Dear Doreen, Chia Doreen wrote: 1. Where should I hang my wedding and children's photographs? Presently my wedding photograph is hanging in the master bedroom(sizes: wedding-approx. 24"x36", 8R table top, 4R/8R wall hanging) Family photos are good especially it helps improve harmony and relationship. So there shouldn't be any restriction on where you can or cannot place. As long as you feel good about it, you can place it wherever you can enjoy seeing it. Chia Doreen wrote: 2. Dear Anon, Most likely, your friend or friend's family don't have any elderly in need of aid such as wheelchair bound or walking stick! In addition, some elderly or even those who may have some illness such as diabetes that may need to go toilet often. Tell them to "enjoy" walking up and down the home. In addition, for us Chinese, we do cook alot : lots of wet ingredients. Tell it to us, to first bring up our marketing items.. hopefully prawns don't leak it's contents on the walkway etc... Later, need to dispose of it. Don't get me wrong, I like the "idea". But. as especially for the Chinese, many of us live with our parents, especially to look after them. Not to "…

I go to Europe and there are two floors. They both enter at different places; to get down stairs you have to go out side and to go upstairs you have to go outside. Kind of like this house you have to go outside to access the basement

Dear Stephanie, 1. In my opinion, this is not a `major' problem when we consider many other problems that can arise from other `bad Feng Shui'. 2. Usually, when two doors face each other - it is considered not so good because of the belief that the two parties in either of the rooms may become logger heads with each other. Particularly if they are young children. For adults, it depends on the maturity of the parties. 3. Some FS practitioners may ask one to use a windchime (below one of the door frame of one door only). This is acceptable. 4. However, I feel that by closing one of the doors (when not in use is) a better option. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, Frankly, your question is too general to `diagnose' what went wrong. Perhaps, you can be more specific in your question. For those who are new to the forum can find out more on how to get quick reply:- http://www.geomancy.net/contact/contact-forum-etiquette/contact-forum-etiquette.htm Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Nguyen, Please see below:- If you can attach a layout plan, I can help you confirm the direction. Under the Eight House Theory, there is no solution or cure. It is best to look at other theories e.g. Flying Star Feng Shui. Yes, she can sleep in the spook bedroom. But, for husband and wife, it is best for both of you to sleep in the same bedroom. You can sleep closer to the sector and she sleeps further away (if this is possible). I am sorry. I am confused with some of the directions you had mentioned. Perhaps, a sketch can help. Overall, it is still best to have the placement of the bed based on good shapes and forms Feng Shui. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anonymous, 1. In the ba zi, the birth element percentage is calculated during when you are born. So that gives you the percentage which you have at the time of birth assuming other factors such as the current year are not considered. 2. The percentage at each 10-year luck pillars is further calculated to attempt to give you an understanding how that particular 10-year element might influence your overall ba zi luck at that present time. 3. This is to give you a better understanding how your overall elements are at any present time. This will allow you to further fine tune your five element during that period so as to get the best overallresults. 4. Any percentage…

Dear Anon, It depends. Perhaps the mirror was installed before you moved in. If not, one good starting point is.. what was one's rationale for placing the two mirrors are. Is it because, it is part of the decor or is that it was because; an advise or suggestion that mirrors are good for the home. It is particularly interesting to note that not all but quite alot of Chinese epecially Cantonese dialect group, love to place a large mirror facing the `dining' table. It was felt that, a mirror facing the dining table was good especially if food or fruits are placed on the dining table as they `reflect' twice the number food i.e. symbollically representing `abundance'. In Feng …

Dear Sor Lan, There are three alternatives to your situation:- A. The use of bamboo flutes hung in such a method:- http://www.geomancy.net/mypictures/cgi-bin/mypictures.cgi?img=0&search=flute&cat=all&bool=and&x=6&y=16 B. Please see attached two photos:- One photo shows a support strut. While another shows two bamboo flutes `holding' up the beam. For the support strut, it can be a simple arch construction. Dear Vijay, So far, based on my personal observations, this is not a major issue. In Singapore, like anywhere else in the world, many landed properties (site) are either: 1. On the same level to the road 2. Higher than the road 3. Lower than the road Based on my personal experience, I often see many homes similar to your description ie. (para 2 type) do not encounter financial loss. Nor affect the health of the owners. But rather, more importantly, the concern is that of open drains that e.g. flow behind the house or at the side. Often, rather, if the house has a large opening e.g. sliding glass doors at the frontage with main entrance doors, there is a possibility that c…

Dear Anon, For a weak metal person, the best element to increase a weak metal is the earth element. Under the productive cycle, earth is better at increasing a weak metal as compared to `adding metal to metal'. Since, Earth element is generally constantly strong throughout the year, and that too much earth may trigger bad element elements like `sickness' or `misfortune', best to confine to to occassional wearing of e.g. clothes e.g. yellow. In your case, you can wear good or silver chain. But a pink quartz has qualities of the `fire element' - pink. Such a necklace may instead control metal and may not be beneficial. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Vincent, In my opinion, since you are so interested in Flying Star Feng Shui, it is best to learn (study) or take up a course on Flying Star Feng Shui. This is because, in order to answer your question takes much time and duplication of resources. For the enhancement of Step 3: What are it's weakness. I am very sure or confident that if you do find out the Water or Mountain star based on such a guideline, you will be better off in your quest for knowledge. Clue: It would be naive to only activate either Water or Mountain star. But what is more important is(are) does the location fit the criteria for activating a water or mountain star. For example, if a m…

Dear Margaret, So in singapore especially, the unit numbering for your home would be shown as #03-10. Where 03 is level, and 10 is the unit number for that level. Thus, there is two fields. I believe it should be safe for you to use 3 in the first field and 10 in the second field when using our Apartment Number report. In your case, depending on the layout, if the layout plan is such that the door isn't located too oddly or being blocked, you can take the center of the house to the main door. Else, you should take the frontage based on the living room's balcony where most light come into the house.Generally, you take for example from balcony looking out if …

Dear Anon, For the bedroom, it would be best to avoid any water scenery painting or poster in the bedroom. Otherwise, often, other types of painting or poster has to be looked at individually. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Gwen, 1. It is interesting to look at this concept first: " Accumulation of wealth ". 2. The key essence or key success factor; regarded by many Feng Shui Masters is to look at a piece of land i.e. be it as large as a city e.g. Canton and determine to see if the piece of land can be considered as `good' i.e. help to accumulate wealth for the residents or those within the `city'. 3. In Hong Kong, many millionaires or multi millionaires; consult a Feng Shui master to look at the site / plot of land on which they want to built their home. The key idea here is that the site can aid in the `accumulation of wealth'. 4. The Dragon Qi (Chi) For a city, it should be observed …

Dear Ali, Under one of my websites http://www.lovesigns.net - In the above site, you can find that a Rooster is characterised as:- Overview of a Rooster:- Roosters have keen sense of observation and likes to be noticed and flattered. It is not easy to fool a Rooster and they make good trouble shooters. They are conscious of their appearance and what they wear. What's good? Funny, witty, brave, enthusiastic, efficient and honest. A Rooster person is very intelligent, a good thinker and has an excellent memory, alert and organised. They are intelligent, entertaining and strong willed but generous to friends. Roosters are clever at finance, confident and an outstanding …

Dear ashwini, For the installation of chiming clocks, it is best to use it at locations that has a cluster of bad Flying star numbers. For example, it can be used independently if one sector has either one #5 or #5 combined with other bad stars like #2, or #3 or #4. For the centre of the home where the three doors are aligned. There is no issue with a wind chime there. But in my opinion, it is more "cosmetic" than effective. But if it does help to "calm the nerves" by all means. Since many of our uncomfort is due to "worring too much". Warmest Regards, Cecil

I know that the (5) center of a house is not ideal for a big television and computer, but it'sthe onlylocation I can place these electronics. I know that yellow is the ideal color here. I purchased a red colored/gold embellished t.v. stand and computer desk to be side by side. Then I remembered that red "fire" is unhealthy or drainingfor the center "health", like having a fire place. It's too late to cancel the shipment of the computer desk.Is the red going to affect (5) badly? I already have a unhealthy metal "electronics". I think I have two options. I can either squeeze the computer and red desk in my bedroom, which would be located upstairs in the (9) part of house …

Dear Hoa Luong, This is often quite a "rare" shape. As the back pointed edge would mean that both sides-of-the-fence have quite an odd backyard. Most properties would not be divided with such "backyard". As it would often be level with the property. Is this land for real? Generally, so long as the front is smaller and the back is wider, it can still be of good-Feng Shui. One can always do landscaping such that from top down, the home, if possible should be as rectangular in shape. Hope that the next round, you don't post a circular plot of land. Else, it will be one of the kind that no reasonable, government would sell such a plot..... Warmest Regards, Cecil Hoa Lu…

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: whenselecting an auspicious date for wedding, will it make a differenceif weuse only the chinese horoscope (sheng xiao) of the wedding couple andtheir parents? i.e. the date & time of birth of the wedding couple are not considered. Does it mean that a date that's auspicious forparticularchinese horoscopes will be auspicious for whoever persons with those same horoscopes? Yes, if you just use horoscope then you will be defined as Horse, Pig etc. Given that all person born in the same year will be the sameanimal sign, thus the animal signs which you clash with will be the same for all person born in the year. That is why we prefer to use ba …

Dear Anamika, 1. Thank you for bringing this up. 2. From what I understand (previously)... I have not really looked into detail his `formula' or method; but from what I understand (correct me if I am wrong), he is quite innovative and created a variant of partially using the Natal Chart and some parts of the Lo Shu numbers i.e. a bit like combining Eight House and Flying Star theory. While the Natal chart used here, is soley for the purpose of the 4 good and 4 bad directions (East or West House) or Eight House Theory. 3. In my opinion, it is always good to follow thru with one method ie. and where possible try not to `mix' one person's method with another. For example, sa…
