Dear Hock Chuan, ong hock chuan wrote: I am a bit confuse between Birth Element and Kua Element because my Kua Element is wood while my Birth element is water. Kua element or Eight House analysis is based only on YEAR of birth. While ba zi element or Ba Zi (4 Pillars/Pillars of Destiny), calculates from the day, month, year and time of birth (if available). Eight House is typtically useful for it's suitability check, as even though it is simple it has proven time and again to provide a good suitability check assessment. However, we normally do not use the Kua element as the true birth element as only the YEAR of birth was considered. True birth element is usually assse…

Dear Olivia, Anonymous wrote: What are your thoughts on monthly stars vs yearly stars, etc? The reason I ask is because another website states that for example, in the month of November, if you have a front door or office in the West sector,we should place a dragon or a metal wealth pot to enhance wealth/fame/recognition. Whereas, the #8 star is actuallyin the South sector this year. Can you explain this train of thought? I would questionhere onthe practical application of applying feng shuion a Monthly or even worstDaily application. Do most people really have the time and effort towant to apply monthly or even daily flying star changes? Most people will at most practic…

Dear Sophie, sophie corcoran wrote: cecil u have mentioned a 10 day cycle for the different birth elements. Yes, every day has different Heavenly Stem and Earthly Branch combination (ie 60 different unique combinations from the 10 Heavenly Stem and 12 Earthly Branch). So since the Heavenly Stem changes in cycle, it will cycle through the 10 different Heavenly Stem. That is why Cecil mentioned that there is 10-day cycle. sophie corcoran wrote: what is today 22nd nov 2005? As wood produce fire, will it be too strong the fire is especially 2006 is year of fire. How to overcome this. Frankly, it is not really correct for you to relate the number of earth element present in someone else chart, to add that to your own chart. It does not work that way. The number of elements in individual person chart, is used to asses whether he is weak or strong person of a particular element. ie if he is a wood…

Dear Carlo, Anonymous wrote: Hi, I'm confused about the best sleeping position. In the free reports, thebest sleep position looksdifferent from the best work or study position. So, for sleeping I have to have the best direction for me behind my head when laying down on my bed? It looks like you have to face in the opposite direction. Is this correct? For the other positions (work, study), itlooks like you have to have your head facing towards your best direction. Is this also correct? Yes, sleeping position is where say East is Longevity, your head should point to East and your feed point opposite in the West. This is because you are sleeping so your head should be pointe…

Dear Olivia, Olivia Kim wrote: Would you be kind enough to help me with the following? Myfavorable directions are East, SE and N. I need a garageand the only garage available right now is a garage facing East as I am drivingINTO the garage. By the way, does this mean it is WEST facing? Also, the Garage number is 4. In the U.S. it sounds similar to the chinese pronounciation, is this correct? Generally, a garage isn't really part of a house. So it can be built separately or added on, but the entry or direction of the garage will not replace the facing of the house. So it really does not matter if it is not possible to enter into the garage from a good direction. Back to …

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: Could not find any discussion on traveling in different directions and how that effects us. Specifically traveling to country or a city which is in direction of ones death direction. Generally, most people do use this travelling information in this way. I mean to get from one place to another by car or plan, there can only be a certain direction you can travel. So if you follow it strictly like South is Death, that means you completely avoid South. But what if South is the only way to get to your destination? So this is not practical and that is why you do not see anyone following this strictly by the book. Furthermore, for the Eight House di…

Dear Norman, Norman Leonor wrote: I have a mirror 4feet by 4 1/2 feet standing infront my stairs upstairs.. Does this mirror have any effect on us and for the good chi or bad chi? Generally, it is not a good idea to have a mirror just at the stairs, simply because it can be a shock for people to see themselves when theyreach the top. Especially for those who are not aware that it is there. Furthermore, mirror if placed in bad sector, can sometimes bounce/create twice the bad luck. Hope that helps. Dear Ng Chiew Kiat, I believe you are trying to ask whether you can just enter the date of birth of the club in the ba zi report, am I right? Well, not really. The ba zi is for pesonal luck, you cannot use it in the same way for the establishment of a business or club. Though, it was a really good way of looking at it. But it will not work that way. You can only assess the feng shui but not the luck of the business/club/establishment. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Generally, the reason why toilet next to the main door is the more major concern are two factors:- 1. The toilet bowl is where largest amount of waste and water leaks out of the house. 2. The toilet is also dirty and tends to have bad smell. So logically, if it is near your main door, even when guest enter into the house they will have to pass by the toilet, which isn't really that nice smell nor good. So imagine Qi enter into the house, the first thing is it is dirtied by…

Is it from the main entrance to the apartment or the main door to my unit or from my balcony ? As you are staying on the 14th floor, this falls under apartment (8th level and up). Thus, your facing direction is taken from your living room/balcony facing. So stand inside your home at your balcony or living room and take a reading looking outwards. That willl be your facing direction of the house. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research
