefully, it refers to "where the house sits" rather than "where the plot of land is". Perhaps, if you can incorporate an outline of the house, it's drive-way path up to the home and the house profile with the main door. And also, what type of fence/ concrete or any additional high low walls. Therefore, it is often again "where the house sits" rather than the actual plot of land on the cul-de-sac - takes on a major consideration. Thus, unfortunately, what you had provided has too little inform to make any further comments. Warmest Regards, Cecil

There is a rectangular beam within my little cubicle in the office, the edge is pointing diagonally at my back. I've tried to position myself differently but don't really havemuch room to manouvre due to the restrictive space. Is there anything I can do to counter this posion arrow?Does facinga favourable direction help in any way against the poison arrow?

Dear Cecil.. I understand that there are many similar questions and probably that is why you ignored this request. Let me try and rephrase my question so that you know that I am not getting answers from other Qs etc. 1. As mentioned the T Jn faces the balcony and not the main door. Is it still a threat? 2. What all solutions exist for solving.. like earthern lamps; bagua mirror; planters/plants... will lighting two cormers of balcony with Electric lamps also solve? 3. The house in fact feels like it is in a chairman;s seat since the road ahead (The Road hitting my house) is lined by houses on both side NO POSITIVE EFFECT?? 4. Since there are houses on both sides th…

Dear George, No, it is meant for high-rise buildings - where it was felt that qi is different at different levels. Therefore this theory can besaid as "a vertical Flying star theory". While the regular Flying star takes into account "horizontal Flying star analysis. Warmest Regards Cecil

DearCecil, Thanks so much for the prompt reply. Your opinion has been very reassuring. You are right, i supposed for most of us, we tend to look for 'concurrence' even if deep down we already have some 'innate guidelines'. And its great to know that everything is a blessing depending on how we interpret & take it! Thanks for your confidence; I 'll try to 'overcome' any seeming incompatibilities and strive to see the positive in day-to-day occurences. Wishing you the best of happiness, health & wealth! Take care & cheers! Chloe

Hello I am starting a new business and just rented a office space facing NW2. It is a period 6 building but the unit has been vacant for more than 1 year. I would like to know if I should use period 8 for the natal chart. The front door would be inNW with a ws 8 and the back of the office would be ms 8 in SE. Am I right to say this would be an ideal office? Are there anything I should look out for or should do to enhance the wealth creation of this business? Thank you very much for your help.

Dear Anon, 1. In the past, a butcher is a butcher, a merchant is a merchant. And job analysis is pretty easy to define. 2. For example in the past, a Chinese book-keeper involving in the counting of money e.g. metal coins can be considered under the profession of an accounting career. Thus, since, he or she is involved in money (coins) then, his/her career is associated with metal. 3. Nowadays, many of us are involved in multi-skilling i.e. we may not necessarily do one job but have various job-skills. 4. In general, we can classify the industry that you are in (Finance) as in the Metal element. But, a planner be it a finance planner or other planners is involved in "…
