Dear Anon, Happy New Year to you! Please see below:- This common denominator can be related in many of the concepts - in particular i.e. ' Flying Star Feng Shui and Pillars of Destiny. There are many Feng Shui practitioners and in my opinion, I feel that some of these practitioners may not `live' up to the standard. Thus, the end result is that many people become disillushioned with it. In addition, I personally feel that many people are also to be blamed. The rationale is unfortunately " greed ". I can understand money is important but, when we depart our hard-earned money to buy or enhance a sector, this can become worrisome. Or to buy e.g. a three-legged toad. For…

Dear Spring, I am not sure what u mean when you mentioned that the `Site said' this was a bad home address. This is because, if you are referring to the House Number Free Flying Star report at www.geomancy-online.com it mentions that the report is used to look at the vertical houses i.e. apartments/flats. The House Number Free Flying Star report cannot be used to look at landed properties. The Flying Star Theory can only look at horizontal levels. While Flying Star House Numbers for Apartments is used to look at it vertically as it is said that no house has the same FS on different levels. Appreciate, if you can check again. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Angie, 1. For the front door (main entrance); if a lamp post looks like `slicing' thru it, then this is a `sha qi' or poison arrow. 2. One can apply the `triangle effect' by placing two plants on both sides of the main entrance. By doing so, symbolically the two plants with the lamp post forms a `triangle'. With the point (lamp post) pointed towards the neighbour's home. 3. Another option is to place a semi-cicular rug outside the main entrance (radiating outwards). Preferably the carpet should be red. As red represents the fire element and will help destroy or neutralise a METAL lamp post. Please note that if the lamp post is made of a wooden post (WOOD) element the…

This layout plan is typical of some of the layout plan(s) found especially at the HDB Fernvale @ Sengkang (constructed 2 to 3 years ago). 1. Usually to hide the washing machine / drier many use the L shaped sink / stove . Some built a low "partition" at the kitchen side to block the view to the kitchen. 2. The greatest "concern" would be the main door - kitchen "door". 3. The toilet at the "centre" is the least of the problem. 4. More importantly, the most crucial is hopefully your apartment has favourable Flying star "numbers" - superimposed on the layout plan.

Dear Karen, Generally, what you mentioned is acceptable. The main thing is that so long as there is no direct path between the bedroom and the exterior or Qi comes and exit out, this is fine. Warmest Regards, Cecil

1. Generally, the plot of land is still acceptable under Shapes & Forms Feng Shui especially since the sides of the plot is parallel with each other. 2. Of course other plots especially to the left two plots are broader. However seems acceptable. This reminds me of Vietnamese homes where homes were taxed based on the frontage. Thus Vietnamese homes became one long narrow home. Of course this plot should be much larger then them. 3. Based on 20 Year Period 8, the plot you are looking at should be North West facing and should take advantage of the facing stars otherwise other stars are not so good.

Dear Anon, The best remedy is based on the concept i.e. if one cannot see it is no longer a `threat'. If possible, a screen should be placed between the stairs and main door. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, I believe you are missing the point. Even if a wind chime CAN be used in Feng Shui does not give it an `outright' stamp of approval to be used at one's whims and fancy. The other option is for a person, who is not aware of Feng Shui, liked it and install it. This is based on one's feeling and perhaps six sense. Frankly, this is the last that I will entertain such questions. If you feel that the world perhaps revolves around such objects, please go to other forums that will see the world of commerical products. Warmest Regards, Cecil P.S. There are sufficient resources to highlight the dangers of using wind chime(s) via SEARCH feature in this forum.

Dear Jace, To be honest, some Chinese who in one way or another if told of their favourable and unfavourable colours would tend to dwell in being more cautious when choosing a vehicle colour. Personally, I do share the same sentiments. And have always tried to choose a car colour that suits me. However, I hope you understand this is honestly more of a "personal-thing" and how much we personally either being "influenced" by it. For weak metal persons, based on the Five elements concept, yes, black = water may not be as suitable as a "metal" element colour or "earth" colours. On a scientific level, (Not Feng Shui); previously, there were some insurance studies that show…

Dear Daniel, 1. The concept: "If one cannot see it, it no longer becomes a threat." applies here. 2. What you basically need to do is to protect your `windows' and the `back door'. What you need to do, is to; if you have a window or back door, stand inside the house facing outwards. If the poison arrow cuts thru or can be seen pointed into the house, this is where the house `becomes' vulnerable. Should there be poison arrows aimed at a window, you can resort to use a thicker curtain or close the windows. For the backdoor, close it when not in use. This is how, we should `protect' our house. Those areas that allow poison arrows to `fly' in. The same should be done to chec…

Dear Ken, Please see below:- The main purpose of Feng Shui is to deflect beneificial qi (or air movement) to allow it to meander and circulate within the house. Often a Shapes and Form practitioner will `mentally' look at this flow. And it would be good that such qi or air can slower meander within or circulate within the confines of corners especially in the living dining (since most houses have both `connected' together). It is an advantage that qi can (especially) if a partition added, help to `move' qi thru the centre flux towards other rooms (for a rectangular layout) and vice versa. The best solution therefore is: 1. To use a screen or partition which should pre…

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: Pls advise on which birthdate should we use for all kinds of feng shui calculator ( eg. four pillar, kua, bazi, etc ) - the solar ( as in the birth certificate) or chinese lunar date? The online calculators on our website requires the use of your western/gregorian/solar date and time of birth (as defined in your birth certificate). It will then do the necessary conversion to the chinese lunar calendar for any specific analysis. That is why you will see a western and lunar calendar information at the beginning of the report for you to counter check to ensure that the information are correct. Hope that helps. Dear Tay Jin, tay jin wrote: Can u educate me on this scenario whereby the main door is facing a posion arrow highlighted in red? In such a case, the only two possibility is to either have some plants at the corner of the room. Or to put some kind of partition at the door so that it will block the corner from cutting out to the door. See my attached graphic for an example.

Hi Theresa, As long as it is not east or northwest, you should not worry too much. Plus, flying star's effect is still not as strong as the basic one. You just need to always keep a glass of water in your room. It can reduce the sharpness of the areas. Hope it helps. Siusiu http://www.siusiufengshui.com/

Dear Sophia, 1. To be honest, there are many "holes" in your questions. Or there are really limited information to providea good answer. 2a. This is because, in real life, when we provide professional advise, we have to analyse a home based not only only Shapes and Forms of the home, even where the drainage exits from a home. 2b. To other factors, like what Flying Star Period and even the direction of your home. Thus to give you a simple example, if one is staying in a Period 7, Flying Star; North-West home; the current water wealth star #8 is at the centrepoint of the home. And usually such a home has already "SMALL LUCK". 3. Even if one's Eight House prosperity se…

The first picture looks orange colour. If it is ORANGE colour; then I must qualify; for the Chinese, we consider orange colour as = gold. As mentioned many past forum messages; Hokkiens = Orange = Kim or Gold; Cantonese = Orange = Kum which is also refers to gold. And during the 15th days of Chinese New Year, exchanging a pair of oranges = gold. Frankly, I don't know what other races or religion consider orange = if they ever consider it in this way. Thus politically speaking I am Chinese so if you ask me; I second the above!

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: So I thought of hanging a Convex mirror at theroom window but there is no space above the windowto hang the mirror. Could I still place the mirror at top of the window. So far I didn't see an attached drawing. However, there should be no issue hanging the mirror at the top of the window instead of the above the window. As long as precaution are made to prevent the mirror from dropping down. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research
