Dear Kenny, Please see below:- This is good. More importantly, it is best to look at the entire building/block in relation to the Shapes and Form of the location, here. Is the piece of land where the whole block can accumulate wealth or where it flows off. Other consideration is that are there any poison arrows aimed at the apartment through windows.. This has to be looked into carefully. This is ok:) More importantly, best to look out for missing corners in the home. So long as the bed or other furniture are arranaged in good Shapes and Form, this should be acceptable. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Hi Henry, Generally a wind chime should have hung on the outside rather than inside. However, please take note about wind chimes as different number or rods or the type of materials the rods are made of can greatly have an impact if hung at the wrong location of the house. Usually wind chimes can be used as a cure to cure different problems. But if hung at wrong locations where the elements are not needed etc, may cause more problems than good. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

Dear Juliana, These are inherent problems that one should avoid if possible. Frankly, there are no cures unless, the bathroom is not above e.g. the study room or dining room. Where possible, spent less time at these locations. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, Frankly, for such a situation, there is no effective cure for it. The only possibility (but in your case cannot be done) is to have a flat ceiling. In instances such as what you mentioned and others such as toilet above the dining room etc... cannot be cured unless they are physically moved. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Hi Bharat Mayani, Generally, your problem here is regarding door facing each other. Well, generally for such situation most of the only cures you can use is really to put a bagua on the door. However, personally what exactly are problems you have with your current situation? Is it that you often have conflicts with your neighbour? It looks to me like the neighbour is basically not around most of the time. So what other problems are you actually facing? If there is nothing, then basically nothing much to worry about. There is a saying that goes if nothing is broken do not try to fix it. If you facing problems with areas such as financial or sickness then, you should look …

Hi, There is only one additional thing you can do to help reduce this problem is to ensure that the bedroom which your husband stay's should be one of the good sectors of the Eight House. This will at least help to offset the problems of the unsuitablility of the house. However, the long terms solution is still to move out of the house as this house no matter how good the Flying Star is will not bring great wealth to your husband. Anyway, since you are not sure whether the main door is South-East (112.5 to 157.4 degree) or South (157.5 to 202.4 degree). Use the degree's provided to verify if your main door is South or South-East. Use a compass from somewhere at the ce…

Dear Rudresh, In my opinion: 1. India like China has one of the oldest civilisation. These two countries have some of oldest civilisation. 2. In fact, in the Chinese tale of "Journey to the West"; a Chinese monk of the Tang dynasty was given the task to go to India to obtain holy scriptures. 3. This does show that there is much to be learned from Indian culture. 4. Since China and India are close neighbours, there is indeed much trade and cutural exchanges. 5. I believe, (for now) Indian vasthu is not as contaminated or highly commercialised as " Feng Shui " of today. It is because of the highly commercialised `Feng Shui' what with FAST FOOD FENG SHUI and marketing geni…

Dear Jolene, Frankly, it is difficult or impractical to hide this corner. An alternative is to use a poster bed with screens or curtains ... but again, this may not be a practical solution. A metal wind chime can be used in such a situation to neutralise the corner. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Kenny, Overall, perhaps, the observations made may be `coincidental' unless further analysis is done e.g. using the Flying Star to analyse each sector i.e. NE or South in detail. It also depends on the built-up of the home i.e. the building in relation to wind movement. This is also affected by surrounding buildings (wind blowing from different directions and the high and low pressure points of the location. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, Please see below:- Usually, proper placement of e.g. wind chimes are done after a proper FS analysis has been done. Such as using Flying Star FS. Since, you are using the above tool, you have to:- 1. Examine.. what is your purpose of placing a wind chime? 2. Is it because you heard that placing a Wind Chime is good or suppose to be beneficial or is it because, you found a wind chime that you `love' and would like to place it in you home. 3. If you had found a wind chime that you quite like, usually, one would/may have a mental ideal (before the purchase) of where, one would like it to be placed in the home/room. If your case is similar to Para 3, usually on…

Dear Henry, Usually, adding an ancient coin (I believe it is the same as your Yin/Yang coin) or is this a different coin should not be a problem. I understand that some e.g. Buddha stone figurines have been `blessed' and may be considered charms. This may have some effect. For your Yin/Yang coin, so long as it is not being blessed similar to the above, it usually would in my opinion, not pose any problems to the wearer. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Kenny, Generally, these are another way to look at the various elements in relation to your life:- Simply it is good to have friends as they often means people or things which helps you along the way providing you additional support and encouragement. Most likely all users are more interested in the Wealth as such the reports focus more on this area. Generally, if you encounter for example lots of Earned Wealth and Unexpected Wealth in your Luck Pillars or throughout your life based on (Water) elements, it means that you are given lots of opportunities to gain wealth. Whether or not you succeed thus depends on whether youa re a strong Earth person. On the oth…

Dear Henry, If you are doing an analysis, it is good to consider analysing the `different' results obtained if your main door is at the back or your actual main door. Usually, the frontage of the house is looked at. Here, standing outside the home or from either the front of the house or the back, check to see which is the brightest.. usually this is done in the morning or up to noon (12.00pm). 1. In many cases, the frontage is where you have your frontdoor or the door to the garage on nearly the same `face'. 2. If your back door is really at the back of the house, it is quite difficult to consider this as your main door. For purposes of FS audit, using say the Flying Sta…

Dear Alex, In general, toilet positions at true compass directions including a toilet directly at the North East are considered inauspicious. For example, in building a new home, it would be ideal not to situate the toilet directly at true compass directions such as e.g. 0 degrees - North; 45 degrees - North East; 90 degrees - East and at SE, South, SW, West & NW. One reason is because, the Compass School of Feng Shui places significance to such directions where, each Gua or Kua (Trigram) is located. Where best, the toilet is situated away from these degrees. A more accurate situation is not to locate them especially/particularly the toilet bowl, at 15 degrees increm…

Dear Anon, 1. The Ngee Ann City has twin towers and is shaped more like a `U' shape to catch wealth. 2. Since there are twin (identical towers) on both sides of the main entrance, it is good to have the water fountain at the centre-point of the frontage. For water flow, it is usually auspicious to have it flow inwards towards the building rather than flowing out (or letting wealth flow out). 3. The reason for the huge distance between the fountain and the main entrance is that since this is quite a large project/development, it is good to have a good balance of a wide frontage or clear space at the front of the building. 4. The two support columns are in pairs and can be …

Dear Anon, Further to what I had mentioned earlier:- 1. Usually there is no major impact on the placement of metal wind chimes other finding a family member sleeping close to it could perhaps have nightmares. 2. It is the belief that nightmares are usually cased by playful imps, and in some cases cause nightmares especially if metal wind chimes are used (in the West, NW - which are the metal element sectors). Because, of the time element, where, if one place a wind chime at a particular sector, utimately there can be a situation where, there could be perhaps too much imbalance of the metal element at a sector... and it could cause the above. One can chart this out say us…

Dear Julie, In my opinion, fraction of a street address is usually secondary.. to having a a life of struggle. Usually, other aspects of the home especially the external environment, the site and the home needs to be investigated. Alternatively, the house may not be considered suitable to the individual. I sincerely belief that there are other explanations. You can do the prelimary:- 1. Look out of your main entrance and all windows in the house to look for any poison arrows aimed at the windows / entrance - if any. 2. Use the Eight House theory to see how suitable the house is to you. You can perhaps start from the above first. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Kathy, 1. Primarily, under Shapes and Form FS, check to see that the centre of the home (where possible) should be one where there is clear space. 2. For the fire-place, ideally it should be located where one wall is occupying an external wall. This is the same concept of a toilet where, one wall should preferably be an external wall. This would `prevent' the fire-place being in the centre of the house. It may depend on the size of the house. 3. If you are looking at asthetics to consider whether your house is balanced, it is quite difficult (I believe) to achieve since it is difficult or near impossible to move your fire-place. 4. Basically for windows, the main th…

Dear Lotty, Frankly, with the limited information provided, I am not able to assist you. Overall, what you have mentioned should be related to (without analysis using other FS methods), the rooms should firstly try to conform with Shapes and Form FS. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear David, 1. The best solution is to see if the bookself can have e.g. doors. Other than this, some cover the bookself with cloth but may not look appropriate. 2. As for the cabinet, it may not be a threat unless the EDGE is pointing towards you. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Rakesh, 1. This has usually more to do with symbolism or beliefs. 2. The belief is that if one has a ship painting, it should not be of a stormy weather where it may imply that the ship may be caught in a tidal wave or storm and sink. 3. In the above situation, it is not ideal symbolism to have a painting where the ship may sink and relate this to a company where.. the company may go under. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Wasis, Frankly, Feng Shui is not meant for curing such situations since there are external factors involved. It can only help in bed placement but this is less of a priority than other methods especially through science. If science cannot really help, some go for other alternative medicines (provided they are suitable e.g. some people bring to the patient animals such as a `friendly' dog or to some one known to the patient to talk to them. In some siutations, (most probably not for this case), some use acupunture. Warmest Regards, Cecil Regards, Wasis

Dear Anon, 1. For those who have not done a proper FS assessment for a child's bedroom can:- 1.1 Depending on the age of the child, create a more yang environment. For example, if it is a young child of 3 to 6 years old can paint the bedroom in a bright colour and hang.. other decorations e.g. ABC.... etc... 1.2 The key essence is how the child is brought up. If the child is quite independent and has been sleeping in their own bedroom for quite some time, this is a good sign. 1.3 However, if the child has frequent nightmares and wakes up in the middle of the night or constantly bed-wetting the bed, it is good to look further into it. 1.4 As a parent, you can, I believe, …

Dear Johnny, 1. A Ba Gua mirror is commonly used under two situations:- 1.1 With the hope that hanging it would ward off evil spirits. 1.2 Another common use is to place it facing a Sha Qi or poison arrow e.g. a main door facing e.g. a T junction. 2. If it is primarily used for the purpose of WARDING OF EVIL spirits, many FS practitioners would recommend: especially FS practitioners who have religious inclination would have the Ba Gua mirror blessed. 3. Some also place a charm (yellow paper charm) above the main door. Here, the practitioner would always recommend that the charm and the Ba Gua mirror be blessed. 4. Overseas especially, in the West, the Ba Gua mirror is mor…
