Dear Mark, Mark lyden wrote: I currently have a fish tank in my living room(living room in west of house.) I also have red sofas. How can I arrang the furniture to improve my proserity. I am currently loosing money. If you are facing issues, then you will need to troubleshoot your home before anyone can tell you what are the problems for your home. Only when you know what are the problems can you attempt to correct your situation. ie. Is your home unsuitable to you based on your eight house or ba zi? ie. Is the living room sector a bad position to put water feature under the flying star. ie. What is your best sitting position so that you can arrange your furniture to…

Dear Max, 1. It is most important to understand that your Ba Zi element takes precedence here. For example, you mentioned that you are a person with a weak fire element. 2. Since you are a weak fire person, it is best that you avoid the water element especially in your home. As water will further extinguish your weak fire element for yourself. 3. Thus my advise is that in whatever location in your home, it is best or strongly advised that you forgo e.g. a fish tank in your home. 4. As wood helps fire element to grow, you can have more of the wood element (instead of water). This can be in the form or colour. 5. In colour, you should try to avoid especially blue (water). G…

Dear Anon, 1. There are indeed many (many) methods of calculations under "Numerology" and variants to it. 2. Furthermore, numbers are quite subjective and there are many interpretations. 3. It is very difficult to be accurate with simple analysis like what you had mentioned. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Wilfredo, In order to confirm; if one is standing at the main entrance door and can see e.g. the tree trunk. Here, the tree trunk is said to be slicing into the main door. If so, then this is a `poison arrow' slicing into a house. This is considered a `Sha Qi' or inauspicious. And should be corrected. But if it is a young tree e.g. within a thin branch or more like a bush; then this will not pose a threat right now. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Masters Last August I had a big argument with my Manager, She's 29(rooster year) and expecting a baby in December. I am a 51 yr old rat, and my boss is a 43 yr old Monkey. The problem did not blown out of proportion between Manager and me, until the Boss brought us in to his office to slove the problem. He told the Manager that I had complained about her(which I didn't) and vice versa. The whole mediation did not go well and there were still issues that needhis attention, but he is sweeping this under the carpet. Till today my relationship with mymanager has gone beyond repair and that myboss had instigated and used this to his advantage. He will gainboth ways asthe…

Dear Anon, 1. The priority should be given to balance the inauspicious Flying Star sector. Once it is balanced, it is considered neutralised. 2. Between the two, Flying Star takes priority. But once the imbalance has been neutralised, it should no longer come under a `threat.' 3. Thus, you can still sleep in the room which is one of your auspicious Eight House sectors. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Mark, 1. It would be nice if we can have a look at the design. But not `compulsory' thou. 2. Where possible, doors should open inwards into the house and not outwards. 3. It is acceptable to have carved doors especially, if the owners like them. There is no `fixed' rule on the type of carved door used. 4. In fact, there are many houses in the `past' where decorative panels are used on doors. 5. Nowadays, the most common (in relation to temple main doors)are the `proud' figures of the two famous door gods one on each side of the door panel. 6. Normally a nice designed door panel is good to have and would not be a `horrible mistake'. As I do not have a full view of th…

A full Feng Shui audit is a holistic approach and covers something like:- http://wiki.geomancy.net/wiki/Want_to_build_your_dream_home%3F It does not involve colours alone. And D.I.Y. (do it yourself) is not for the novice. You may want to consider Professional Feng Shui help.

Dear Amy, 1. Perhaps, you may like to consider the expert help option (We do it for you). 2. Each of us have our own birth-chart. And the distinction between Eight House and Flying Star Feng Shui is similar. 3. Both takes into consideration the "birth-chart" of a home. 4. As mentioned above, each of us have our birth-chart. Same goes for a home. 5. Given this understanding, we need to balance the elements in a home's "birth-chart". And the Flying Star Chart actually analyses the "birth-chart" of a home. 6. Therefore, even if one is a metal element or other element, we MUST first balance the birth-chart of our home. One way is based on the advice provided in a Flying Star …

Dear Anon, Frankly, a layout would be easier for us to help you on such advise. Uncluttering is always good, but for advising where is best placement, a layout plan would speak a thousand word. Though, many factors will still need to be considered ie the best direction etc, however, the shapes and form placement is often quite important. So generally, there is usually one or two way to place a bed in most modern layout. Whether there are at least two different position, then you based on which direction will be most suitable for you. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Dear Master Cecil, This year the 5 yellow Yearly star flew into the East Sector which is an occupied bedroom( A) . Does it help if the windows of this bedroom are kept closed except for the upper vent ? The bedroom door can be kept open during the day for better ventilation. The ideais that the #5 Qi would have to come through the East Sector windows ( btw these windows are SE facing). That is, can we manipulate such that Qi may circulate from the Living room( NE & Center)into the East Sector bedroom thru' thebedroom doorbut preventing the negative #5 Qi to enter from the East bedroom windows by closing these windows? Similarly, the adjacent bedroom (B)falls partially…

Dear Sean, Under the Eight House Theory, it is good to have a `suitable' front entrance facing one's good side. However, since your home is `mobile' it would suggest that it is quite small. In a small and mobile home, frankly it is quite difficult to apply certain Feng Shui principles. Perhaps, you can let us know what is the size of your mobile home i.e. is it around the size. If the centrepoint of the house is close to all directions, it is best not to `apply' Feng Shui but rather, look at the house interms of the environment i.e. Shapes and Form. One way of looking at the mobile home in relation to the site/land. Warmest Regards, Cecil ----- Original Message ----- From…

Dear Damodar, Weak or strong is determined by several factors: 1. On a very general level, the day of birth is referenced to the season the person is born. Based on the interaction of the season ELEMENT STRENGTH, it is looked at in relation to the person's ELEMENT. 2. Depending on the type of Pillars of Destiny chart `done': 2.1 Some simply look at the day of birth, while others look deeper using the interaction of the four pillars. More advanced analysis looks at all four pillars: Year, Month, Day and Time + House of Life and House of Conception. More advanced analysis looks at each pillar = Heaven stem and earthly branches with reference to other stems and earthly bran…

Dear Anon, 1. You can learn more about Shapes and Form Feng Shui at this URL:- http://www.geomancy.net/resources/resources.htm (The Free Fun with Feng Shui website or get the Applied Feng Shui book). 2. Or if you are at any local bookstore, you can try to find out books on `Basic Feng Shui'. Majority of books written on Feng Shui today - are those of Shapes and Form Feng Shui. Therefore, you should not have any problems buying any of them. Take the opportunity to browse thru before u buy them. Specifically, avoid "like the plague" any books where the author `express thanks to Lin Yun' or mentioned Black Hat Sect. I feel that books of this nature are not of proper Feng S…

Hi Anon, This has been mentioned many times. Suitability is one area which cannot be corrected. You either should avoid it or move to a better direction to completely remove that problem. The other way to reduce the impact is to have more favourable colours (ie your clothing colour etc). This will also improve your luck and thus reduce the inauspicious impact from the suitability issue of the Eight House. Other areas ensure other feng shui flaws in your home are fixed. These will help reduce the impact of the inauspicious work direction. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Five element can be related to many different things ie colours, shapes, direction, career etc. So when it mean Metal, it means ie Metal (colour - white/gold, circular shapes, metal materials, West or North-West facing direction, or even Metal careers). Refer to this useful link:- URL: http://talk.geomancy.net Since colour is easily found in many areas of your life, therefore the closest item that both…

Dear Hoa Luong, Hoa Luong wrote: Under P7, stars 6 and 1 are considered "average stars", but under P8, they are "auspicious stars". This is very confusing!, why is there such difference? Please explain. The 9 stars have different luck period depending on the period they are in. For example, Period 7, star 7 is good, but for other period it is a robbery star. It is a fading prosperity when it enters in to period 8 but revert to it's robbery star. So other stars will also be changed according to the interaction with the period. ie period 8, star 1 is the future future prosperity so the star is considered auspicious. Hope that helps. Dear Vivek, Please see below:- Eight House is only one of the many concepts under Feng Shui. In my opinion, the top consideration is the Shapes and Form Feng Shui. If we give a total of 100 marks to Feng Shui, I would say that Shapes and Form Feng Shui can account to between 50 to around 60 percent of the overall luck of the house. For excellent houses, it can even account to 80 to 90 percent of the luck. Here, one do not even need Feng Shui and yet will be very lucky. Thus for an average house, the remainder 40 percent out of a possible 100 marks is allocated between e.g. Flying Star and Eight House Theory. Thus, if assuming Eight House takes 20 percent of the rest…

1. From a Ba zi, perspective, make sure that the person is not a Strong Water person or a weak fire person as a water position placed wrongly in a home is considered inauspicious. 2. A water position, placed wrongly can also affect health and family relationships i.e. under Flying Star, if it is placed in a mountain star #8 location. 3. You can read up on what makes a good water feature (especially Para 2.1 to 2.12) under this link:- http://fountain.geomancy.net
