Hi Theresa, Yes, that is correct. If you haven't yet move-in to the house, never bring in old furnitures. New furnitures that are delivered in before the move-in is ok. The moment you bring in old furnitures, that will symbolise that you have move in the house. Thus, move in your old furnitures only after you have selected your auspicious date to move in officially. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Hi Cindy, Firstly, the yearly or annual stars only effect the sector for the current year. Once the year is over the influence will be gone or changed. So I won't be too concern over this star 9 given that it isn't a potentially star to worry about (unlike star 2 or 5). The water feature is good because it will create a five element flow:- 7 - Metal, Fountain - Water, Star 3 Wood. Which makes Metal - Metal - Hello. My eating area has 7 MS, 7 WS & 3 Period Star with the 9 annual. I have a tabletop fountain here but upon analyzing this area, I assumed the 9 fire burns the 3 wood, at the same time the 7 metal also neutralizes the 3 wood. Is the water …

Hi Anon, As for the kitchen, the base star is star 6, so the appearance of the star 5 means that an inauspicious star enters into that sector for the year. However, given that there is a Strong Metal influence, this star 5 has less impact on this sector. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Dear Bridget, The two concepts are different:- 1. Flying star is about the luck of the house, where is the wealth stars, where are the inauspicious stars of the house. This analysis tells you whethera sector is good or not or how much luck you can get from the home itself. 2. Eight House on the other hand is about the suitability of the sector, or best direction. A good sector of the home based on the flying star does not mean it will be suitable to you or not. ie say the bedroom has excellent flying star luck, but if the bedroom sector falls in the North and your Eight House tells you this is Death/Disaster sector. No matter how good the stars of the North sector of t…

Hi, Basically, for the Eight House, any of the 4 directions are suitable for that person. It does not mean that a West house person must stay in the West house only or a East house person must stay in the East house. The purpose of 4 good and 4 bad directions is to give you a flexibility to choose a home suitable to the breadwinner. Given that a house has to suite the breadwinner first as he is considered the head of the house earning most to sustain the entire family. So as long as the house falls within any of the 4 good direction (ie Excellent, Prosperity, Health or Longevity) it is considered an auspicious home for that period. One note here. West facing homes unfo…

Hi Anon, It is hard to advise you what is best to do. But if you ask me, if you don't feel comfortable in an environment, then how are you going to perform your best? At least, this is what can tell from your description so far. It does not seem like you are comfortable at all, ie stress or tense up and worried. All these factors are not going to help you in anyway. If you really do not feel confortable in your environment, maybe you should consider looking for alternative employment (while you continue your work at your current location). Whatever your decision, I think you should first find someway to relax yourself. Only when you are relaxed can you work better, and …

Hi Kelvin, Frankly, the luck of a home comes from the Environment. And since the environment is hard to correct. This I must say is ultimately most important. If your surrounding environment is average, then no matter how much you enhance your own four walls (ie flying star) it will only remain average kind of luck. So you are only looking at one aspect of the flying star analysis. Sum of 10 or any other flying star features are only good if they are in the right location where the house can benefit from it. Not having it but having a house with more sectors auspicious in the right location can be better than having a sum of 10 which only say appears at the storeroom se…

Hi Kelvin, Generally, even without looking at feng shui, you can easily tell which area in Singapore are better by looking at where most of the landed properties or high value properties are located. These are often the prime areas in Singapore. Every house or apartment is unique at every location, it isn't right for us to make any form of comments unless a full analysis is done to check on the luck of the house itself. I no matter which location there will be some good and bad units. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Hi, Before any advise can be given, you must know what are the likely causes for the problems you face:- 1. Health - Though ba zi can help give some idea about whether there will be health issues or not. You should seek professional medical help if you do have issues as they will be better able to help you on this area. 2. Marriage - Again though ba zi again can give some idea on compatibility with two persons. Ultimately, in order for a relationship to work will very much depends on the two persons how willing are both person interested in making the relationship work. Usually, when a person is faced with a series of problems, therecan be several issues that may go w…

Hi Julia, Actually, the only reason why people say TV isn't good for bedroom is because TV screen looks reflective. As such it is always related to like having a mirror effect. So the idea behind this is because it is said that when we sleep, our spirit leaves our body. Then when it sees a reflection of itself it will get shock. So that is why it is considered inauspicious. However, what if you are a person who, sees a mirror, comb your hair to make yourself look nice before leaving. So this is all a matter of tolerance. Some people like to look at themselves in a mirror, others don't. But it does not mean that it is at all bad but a matter of tolerance. Frankly, we ar…

Hi Angie, Anonymous wrote: Can I place a Fish Tank infront of the house main door? And it is theside of the fish tank facingthe main door. I believe that there is definately no issue in how you place your fish tank as long as the corners of the fish tankdoes not create a poison arrow or sha qi against other key areas in your home. As to whether it is auspicious to place it at your main door area of the home, then you will need to check with like the flying star analysis of your home to see if the stars present are suitable for having a fish tank. Such as if there is a water star 8, then yes most probably it will be an auspicious wealth sector. However, if it is a auspic…

Dear Chia Doreen, Chia Doreen wrote: Recently I bought a resale flat and its master bedroom has a custom made dressing table with big mirror. I cannot remove this mirror. It's about 45 degrees facingfrom the side of the headboard (above headboard are windows). Since you cannot remove the mirror, then there is very little options that can be suggested even if the mirror is inauspicious. However, based on your diagram. I think it should still be ok. At least it is not located where there is a window directly opposite the mirror which would be worst. The other good thing I can see is at least by having the custom-made dressing table at a 45 degree angle, it at least does…

This is practical for it makes it easy to maintain and well as create a very nice garden environment for the balcony area which is extremely pleasing to look when you look from the living room area. Dear Ann, Ann H. Huynh wrote: I understand that when looking for a piece of land to build a house on, the frontage of the lot needs to be narrower than the back/rear. Is there any truth to this? Basically, the one to be most concern is to have a frontage or opening which is larger than the back/rear. This is because it is like you have a head that is too large for your body. Imagine if you have a head larger than your body, it will be a burden to your body in terms of being able to balance yourself properly when walking. Thus, it is more ideal if you have a frontage that is narrower than the back. Of course, each plot of land is unqiue so you have to see each plot to b…

Dear Anon, It is of course nice to have everything perfect. However, in reality, this isn't always possible. There will bound to be some imperfections in pre designed homesunless you are rich enough to construct your own perfect home. Don`t think too much about all those stars! They are not too dangerous as we used to think. The worst of them is 5 so it is the only star we should think of. It is in NW of each house this year and we know what to do with this. What about your plants... You can place them anywhere you like but in the bedroom.Justtake a good care of your plants. If they are good looking and healthy it is good Fengh Shui. A bedroom is the only place where it doesn't have to be any plants.

Hi Anon, Anonymous wrote: If you have small creekback of your house or source of water feature in front of your house.Does itmakes any difference which way water flow isgood orbad? Yes, the flow of any water feature is important. This is why there is the shapes and form concept about Water Courses. See this link for some details:- URL: http://www.geomancy.net/resources/theories/fs-wcourse.htm For example, even if you put an external water feature, it is good if the flow of the water is flowing into the house rather than outside of the house. Water flow out of the house means your wealth leaking out, while a water flow into the house means wealth flowing into the house.…

And I have been feeling uncomfortable since the plant was placed outside my room. Is there a way to counter this and make me feel better working in that room? As you are only an employee in the office, it is difficult for you to put or suggest removal of the plant. So probably only thing you can do is attempt to add Metal to balance the plant. Hi Anon, Anonymous wrote: I came across one of your articles which seemed to say that it is not quite good to have a bedroom above the kitchen. The most simple and practical way to solve this threat is to install smoke detectors. This will at least alert you in case of such a situation. These two are two more practical ways rather…
