Dear Choon Leng, 1. This is not Feng Shui. 2. Under numerology or the science of it; there are many varied interpretations. 3. And it is very diffcult to say for sure which numbers are considered `auspicious'. 4. Given the fact that many years back, in Singapore, I do remember telephone numbers with 4 or 5 digits. Nowadays, HP numbers are 8 digits etc... 5. In modern times, with today's HP, we do not really need to remember a family member or friend's telephone/hp number. For example, anyone sending us an SMS or call us, we can simply `copy' this information into our HP's address book. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Jen, Thank you for the detailed information. Based on your information, it looks like a geniune: non-issue. So long as your main door and windows are not `threated'. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Master Lee I have located the centre of my flat and using compass bearings, divided it into the respective pie sectors. But when I convert this into the 9-sector grid, the bottom sectors - NE, N and NW - are smaller than the rest. I have attached the floor plan. What have I done wrong? Regards --- Julie

I'm new in feng shui. Both husband & I are Eastern type & our baby is Western type. As we will be moving into a rented apartment in Tokyo soon, I'm desperate to know if there are any remedies and improvements(though paintings & modifications are impossible for rented place) to be done for the following condition: 1)Apartment is situated close to the lift(elevator). Infact, the floor layout shows that the wall of the bathroom are just next to the elevator. 2)The Main door of the apartment is at the extreme left when one faces the door. In other words, the facing & main door both at architectural though door is in different sector(according to the Flying Star…

Dear Emily, 1. If you have a sketch, feel free to upload to the forum for confirmation. 2. Often, this is not a major issue since most (former 3-room flats) have their toilets at the `back' of the house) - Usually one attached to the master and the second toilet sharing the same wall and close-by. 3. 4 sets of such toilets does not necessary mean that it is inauspicious. 4. Often, the benefit of the older HDB flats are that it is mostly rectangular - a good shapes and form. As well as the exterior of he building is a `stable' earth element shape. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Alan, 1. In my opinon, this edge has minimal impact. 2. Even if there is an impact zone, I strongly believe the `impact' zone is approximately 2 feet from the edge. 3. If you do not move the bed slightly away, it is still OK. But if you want to, can move it further by a few inches (as shown in the attached illustration. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, Yes, very often it is very sad to learn that one has to borrow money to do it up for the sake of " Feng Shui ". Nowadays, Feng Shui in it's name sake has come to a very sad state of affairs. Often, these people, simply don't care about others; other than to make a quick buck. Nowadays, majority of FS practitioners are only concerned within the 4 walls of a house or apartment. In fact, Feng Shui is not just about the interior, alone. For example, if the exterior form is not favourable, no amount of enhancement within the house can do wonders. 1. If our house / apartment is like a mini car; no matter how, it cannot seat say 6 adults. If so, we have to buy an MPV…

Dear Anon, Can I clarify the following points: 1. The neighbour's mirror - facing your property: Is there perhaps a lone tree growing in your compound that seems to slice thru the window or second floor of your neighbour? Or alternatively, is there a private street lamp within your compound that slices into the second floor window of your neighbour? 2. When you stand at the main entrance, looking outside; can you see the mirror? Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Dominique, Please see below:- You can find the information at the following url:- http://www.geomancy.net/resources/theories/fs-colours.htm A good example is the " Finding a Good House Report " at http://www.geomancy-online.com It looks into three dimensions:- 1. A 360 degree overview of the Flying Star or Xuan Kong Feng Shui at every main entrance of each of the 24 directions (mountains). 2. In addition, the Eight House directions is also compared with Para 1 and Para 3. 3. Personal Ba Zi of the breadwinner i.e. element and strength in relation to direction of the main entrance. 4. Overall, the best house is one where all 3 (Para 1, 2 and 3) are favourable …

Dear Utpal, Please see below:- Under Ba Zi, if one is a weak water or strong fire; it is best not to have too much of the fire element. Nowadays, there is too much commercialisation in Feng Shui to the extent that even pyramid objects which was one used by another ancient civiliation : Egypt and Maya's. In China, we do not seem to see a pyramid. And because of this, it was felt that products such as a pyramid `cure' or `enhancement' is more of a gimmick. Please do not mistaken it with a Pagoda. In the past, Pagoda's are often placed above water veins especially lower down the river to neutralise (underground water) sha qi. It should not be construded as a pyramid shap…

Dear Anon, Further to what I had mentioned, please see attached example. Do take note that it is not necessary for SOME homes to use screens. And the attach picture should be considered a general example or broad example. 1. Purple line - manipulation of qi flow (or symbolic qi flow towards the centrepoint or the heart of the house. 2. Red - proposed location of screen. Please take note that ideally, the screen should hug or be around the same level as one side of the corridor as shown by a straight blue line. 3. Here, a half height glass panel is acceptable since, it can help to difuse light towards the main door area. 4. Since the master bedroom door is at the end of …

Dear Dominique, A good foundation is always to try and seek the reasoning. The Chinese I-Ching coin can be analysed as followings:- 1. The outer circle (of the coin) Circle represents metal element 2. Colour of the coin The colour of the coin looks metallic i.e. copper coin. (metal element) 3. What is the square hole? If one looks carefully at the productive sequence: Square represents Earth element. What so good about this? Since square represents Earth, under the productive sequence: Earth supports or fuel Metal. Thus symbolically strengthening the Metal element. 4. Why use 6? (6 coins) Number 6 represents BIG or STRONG metal. 5. Why use Red string? Red represents fire.…

Dear Dominique, If one is using the count based on Flying Star Feng Shui:- 1. The maximum count is Number 9. Or we call this 9 purple. 2. The other way of using these numbers are the 81 interpretations based on the combinations of 9 leading to 81 interpretations. 3. Flying Star numbers is also used in house numbers or apartment house numbers. One can check out the free report: House Number for apartments or Flying Star (Xuan Kong vertical Flying Star charts). Go to http://www.geomancy-online.com 4. Feng Shui is about earth luck. 5. There is another Chinese divinity method called I-Ching or Yi-Ching. In fact, it was recorded fact that the following discoveries were based…

Further to what I mentioned, we should not succumb to two situations:- 1. Auto-suggestion If we were to scold a donkey "stupid", the animal would not have this thought. But if we were to scold a child, often enough that he/she is "stupid" one day, the child may take on this unfortunate circumstances. 2. Self-fulfilling Prophecy If we think too much or fear too much, as a result, we may become as it is or `like that' or everthing can go wrong, it will! Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Master Lee, Thank you very much for your time and advice. Very detailed explanation. Regarding the screen you suggested, does the screen need to be as wide as the door ? I know that, it must be at least the same height as the door. e.g. Can the screen be half the size of the door's width ? http://198.66.6.160/1.jpg ? Or must the width of the screen be at least the same as the door ? http://198.66.6.160/2.jpg ? Thank you. Regards, Ken wrote in message news:12935.6652@forum.geomancy.net...

Dear Emily, Please see below:- 1. Honestly, this really isn’t a problem. 2. When you take over a new house or apartment, you’re not considered fully moved in yet. 3. And yes, it’s quite unrealistic to leave a wall or flooring completely untouched. It’s not practical at all – and it does feel a bit silly to try! 4. This is why choosing auspicious dates is another key success factor in Feng Shui. 5. The two most important dates are: 5.1. Picking a good date to start renovations. 5.2. Choosing the date for moving in. 6. Once an auspicious date for starting renovations is selected, the contractor can begin work even in the Tai Sui …

Dear Anon, In general, overall, it is said that the Rat would not have as good year in the Year of the Horse. Chinese Astrology, frankly (in my opinion) is too simplistic as many take into account only the YEAR of birth. Posters are man-made. Perhaps, it is to encourage the offering of prayers (with or without substance) - erh..my opinion only. Perhaps, to me, I draw a parallel to a poster that says " Brushing teeth to prevent decay ". And children in school do so together. Frankly, I do not see any harm since physcially at home; Grand Duke has not been distrubed or touched in any way. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, 1. Try to do a SEARCH in this forum for " World Trade " - as I had posted something about it earlier. Avoid using " Centre " or " Center " as I often use the British form of Centre instead of the American form of Center. I believe for most of those who died at the world trade centre, many perish with the aviation fuel/flame. In most part, the World Trade Centre tragedy is mostly of cremation or nearly everyone perish - ashes to ashes. I strongly believe for sometime; at least, or a section of the site could become a memorial. Else, if we look into documentaries on Discovery, there were documentaries of `ghosts' at Gettysburg (USA), many other sites su…

Dear Ken, Please see below:- -- Extract from a recent e-mail on auspicious measurements -- Further to what I had mentioned; For the surface area of your `Feng Shui friendly' tables or for anyone wanting to manufacture Feng Shui friendly tables can use this explanation:- (One Feng Shui foot is nearly equal to an imperial foot. One Feng Shui foot is roughly equal to 43 cms.) Description of tables with multiples of 17 inches (lenght x width):- THE MAGICAL 17 INCH FACTOR "One Feng Shui foot was derived from the side of a square, where the length of the diagonal of a square is the square root of two. In the West, this is known as the `magic square'. Thus multiples of 17 inche…

Dear Dominique, 1. Most importantly, what is the gravity or seriousness of the imbalance. 2. If it falls more into a room especially a bedroom than the second bedroom; then, often I set of cure is necessary. Especially if the other room is say the wardrope area. 3. But if the stars are pretty bad. For example, if the house is a Period 7 house; and the second bedroom is sandwiched between say East (often bad stars here) and South (sometimes bad stars); then the most productive is to paint say this room white (metal). If the room is in beige, cream or yellow which belongs to Earth, this may inadvertently fule further bad earth and thus cure would be required. Warmest Regar…
