Dear Nghe Kwang, You may like to consider applying flying star feng shui to check on these two locations. As mentioned, in previous messages, your "Cai Wei" or wealth position can either be the activation of either a mountain or water star in particularly for period 8 star 8. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

Hi Anon, 1. If there is no favourable view, then simple thing like a day curtain or blinds will help to screen it. And as the saying goes if you cannot see it, it is not a threat. 2. Alternatively, check your eight house to see if you can sit facing in particular your prosperity or excellent sector which may not necessary be this current table placement. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

Dear Sualeha, You should instead check whether (truely or not) if really under period 8 (flying star) whether there is/are #8 or double 8 at this sector. If it is not, how did you come about that this is the prosperity? If this prosperity is based on eight house, then you can look at other schools to improve your situation. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

Dear Rory, It is good to find out more about the 3 Step approach. 1. Please try to do a SEARCH for " three-step " to understand more about what Eight House Concept can or cannot do. Clue: It is better to use other theory then just Eight House on such an analysis. Especially on analysis on this areas. 2. Eight House has more to do with how suitable a house is to breadwinner, suitable facing direction as well as if you are spending time at a specific sector. Otherwise, if you do not spend time in the sector then it is not so much of an concern. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

Dear Joan, 1. Usually, flooring of this nature has more to do with the ideal of "Health" and "Relationship" or whatever. 2. Often, parquet with or without it being considered good or bad, is much favoured then hard cool floor tile. This is because, wood is a very poor conductor. And the ideal here is that for those who sleep on the floor (floor mat), or if one just wake up and step on the floor tile it is not cold as compared to ceramic floor tile. 3. Therefore, for the Chinese, the parquet flooring is preferred in a bedroom condition. *joke* Hopefullly, the home is never near termite infested area else it is pure enjoyment for the termites. 4. For relationship, there ar…

Dear Joan, 1. This is a common sense feng shui approach to feng shui. Image this, for example if someone it not familiar with the home, or if you lack concentration, or if there is a black out etc. Normally, that place where you come up and down the passage way should be a clear space to avoid getting knock when you through it. This is especially if you have children or someone falling down from the stair case. So in such cases you will hit the table. 2. Just make sure that at least there is sufficient light around that area or the sufficient space to walk. That is about all you can do. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

Dear Joan, Here basically keeping the toilet door will reduce any influence. But again this isn't a very major issue to be too worried with. Please check one more recent posting on similiar topic, not sure if it was by you. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

Dear Maria, Typically, the most undesirable situation occurs when the toilet door is positioned such that it is nearly visible from the dining table. If it merely serves as an entryway to the toilet, the situation is not as severe. However, the best course of action is to keep the toilet door closed, particularly if the toilet bowl is directly visible from the dining table. This is generally the sole solution for such circumstances, as there is not much else that can be done. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

Dear Julie, 1. Usually, if you are able to hire a competent practitioner you may be able to tilt the door to one of your favourable directions. This is killing two birds with one stone ie. from inauspicious sector to a good facing direction favourable to the person's ba zi. 2. Alternatively, on this same issue, there could be a possibility you can use another door that is more suited. 3. But, this is not the worst case scenario, where it is at the death or disaster sector. 4. In addition, you might like to see if you improve other areas using shapes and forms and compass school feng shui to improve your luck further. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

Dear Gary, Glad you enjoy our website http://www.geomancy.net/wbimages/smiles/icon_razz.gif 1. Under the water classic, when water can be seen flowing gently towards the house/office is generally auspicious. 2. If if water can be seen from the house/office flowing outwards, then it is no good. Then it is that it is a covered drain which can hide it. 3. If water flows out from the back it is also not good. This is all under the water classic concepts. 4. It depends. Your description is not clear so unable to comment here as I am unable to really visualise what you are describing. 5. This again depends. There are so many factors:- a. like how big or deep is th…

Dear James, 1. Always in situation where you cannot alter or change your eath luck, then you have to follow the holy trinity concept, where you try to increase as much of your other Heaven or Human Luck as opposed to your Earth Luck. 2. This means that you can at least ensure that you are always having your favourable elements as defined in the ba zi and try to improve your heaven luck. 3. Or at least improve your Human Luck, where you need to keep a positive work attitue, good work ethics, being confident etc. So as to make sure that you remain a valuable asset to your company. 4. For example, where we compare life with that of Nelson Mandela who was imprison for so many…

Dear Mabel, 1. For sleeping position, it is best that your head points to the good direction and feet to the opposite direction. ie if your good sleeping position is North, then ideally your Head should be North and Feet should be South. 2. For work or study is different. You should be sitting where you point to the North and back facing the South if your auspicious work/study direction is North. Hope that helps. http://www.geomancy.net/wbimages/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif Warmest Regards Robert Lee Thanks Mabel

Dear Kris, 1. If you do know how to use the flying star report, you could generate the report for your house and see if there are any inauspicious (in particular star 5 or star 2 or combination of 5 with 9). Especially, in location where he frequently spends time at. On the feng shui point of view this is usually the issues causing it. 2. However, more often in rented place, issues like dirty aircon or dust mites especially if it is fully carpeted house are common issues. 3. From a non feng shui point of view. You may seriously look at investing in like air cleaner cum ionizer and/or the use of HEPA vaccum cleaners. Alternatively, if there are blinds or curtains in the ho…

Dear Joan, 1. Actually, there isn't anything too major to be overly concerned with. But definately, keeping the door and toilet bowl close is good enough solution for this. 2. Does your house have a final door before it goes to the yard or common area. Usually if this door will be considered the final extend of your house area. If not, then it is not really considered part of the house area. 3. Under the water classic, it is auspicious to see water flowing in the home. For the back, you must make sure that anywhere from your backyard you should not see any open drain to back house. 4. If you do not see it then it is not a problem. If you do, then if possible …

Dear Connie, Glad that you enjoyed our website. 1. Unfortunately, the bad news here is that Tai Sui this year is at South-South-West, which is where you are planning your renovation works. This isn't very good as in 2004 you should avoid having any major renovation works done in this sector to avoid offending the grand duke. 2. Probably only thing you can do here if any is do a small prayer towards that direction to apologise disturbing the tai sui. To reduce any impact. Otherwise, very little you can do as it is always best not to offend the grand duke whenever possible. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

Dear Sybil, 1. In your case where the re-roofing and extended kitchen is likely to change the house from a period 6 to period 7 house. Especially if the re-roofing involves completely taking out the roof, insulation and ceiling. This will definately change it to a period 7 house. 3. In feng shui for example, if the stove faces the water position or basin, one can place a mirror on the basin side directly reflecting the stove hob to reflect the fire back to the stove. 4. Since you are not using this sector as a study room, then there is very little you can do here. I mean unless it is a study room then this education/career sector will have good influence otherwise…

Dear Apollo, There are many issues that you will need to check before you can determine what's wrong. Just basing on the animal sign will not be able to tell you anything. ie a. Whether it is your heaven luck entering a bad year b. The house you shift in maybe not suitable c. Or simply have bad house feng shui which adversely impact you, etc. You should make use of the numerous free tools on the website to help determine where is the cause of the problems or leaks. Only when you know what is causing it will it be easy to fix. 2. However, based on what you have provided, since you say after moving to UK, I do presume you actually have a change in house etc. So this is mos…

Dear Anon, 1. Before actually answering your question, I think you first need to know about the difference between the 20-year, yearly and monthly. a. 20-year Base Star - Gives you the permanent influence of that sector depending on when your house was built. b. Yearly Star - Gives you the influence of the Yearly star changes which only impacts that particular year. c. Monthly Star - Gives you the influence of the Monthly star changes which impacts that month. Once you understand this, you will then know that priority is to always fix up the 20-year base star as this impacts the long term. The Yearly only shift some luck slightly for the better or worst. Usually to make i…

Dear Anooja, 1. For star 5 for a period 7 / 8 house in the center isn't a main issue. This is because usually the center is not where most bedroom or any important rooms are located. 2. Usually for center of the house, it should be kept empty as far as possible this is usually where all the different influence will meet at together so not wise to have too much of any elements. 3. A more major issue where some homes are affected with the presence of Star 9 and Star 5 are present at the same sector. This is because Fire will fuel the Earth Star. So this is not a major issue to worry about. http://www.geomancy.net/wbimages/smiles/icon_neutral.gif Hope that helps. Warmest R…

Zi Wei plots "stars" from a persons date and time of birth, and uses the position and strength of these stars to determine the fortune of a person. Ba Zi is similiar, but uses eight Chinese characters from the date and time of birth. Both are used to determine a person's "Heaven Luck". What they were born with. In this regard, they are both the same. As to which is more accurate. I personally believe it is down to what you want to know. Some questions Ba Zi, or Zi Wei can handle. Some other questions, Zi Wei does a lot better than Ba Zi, and vice versa. And in some cases, neither is of really much help. So accuracy is (IMO) dependant on the competency of the person readin…

Hi, The Eight House concept is based on year of birth, and the gua direction each have an element, so this concept that your gua is Earth is based on that. Whereas ba zi takes into consideration the day, month, year and time of birth. So this is significantly more accurate. The same can also be said for taking the year of birth of the ba zi element rather than the more accurate day of birth element based on the day itself. ie a year can be say Wood year, so by default a very simple analysis is Wood element, but even in the year there is a Water-Wood person, Earth-Wood person etc. That is why the ba zi true element is always taken as the most accurate form of an element as…
