Dear Sophia, Please see below:- Often, if such a painting is drawn, the fishes should be in their elements i.e. water. This is because under the productive cycle of the Five Elements concept, Metal - Your three fishes paintingwith chillies, onion and tomatoes etc... looks like the fishes are close to being cooked? This is really an odd painting. It seems very cruel type of painting. Fortunately, you did not present it to the Shaolin Monks! Else, they may take you to task! Firstly, they don't eat live "animals" andif such a painting is presented to them, they may perhaps scringe with agony at the thought of this painting. Frankly, hope you don't mind me sayin…

So long as when one is sleeping, it does not seem to "slice" e.g. like a knife or blade towards one's body. Thus if this can fold down, then best to be folded down when not in use. Anonymous wrote: Could you advise if it is okay to have a wall-mounted folder-table directly in front of the bed in the masterbed room? Thanks.

Dear Anon, You have brought up an interesting question. 1. What career suits me? Overall, in Ba Zi, there are two major types of career aspirations:- Career with wealth (either earned or unexpected) Career with power and authority. Under this category, it is interesting to note that under Ba Zi, a career associated in this field is linked more to a person who becomes a boss as opposed to working for others. Reference:- http://www.geomancy.net/reports/paidreport-examples/paidreport-samples-career.htm 2. A professional look at your palm or palmistry can also look at whether you are more suited in joint ventures; working on your own or working for others. Warmest Regards, Ce…

Dear Phila, 1. As much as we should try to see if family members can be `placed' at favourable locations; this may not be possible; most of the time. 2. In my opinion, first priority should go towards placement based on Shapes and Form Feng Shui. 3. Here, the following considerations should be made:- 3.1. As mentioned under Para 2, top (first) priority must be given to placement under Shapes and Forms. 3.2 One should not `fit' the sitting positions e.g. of the `office' furniture and as a result; the flow in the dinning room becomes `odd' or bad. 3.3 You should consider, where the `entrance' / window areas are in the dinning room and place furniture that is functional. 3.4…

Dear Anon, 1. Under the Eight House Theory one can still sleep at different positions or `switch places'. For example; if the bed is located at the North sector: Husband's intangible force is `irritation' while wife's intangible force is `prosperity' The wife should sleep closer to the `North' sector. The husband can sleep further away from this North sector. 2. For the kitchen/bathroom at the centre of the house. It is preferred that at the `centrepoint' of the house (best to have clear space). Hopefully; try to avoid if possible: the toilet bowl / stove directly at this centrepoint. Objects that are `off-centre' to this can still be acceptable. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Alan, 1. In my opinon, this edge has minimal impact. 2. Even if there is an impact zone, I strongly believe the `impact' zone is approximately 2 feet from the edge. 3. If you do not move the bed slightly away, it is still OK. But if you want to, can move it further by a few inches (as shown in the attached illustration. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Maria, It is better to approach the issue under the Holistic Approach to Feng Shui. For example, other considerations - if your home is a landed property is to make sure that the "mouth" of the house is not often opened too large. For example, some homes, one have both the main entrance and a panel of sliding doors to the front patio. Frequently by opening this two mouth -- may imply that children may not get married. There are perhaps also so many other issues, here. Warmest Regards, Cecil

1. In an ideal situation, of course before buying or (renting) a home, it is best to consider the issues that you had mentioned. 2. Otherwise, based on the Eight House theory, this theory has it's limitations i.e. either you sleep in that sector or away from it. 3. Given that there is no way, nor room to relocate say your daughter, then, if Feng Shui is applied, then; 3.1 If you are DIY Feng Shui, then consider ways to fix "leaks" or improve health/safety: -http://www.geomancy.net/wiki/Main_Page#Key_Success_Factors_in_D.I.Y._Feng_Shui 3.2 Or alternatively seek professional Feng Shui help.

Hello, i would like to hear your advice on this home im thinking of purchasing. It's on a sloping street which is considered to be bad, so i read. But it all depends on other factors also. I would love to hear your opinions on it. I have included pictures showing a view of the house from the entrance of the driveway and doing a 360 degree to show the street. Also 2 pictures of the backyard which shows it sloping down also. Thank you!. http://img513.imageshack.us/img513/1530/67310241.jpghttp://img233.imageshack.us/img233/1950/72158514.jpghttp://img859.imageshack.us/img859/1214/32525997.jpghttp://img225.imageshack.us/img225/9968/37470096.jpghttp://img38.imageshack.us/img38/…

Dear Kayte, 1. It is advantages for you to plot both the Period 6 and Period 7 Flying Star chart especially if you had already stayed in the house for at least a few years. 2. Firstly, look at it this way: "No harm". Why? 3. This is because, if one had stayed in the house for sometime, one can see which charts are more accurate. For example, if any of the bedrooms are in the East or South, or especially at the East, and if family members had being staying in the `East' room for sometime without any issues on health; then, the chart closely mimic that of a Period 6 house. 4. It does not matter, therefore, if one is advised to use Period 6, 7 or even later period 8. 5. When…

Dear John, Please see below:- But, I personally feel that it is more likely missing corner(s) in this case. Under some Flying star "models", some Flying star directions would benefit from a rectangular or squarish shape building to take advantage of better Feng Shui for a home. Qn3. Would extending

Master Cecil, My mother's bedroom in the south sector has MS 1, WS 6 and base star 3. The house and main door face west and south would be the spook sector. However, her kua is 9 and south is her excellent sector. Is the room asupicious for her? Thank you.

Dear Anon, On the issue of the Grand Duke, there can be controvesy over the definition of how the Grand Duke can be `offended'. Therefore, when answering your question, I used the word `strickly speaking' i.e. where it concerns some advice, it is a must not to offend the Grand Duke. In my opinion, I feel that it is acceptable: 1. When one does a renovation especially take the case; where this is not a new house and we need to renovate the home. When we engage a contractor to do the entire renovation of the home; I feel that this is acceptable. On the `commonsense' approach.. it is not practical to ask the contractor to say do renovation to the home and leave out some part…

Dear Joey, For accessing the third floor accomodation, one should take into the consideration the main door location at south-west for taking the compass reading under Flying Star analysis for the room. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Allan, On an intuitive level, (without) detailed Pillars of Destiny or FS analysis; you can: 1. determine what is your present `LUCK' in the existing home. 2. If you have found a `better' home, or feel that you have found a better one then your existing home. In such a situation, you can try to move residence ASAP. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, Under the Eight House or East/West 4 persons concept, priority should (where ever possible) be given to sleeping in a good sector. And only after this, then it is nice to have one sleeping in a good direction. Since, most of us have already moved in or impossible to change rooms etc.. there is not much more than what one can do or `squeeze' out this concept. To improve one's luck further, it is best to use other concepts - instead. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Ingrida, Actually, I believe what you mentioned is not Flying Star Feng Shui but rather the Eight House Theory. We may have to take the Eight House Theory with a `pinch of salt' for situations where there is no rooms that we can ideally spent more time at. Usually, this theory is used more for: 1. How suitable the house is to the breadwinner. 2. As you mentioned, it is good to spent time at good sectors. But if there are considered `no' good sectors to spent time at; one need not be say `upset' over it. This theory is meant more for the `initial' house hunting. For example, when house hunting, it can help or aid us to further decide which house to choose base on the…

Dear Madan, Thank you for bring up this interesting report. My comments are as follows:- Lets first look at the three Periods of the Lunar Calendar 6th Period or Yang Metal - 1964 to 1983 7th Period or Yin Metal - 1984 to 2003 8th Period or Yang Earth - 2004 to 2023 If one can notice, that Period 8th is significant because we are entering a period generally of Strong Earth (Yang Earth). The observations could be true because Yang Earth unlike other elements has a lesser influence. Since earth element is strong throughout and prevalent. There was this study done on I-ching prediction some years back and a graph was plotted and the i-ching graph went into `infinity'. As thi…

Dear Dominique, 1. Most importantly, what is the gravity or seriousness of the imbalance. 2. If it falls more into a room especially a bedroom than the second bedroom; then, often I set of cure is necessary. Especially if the other room is say the wardrope area. 3. But if the stars are pretty bad. For example, if the house is a Period 7 house; and the second bedroom is sandwiched between say East (often bad stars here) and South (sometimes bad stars); then the most productive is to paint say this room white (metal). If the room is in beige, cream or yellow which belongs to Earth, this may inadvertently fule further bad earth and thus cure would be required. Warmest Regar…

Dear Chee Kiong, Actually, the clue has to do with the "strength" of your element. For example, there is a difference between a "weak" fire person and a "strong" fire person. Under the Five elements concept; the idea is that if one is weak, one should increase one's element. While on the other hand if one is strong, one should try to decrease it. Here, in both instances, what we try to do is to become "balanced" i.e. a "balanced" fire element that is neither too weak or too strong. In your case, since you are a strong fire person, water is favourable to you as it will help to reduce the strong fire. The opposite is true for a weak fire person. Water will further help …

Hello Master Lee, Thank you in advance for your help. My question relates to the position of the garage relative to the house. As far as I understand it is better to have the garage detached from the main house and set back from the front of the house / front door. However, my mother has this set up and nobody (neither people living there nor visitors) ever uses the front door of the house. Everybody enters the house via the side door or backdoor / laundry room door which is near the garage, driveway and parking area. We live in Canberra, Australia where it gets very cold and people want to get into the house as quickly as possible especially if carrying groceries or othe…
