Hi master, may I ask if the flat I am considering that is southwest facing a tower with a triangle pointed to the sky is good or bad for me? The tower is flat and thin and facing me is the flat side. I couldn't upload pic successfully, so see pic at this link. [I have removed the link - Cecil Lee] Thank you very much in advanced!

Dear Colleen, 1. Yes, it is not adviseable to keep fishes in the bedroom. 2. To answer your question as to where to keep fishes, usually, this is looked into in relation to a person's (especially the breadwinner's Ba Zhi) and cross referenced to the Flying Star of each sector. For example, if the breadwinner's Ba Zhi is weak fire, it is best to avoid having a water position in the house. 3. Another area we look at is the Flying Star of each sector. Some sectors may be out of balance and adding water may cause further imbalances. 4. Well not to `scare' you in anyway but one can rely on instincts if Para 2 is not followed i.e. find a location which one feels comfortable ab…

Dear Cc, It depends! There is certainly no universal approach here. In fact, FS practitioners would respond by saying that it depends on the sector:- 1. Yin and Yang balance If the place is kinda dark, e.g. west facing, then a mirror (may) help here. This is based more on intuition or personal feelings. 2. Based on Feng Shui rulesets It is the common understanding that a bad sector may bounce back twice the bad luck. For example, under the Flying Star Theory, if a particular sector is inauspicious or especially if the sector is not properly cured. E.g. sickness sector or misfortune. Then, it could imply that one could inadvertently; a mirror at that specific location may …

Dear Cecil, The flying star chart for the North Sector of my E1, period 7 house is 5 (Mountain) vs 1 (Water). Base star is 3. I know I should avoid bright yellow and green because of 5 and 3. What about a Black Lacquer Screen in this sector, is it ok? Thank you, Hoa

Good day Master Lee, I would appreciate greatly if you can advice if this property is inauspicious. My first impression of this property is that it is on a corner + at the entrance of the cul de sac, and the land has a trapezium shape, which maybe unfavorable in terms of fengshui. Thank you.

Dear Anil, 1. For the sector, if it is out of balance, then #5 and #2 should be cured. Before this, it is looking at the three Mountain #, Water # and Base # together. 2. Applying the concept of " If one cannot see it; it no longer becomes a threat ". In such a situation, you may want to use e.g. day curtain to solve the problem. But if you prefer to open the curtain; one good remedy is the use of Two forks: Please see the attached illustration below. (Note: for those who participate thru this forum using mailing list, you may have to log in to the forum to view this graphic as all attachments are not sent thru the mailing list option.) 4 Toilets

Dear Emily, 1. If you have a sketch, feel free to upload to the forum for confirmation. 2. Often, this is not a major issue since most (former 3-room flats) have their toilets at the `back' of the house) - Usually one attached to the master and the second toilet sharing the same wall and close-by. 3. 4 sets of such toilets does not necessary mean that it is inauspicious. 4. Often, the benefit of the older HDB flats are that it is mostly rectangular - a good shapes and form. As well as the exterior of he building is a `stable' earth element shape. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Hello Feng Shui masters, I'm looking at purchasing a property and while the apartment itself is not trapezoidal shaped, the detached garage (on the basement level) has a storage cage which is very obviously an irregular shape. Is this considered trapezoidal shaped land (since I will own the storage cage)? Kind regards and many thanks.

Dear Brenda, Usually, the specific sector is looked at before, providing comments i.e. particularly using Flying Star to check on the elements at that sector with the hope that it is balanced. Paying `homage' to a sector i.e. North = career may not be the right thing to do. However, in my opinion, you can at best take it as interior decor for your home i.e. feel nice with the 3 plants at that area? Warmest Regards, Cecil

Hello, I want to ask the master if I can put the stove + oven in on the north wall of the kitchen, only it is 30 cm away from the sink, because I am kua 1, my husband is kua 7, my daughter is kua 5, my mother-in-law is kua 2. The kitchen is facing (windows to the east 3, and the door to the west, the apartment is built in 1986, facing east- road, north door), I have two options in the kitchen, on the wall from the south, but I would affect everything for the whole family and if I put the stove and the oven on the other wall is northeast (which affects the others good growth) and remains the only option in the north, which affects only me), how can I have the best option? …

Dear Dr. Lee, Soon I will be signing a lease on a new apartment. I am new to feng shui, so I just found out that living in a triangle shaped building is not recommended. The floor plan of my apartment is a rectangle though (it is marked in black in the picture). Do you have any advice or tips to solve this problem? Thank you so much in advance!

Dear Brenda, Frankly, my new house is also peach (or rather cream coloured). I find it quite a chore to have it repainted to my favourite colour - netural white. So long as these colours are bright - creating more a yang (bright) look, it is still acceptable. As to whether to place 6 coins, in my opinion, there is no harm to do so. On the other hand, I would rather, check to see if any family members have frequent bouts of sickness. If so, it would be better to place the 6 coins in the same room for family members that frequently get ill. Warmest Regards, Cecil
