Dear Ingo, Usually, a river head is like a dragon's head. And often a river location draws activity. When water is concerned, it is considered inauspicious if: 1. it becomes a stagnat pool of water. 2. if the river seems to `cut-into' the development. Yes, your city sounds very enchanting:) 3. Overall, based on your description, the building you live in sounds ok to me. Often, it is the friction of water with air(even if it is on the surface of a river) that creates ions. Better if it is positive ions that are created. Reference url: 1. Water classics of AD600:- http://www.geomancy.net/resources/art/art-wclassic.htm 2. Water, water, everywhere... http://www.geomancy.…

Dear Kathryn, Please see below:- On 8/14/2003 5:35:59 AM, Kathryn wrote: Frankly, there is not much "productive" inputs that can be gotten from the concepts like wealth/fame; helpful people or this sort of "Feng Shui". Honestly, such `fixed' concepts are often too general to be of use to anyone. For a start, is it still possible to `undo' the things that you had done previously. This is because, currently without much information or nor applying proper Feng Shui eg. Flying star etc... I don't have a clue (or is gropping) in the dark. Here, you may have to use `trial and error' FS. In my opinion, do try to forget about the notation of " relationship corner ", " creativ…

Dear Ariane, I am sad to hear about your problem: 1. If you have the time, you could check out the Shapes and Form School of this house i.e. do an environmental scanning: the surroundings site, the home. 2. We will certainly be happy provide you credit for a Flying Star Analysis. Here, you have to do some homework i.e. find the centreporint and direction of the main entrance etc... Look closely at the NE sector also. Warmest Regards, Cecil P.S. Please email: robert-lee@3dmail.com to credit u with a Flying Star Analysis.

Dear Anon, 1. If it is a temporary arrangement, the major concern would be the lighting and the `cleanliness' of the place. (Not so much - crucial about Feng Shui). 2. However, in Feng Shui, try to make sure that you and your family are comfortable in this temp location. And since, it is a basement, the ventilation should be adequate. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Rae, If not sure, don't `activate' anything. It is not like buying some objects or items at $500.00 and hoping that one can get back a return of $1,500 or more. The only sensible way to `invest' money is through proper finance schemes or through low risk returns such as Fixed Deposits or Savings Account. Many fall into the trap of "Credit Card Feng Shui". Where, one gets cash advance in the `hope' of getting a return. The only return here is a bill with accumulated interests that loan sharks would only goggle their eyes on. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Kamini 1. In my opinion, many of us are led wrongly to believe that our romance sector is at the South-West. 2. In fact, many book authors and those who sell things to enhance that sector are infact the only ones " Laughing to the Bank ". 3. It is certainly sad to see this situation. 4 Let us look at an illustration:- 4.1 Let's say if three of us are young bachelor males working in any office. There is a new lady colleague who has just joined us. 4.2 One of us would place a mandarin duck in the South-West sector. For me, I may have palced 12 roses at South-West sector. 4.3 The third male colleague, who knew of what three of us are doing; try to out bid the two of …

Dear Philip, Frankly, in my opinion; the hand-me-downs you mentioned perhaps has more to do with co-incidence, than anything else. This is because logically, such items do not seem to pass down an illness or a situation. I would strongly thing that the hand-me-downs is not really a major issue. But, it is no harm playing safe - not to hand it over to your new born. So far, the incomplete picture is that Flying Star feng shui has SE as #5 at this sector. Please check to see if the room does not have earth tones especially yellow, cream or beige or fire tones e.g. red, pink or purple in this room. As these two elements are not favourable for this lunar year at SE. Wishing y…

Dear Roeland, Roeland de Looff wrote: Suppose someone is weak wood and sitting ina sector in which the woodstars 3 or 4 are prominent. Although these stars are no good in a general sense will these stars benefit the weak wood person? Not really. This is because a sector has several influence at work, even though there is a star 3/4 which are wood element. That person might benefit a little from it, but not really a great deal. Given that the flying star sector has 20year/year/month/day stars changing all the time, as such even ifa presence of star 3/4 is there, it isn't enough to be considered a Wood element presence. This isn't as strong as staying in the East dir…

Dear Nurit, Frankly, if Traditional Feng Shui is being applied, there are many principles involved in accessing both the home; the `fit' of the home to your parents (breadwinner); the birth chart of the house and even Pillars of Destiny of each family member. Another instance is that a North-East house (main door facing) may need additional attention especially since this is the (NE = devil's gate). For a start, you could try to apply the Eight House Theory using the steps shown under http://www.geomancy.net/fs/house1.htm Or use the free Eight House report available under www.geomancy-online.com At the same time, you can try to apply Shapes and Form Feng Shui. In particul…

Dear Hoa, Yes, what I mentioned is that "depends on where the house sits." Thus, if one look at the above statement carefully, it refers to "where the house sits" rather than "where the plot of land is". Perhaps, if you can incorporate an outline of the house, it's drive-way path up to the home and the house profile with the main door. And also, what type of fence/ concrete or any additional high low walls. Therefore, it is often again "where the house sits" rather than the actual plot of land on the cul-de-sac - takes on a major consideration. Thus, unfortunately, what you had provided has too little inform to make any further comments. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Hoa Luong, Please take it down immeidately! This is because of the combination of #6 (big or strong metal) with #8 (water star). This #6 already fuels #8 or metal produces #8. By adding your additional 6 coins, this becomes a vicious cycle of creating more water. Or as you have found out, can lead to `water related' problems. Perhaps, can you describe what elements are already in your room: a. wardrope colour b. wall colour c. often used bed sheet colour d. curtain colour. Currently the 6 coins can be detrimental because effectively, you most likely have a three combination flow where: Metal -> Water -> Wood and when you add 6 metal again, this is another cont…

Dear Theo, 1. Frankly, the analysis that you mentioned is but only one of the many considerations before chosing a house. 2. Prior to what you had mentioned, there are other considerations to look at. Some are fundamental. 3. What you had described about is only micro Feng Shui. Or Feng Shui without first considering the environment. 4. I usually, consider this phase " Location, Location and Location " (the THREE Ls) as the most important factor. 5. When I mentioned the THREE Ls, we should more importantly look at the external environment: focusing on the site the house is located at and then afterwards look at the house (interior of the home). 6. The above are I believe …

Dear Anon, For this lunar metal snake year, the position of Tai Su is at South-South East or exactly falling at compass degree 150 degrees. And not South West. However, the location of conflict is at EAST sector. -- Extract from Flying Star report at www.geomancy-online.com:-- Tip on Renovating Your Home If you are doing renovations for your home, check the location of Grand Duke, first. What is the Grand Duke's Theory? The Chinese hold the Grand Duke in great esteem. The Grand Duke refers to the position of Jupiter in relation to each of the Chinese calendar year. For example in 2001, the year of the snake, the grand duke is at 150 degrees or South-South-East:- What's t…

Dear Thomas, 1. Since you are writing a paper on Feng Shui, in my opinion, it would be appropriate in many of the questions for you to do some homework (rather than being spoonfed on some easy answers). 2. To help you further, please sent a personal e-mail to support@geomancy.net so that I can credit you with Paid credit on the book " Applied Feng Shui " - where I will direct you there to find some of the answers to certain questions. In order to do so, you must have created a an account at http://www.geomancy-online.com. Let us know the account. 3. Therefore I would:- 3.1 Refer you to my book if answers can be found there. 3.2 Questions that need an appropriate answer - …

Hi Kelvin, Frankly, the luck of a home comes from the Environment. And since the environment is hard to correct. This I must say is ultimately most important. If your surrounding environment is average, then no matter how much you enhance your own four walls (ie flying star) it will only remain average kind of luck. So you are only looking at one aspect of the flying star analysis. Sum of 10 or any other flying star features are only good if they are in the right location where the house can benefit from it. Not having it but having a house with more sectors auspicious in the right location can be better than having a sum of 10 which only say appears at the storeroom se…

Dear Wasis, Thank you for sharing your layout plans. They are very helpful in understanding your situation. The living room should remain as it is, since the new layout is a big improvement over the previous one. Regarding the bedroom, I agree that the new layout is not satisfactory. For this room, please return to the original layout. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Megan, The following questions can be asked: 1. Owner of the building For a owner of the buidling; he/she may ask the question: What is the `Feng Shui' of my building like? 2. For the owner of an individual unit or flat or apartment? The question asked is: How good is the Feng Shui of my individual unit. Therefore, usually for a homeowner; he/she is more concerned with Para 2. Therefore the compass reading of the main entrance door should be based on his apartment's main entrance door. And he/she should apply e.g. Shapes and Forms to analyse the building. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, If you are applying the Eight House than, you have to use South West (the door to get into your apartment). I like to clarify that if you are using another theory i.e Flying Star and wanting to place water features or mountain support, it is best to use the frontage of the building. A good example is that under such a situation, if say metal elements are detected at the frontage of the building, it is a good candidate for a water feature. Since you do not `own' the exterior of the building, even when you apply Flying Star Feng Shui, best to use say South West or the interior of your home. Warmest Regards, Cecil
