Dear Cecil, there are 2 brothershttp://forum.geomancy.net/wbimages/smiles/icon_question.gif Question, kua 5 (2male) and kua 4 male moving into a town house with 3 stories, build in period 7 facing S1 (159 degree), with the main door in SE. The house had been vacant for at least 2 years and this month we been doing all interior painting and the fence before we'll move in. So the questions are: 1. Is the house going to become a period 8 house? If not what is going to be the strength of the double 7 red star in the facing palace? Suggesting any cure? 2. Bedrooms being in the back part of the house NW-N for kua 2 and N-NE for the kua 4 and both being artists (hip-hop, song wr…

Dear Kay, Often there are many ways at looking whether a number is auspicious or not. ie. For most 4 - Cantonese sound is Die so most people avoid it. But if you look at the Iris - 4 leave clover is a lucky symbol. ie. Alterntaively, you can also add up the numbers to be a single number to see if it matches your gua/kua number ie 6779 = 6 + 7 + 7 + 9 = 29 = 2 + 9 = 11 = 1 + 1 = 2. So there can be 101 different ways at looking at a number. What is good for one may not be good for another. However, what you should also remember is that ultimately, what makes a house/plot of landgood or not is ultimately, the feng shui of your environment as well as the house that you p…

Dear Karen, Studies such as those done by NASA, has shown that having a plant indoors can be beneifical to a home. Recently, I had posted a link in this forum to a Honeywell Site - which also has some resources on having a plant indoors - and that some plants are more effective than others in `cleansing' the air in a home. In my opinion, I personally think that there are two reasons why some people do not like having a money plant indoors i.e. home or office:- Reason 1: Some of us just use a glass plant container, add rocks, to `secure' the roots of the money plant. And simply pour water to this container. As many of us know, this is an easy option, as we do not need to …

Dear Anon, 1. Feng Shui (earth luck) and other Chinese divinity methods such as Pillars of destiny (Heaven luck) are often looked at in a holistic way. 2. Frankly, there are no quick solutions to understanding your problems. 3. What FS and other Chinese divinity methods are used is to boost one's luck or if it is Pillars of Destiny (to understand one's Heaven map and improve/change some of it). 4. Furthermore, with unemployment either due to structural unemployment or competitiveness (some prefer to employ younger employees)... there are so many other related situations that may have to be looked at. 5. True Feng Shui can only help to improve one's luck. But there are lim…

Hi, You can use the triangular effect that Cecil talks about. Place two pots of plants on both sides of your main door.

Dear David, Please see below:- Ideally, more importance is placed on the placement of the stove. The placement of the oven takes second priority. If the kitchen is at the South compass direction, it can still be considered facing `out' of the house i.e. towards the entrance. Can you confirm whether you meant the oven or the stove in the above. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, One of the basic questions involving the bed room has to do with the level or balance of yin / yang. Here, Yin relates to rest. While Yang relates activity. Therefore, " Yin " is favoured instead of Yang especially in a bedroom. Where rest should be more important. However, especially for the growing i.e. children or students, especially if they are studying, should have a mix of yin and yang in the bedroom especially if this location allows them for work and later for rest. A water fountain depending on its size, may create a MORE Yang condition and with an aquarium. There is no hard and fast rule to say that one should not use such items in the bedroom other …

Dear Bee Cheng, Most of the time, majority of `cures' required has to do with the use of metal element especially to cure bad earth i.e. #2 and #5 and bad wood e.g. #3 & #4. Thus, it is less of an issue with regards to finding a location for a metal safe. If one wants to go into further detail, Flying Star would provide better `fine-tuning' but otherwise, I personally feel, try to place it in a room especially at one corner. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Mary, Mary Marx wrote: Hello everyone, I have a question I would like to know the difference between a fountain that has 6 rungs..(tiers on the fountain) and one that has 7. Many Blessings, Very Happy Mary What the entire fountain really symbolise depends on how it was designed to look. I can only say from the 6 rungs and 7 rungs is that the numner 6 (Strong Metal) and 7(weak Metal). Metal + Water is a good combination of element. Especially if thefountainis made ofearth (stone like), may result in overall 3 element harmony. ie Earth material, 6/7 Rung (M…

1. Frankly, there are so many unknowns; on such a simple question. 2. For example; in order for wealth leak; it starts from even simple things as : Location, location and location. 3. Even if the toilet at the center-point is considered a leak; often in order to have things like wealth leak(s); usually a home would most likely have at least THREE major leaks. 4. We all know that if we live in an apartment, there is no (like the British say "no bloody" way) thatwe move the toilet/ it's plumbing etc... 5. Thus for practical reasons, try to find other "wealth leaks" especially major ones and fix them. Then one will have a higher success rate. 6. But a real pity is that…

Dear Joy, Method 1 ======== For 1967 (female):- [1.] 67 - 4 = 63 [2.] 63 / 9 = 7 remainder 0 [3.] Gua is the remainder 0 (which is treated as Gua 9) I believe you took the value 7 which is not the gua number. It should be the remainder 0. Since the gua is 0, it should be treated as Gua 9 instead. You can use the method 2 to in the Applied Feng Shui course to verify this. It also gives you 9 instead of 7. Method 2 ======== For 1967 (female): [1.] 6 + 7 = 13 = 1 + 3 = 4 [2.] 4 + 5 = 9 [3.] Gua is 9 You can use the Method 2 which is an easier method. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

Dear Kaushal, In my opinion, other than if the house has good Feng Shui qualities and if the buyer is aware of FS, one can use it as a selling tool. Otherwise, I read with `amusement' some `cures' suggested include tie a ribbon etc... Many factors include the selling price, market conditions and equally ... luck. Regards, Cecil

Dear Cheui May, Every period can have a Double e.g. 1s; 2s; 3s; 4s; 5s and the rest of the periods. This depends on one of the compass directions in 15 degree increments. These periods are considered good if they fall under the same period e.g. double 5s are considered good in Period 5. Perhaps, it is because you have not encountered a compass direction that has the right combinations of double 5s. Warmest Regards, Cecil On 11/26/00 11:35:00 PM, Cheui May Heui /wrote:

Dear Gordon, If space is a constraint, there is really not much that can be done. Some Feng Shui practitioners may recommend placing a windchime to `neutralise' the pointed edge. However, one should also take note that windchimes may not be favourable. You can do a search in this forum for more information of the `effects' of wind chimes (if wrongly) placed. Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: What if the main door is not located either North or NorthEast, but exactly North by Northeast, right down the middle of the two directions? Frankly, such a house that falls in the exact degree between two directions are often not auspicious because, it is like neither here or neither there. Dear Cheui May 1. The table must lean against a wall or a partition for support. 2. It should not be by itself, e.g. in the middle of the room. It should rest on or `supported' one side by a wall. 3. Where possible, the back of the table should also preferably be a solid wall. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Chloe, In my opinion, so far, to me, burying of three crystals a foot apart is something new. Some `authentic' Feng Shui practitioners had instead request to bury: the `Eight Treasures' of the buddha. Frankly, there is relatively no harm in burying crystals or coins with square holes in them. I believe, you have a garden. If so, a better alternative is to create a profile e.g. landscaping at the garden. Such that from a `helicopter view' one can see the profile or outline `neutralising' the missing corner. And at the corner of the missing corner, one can also consider installing a lamp. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Rich, In my view, it is generally advisable to refrain from applying the concepts of the Eight Aspirations or Life associations, such as SW equating to the romance sector, etc. Moreover, if the toilet happens to obstruct our romantic endeavors, it signifies a definitive end; we are indeed in a precarious situation! Let us consider an alternative viewpoint. Frequently, the toilet transcends the mere notion of the "THRONE" or the WC, which I refer to as the equivalent of the toilet bowl. In reality, numerous master bathrooms not only feature showers but some even include jacuzzis and bathtubs! Envision this! I firmly believe that in this world,…
