Dear Sheri, Sheri Temple wrote: I have a new apartment and am trying to post it here. I think it would probably be better if you seek a professional consultation to help you with the best layout. I really don't know what to advise you here unless a full consultation is done to assess your home. Or if you have a specific problem you want us to help you correct. Only then can any suggestion on how is the flying star luck of the house, how is your suitability, what colours or what is the best placement can be advise. Wa…

Dear Chan, Is it possible to attach a simple sketch preferably: 1. The layout plan (it can be a rough one) 2. A sketch of the `bigger' picture i.e. the plot of land in relation to the location of the fire station; roads, neigbhouring houses etc.. In my opinion, it is best to understand the above, properly before I can comment further. (For Para 2, if not a sketch, perhaps can elaborate more about): How high is the property you intend to purchase, where is the ^ `pointed' roof shape `pointed to'. How high is the fire station. What is the distance between it and your house (is there any road between) and whether are there plants / trees in the house compound? If there is a…

Dear Rose, *Joke* Perhaps, why there is not much resource in a dentist's waiting room is a real human issue. As all Feng Shui practitioners are (human - flesh and blood); I can say for myself, I dread going to a dentist myself! Erh.. can I excuse myself from this topic:( Jokes aside, Feng Shui can be applied in a dental clinic. I will try to recollect some of the important points for you: 1. Clinic Logo You can mention that often, the investor (often the dentist himself) sets up his/her own practise. For the purpose of this message, when I refer to his / him (I am refering to him or her) else I may inadvertently anger ladies listening in!. A dentist may consult a geomance…

Dear Grace, Anonymous wrote: I have my waterstar8 in the NE sector of my home according to flyingstarchart. However I am doubtful inactivating it as it says in San He water method-Not to place water in northeast ,this being period8.Your advice One cannot just blinding activate a star without considering other factors such as the other stars in the sector or whether it is an appropriate asector or not. For example, if NE is not a living room or clear space, then you will not benefit from activating the water sar. Or if the other stars in the sector will in activate other bad stars, then it may not be beneficial to activate the sector. Though, in a house one might have …

Dear Anon, Firstly, a warm welcome! The common saying goes " Rome was not built in a day". Nowadays with easy access to the website, you try to begin exploring authentic Traditional Feng Shui. How to start? The Chinese Luck system is based on "the holy trinity" of luck. And one can classify most of the systems in general under:- 1. Heaven Luck - what one is suppose to be born with 2. EarthLuck - The Feng Shui of one's home &/or office 3. Human or Man Luck - self, relationship with others One useful start is to read the various articles in this forum classified under one of the three categories to better understand the three different luck systems. Other useful…

These are some considerations:- 1. Never save on getting proper expert advise. 2. Usually, you should start from the exterior e.g. imagine how rain falls on the property and how it drains OUT of the home. This can affect the wealth and/or power authority or even range from loss to misfortune if not done properly. Anonymous wrote: Is itok to put the stairs or the toilet/shower areain the north sector? The north sector has flying stars 5 and 2. I asked this because I was informedNOT to putstairs nor toilet inthe north sector. 3. You must have got some advice ".. I was informed.." If it is your Geomancer, then please clarify with them. 3.1. Hopefully your Geomancer does…

Dear Help, I believe what you had printed out is based on the Eight House Theory. Since you are building a new house, if you can get Professional Feng Shui help instead. This is because, if you are new to Feng Shui, there are lots of considerations. For example, 1. Shapes and Form It is not only about your house but the surrounding environment i.e. the landscape and especially the site. Consideration include any water positions at the front, side or back of the house, the other landmarks or buidings nearby. 2. The Flying Star of the House This consideration is equally as important as finding a suitable house that match the breadwinner. There are many more considerations…

1. Usually, changing the angle of the front door is only "temporary". This is because, the entire building "frontage" is fixed. And often, tilting the door may not bring significant results. As ultimately the "frontage" or actual facing direction of the home remains the same. 2. If Flying Star Feng Shui has been applied, usually a Feng Shui practitioner will try to advise on ways to "disarm" especially "loss of wealth stars" such as #5 (misfortune, sickness) and #3 (Lawsuits, quarrels, conflicts, scandals). 3. If there are further opportunities, one may consider placing a water position in the home to tap good wealth or activate a mountain position. SANDHAYA M. wrote: …

Imagine, if this is true:- 1. All Geomancers will be "shaking their legs" while waiting for the beginning of lunar new year! 2. In fact, some people were told to have their premises reviewed "Yearly"! This will be sweet news to the ears of every Geomancer! 2.1 Thus imagine, if a geomancer has 500 new clients every year! And if 50 percent of the 500 new clients asked for their home to be reviewed yearly or even ever 3 years! If we accumulate this 500 to every year of geomancer's service, he will be rich beyond the wildest dream! 3. Thus have anyone heard that a Geomancer only works in the beginning of the year and like bears hibernate the rest of the period? Yes / No?…

Dear Shauuna, The alternative to "such a complicated" situation is to look to the basics of Chinese principles or concepts:. Most of the time, when we start reading books on Chinese principles and concepts, we will always find:- Uppermost level: Taichi Upper (branch) level : Yin and Yang concept Lower (branch) level: The Five elements concept. What you are trying to "meddle" or "fine tuning" is under the Five elements concept. In a "very complicated" case or sometimes we humans make it so..so ...so complicated... that doing something will impact on the other. Such as... "but I'm afraid that will boost the 9 giving fuel to the 5." There are two possibilities:- 1. Wh…

Dear Alison, In the Eight Associations / Life Aspirations, although the West signifies children, this concept is in my opinion is secondary in Feng Shui as it is very generalised. If she still wants to place something there, find something that she really likes. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anita, It is good to `properly' examine the `missing corner': 1. Normally, it is not considered a `missing corner' if the area of the missing corner is not greater than 33.3 percent of the entire sector. A sector implies cutting the entire house into 9 equal squares. Within each of the squares, please examine if the missing corner exceeds 33.3 percent. If not, it is quite safe. 2. For a landed property: You can outside of the house, `draw' an outline of the missing corner. For example, using landscaping such as a grass outline or use plants to `create' this border. Normally, at the corner of this sector, many FS practitioners would advise having a lamp to light out t…

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: So, in calculating birth element and determining favorable elements, should the birth location (Singapore in my case) be also taken into consideration? Five element should be considered under these two scenario:- 1. as a Weak Metal, it means that you generally lack Earth and Metal, thus you are weak. Water and Fire are generally unfavourable for you because they make you weaker. While Wood is your wealth but as a weak metal you are not effectively able to control it. Thus, wood is also not very favourable for you unless you have more Earth and Metal to make you strong. This is always the basic level of application of the five element. 2. A…

Sorry to hear about your situation. 1. It is best that you feedback to your existing local geomancer. And ask the person for further advice as it is not like posting a few lines of text and then "worse-still" expect a miracle to happen. 2. Even if you have been reading resources; it does not mean that it can be "wholesale" applied towards your situation: The saying goes: "a little knowledge is dangerous".

Dear Anon, If one has a recurrent medical problem, it would be advisable to do a Flying Star analysis, to find out further if one is really sleeping under a sickness or misfortune sector. If there is a sickness sector, usually the appropriate cure, should reduce the problem or eliminate it. This is because, the Eight House, cannot tell you about it even it happens to be one of your good sectors under this theory. As for a magnetic pad, it would depend on the nature of the magnetic properties (intensity) and the claims made by the producer of it. If the `claim' is that it can cure arthritis but after sometime, you still have this problem, or instead, giving other problems…

Dear Jack, In my opinion, it is advisable to check the `new' birth chart of a house to find out if it is better or ... worse off in changing the `direction' of the door. Usually, the birth chart based on Flying Star of the existing door direction is looked at (compared to) in relation with the new door direction. Here, one looks at all sectors and check the significance of each sector by looking at: 1. The 81 combinations i.e. comparing the Mountain # with the Water # and the resulting interpretation. 2. The `cures' required. If the original chart needs few `cures' at various sectors. But the new birth chart has lots of `cures'. In such a situation, the former chart is `…

Dear Evamarie, 1. Usually, there is not much cure (if any) for such a ceiling. 2. If the ceiling is not sloping but curved or semi-circular (rounded), this is still acceptable). 3. For the bed, a poster bed where one hangs e.g. a `canopy' or lace or cloth above it is one method of neutralising it. Otherwise, there is really not much can be done. The higher the ceiling, the better it is. Or the effects are considered lesser. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Aj, 1. For a dining room table, it should not be placed against a solid wall. 2. This is because, placing such a table would not be good for social interaction of the family members. 3. In the Gua (Kua concept), one can see an arrangement of the various family member's position at the dining table i.e. father, mother, eldest son, youngest son, middle son, eldest daugther, youngest daughter and middle daughter. 4. For the couch it should also be arranged to allow for social interaction. The usual shape is to form a `circle/rectangle' around say the coffee table. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Mark, Frankly, it is best to look at all the stars at one go. Rather than looking at it separately. 3 - Strong Wood,5 -Strong Earth, 6 - Strong Metal Looking at the bad stars, 5 Strong Earth is exhausted by both Strong Metal and Strong Wood. So the star 5 impact in that sector is not an issue. Strong Wood is also controled by Strong Metal. So also neutralised. So even if you do not do anything most of the stars are almost neutralised. However, this is no harm in adding some Metal cures to further strengthen the sector. A little Water and Fire will also not do much harm as it will then create a full five element harmony (Wood -
