i can't move the dog to another house cos i only own 1 house. and its quite a small one, so i can't "keep the dog away from me" too. it doesn't help that i like dogs, and so is my wife. so i was wondering if there was any way both me and the dog can co-exist in the same house. good thing is my dog did not die during the 2 years she was here with me, but i was thinking things may be better if there is no "clashing". any suggestions? thanks for the help

Further to what I had mentioned: 1. The key success factor is always: Location, location, location, location and location. 2. Here, it suggests the "Big picture" more towards Macro Feng Shui i.e. the External environment, the Site, the Building. This is akin to top jobs such as CEO, CFO, Senior Management positions. 3. Often, when we zoom into a unit or apartment; this is like the troops: and can range from the equivalent of middle management positions to clerical. 4. If one has been in the army, the site, building befits positions like Generals, Colonels, Majors. 5. While the unit or apartment is similar to non commissioned officers ranging from Lance-corporals, corpora…

Dear Cecil, Thanks for your reply. You've been a great help. The "Matt" finishing on glass is not common tho we would endeavour to obtain it. Also, where would you advise on placing a water feature in the home?? We are planning to get one plus some indoor plants. What kind of plant would be good asides from the "money plant"? Thanks for your help and expert advise!! Cheers.

Dear Master Cecil: Thank you for your response. I know that I'm not the only one in this scenario. I wasn't sure what the solution was because I heard so many different cures that just didn't make any sense. And of course just because I don't have the same good directions as my fiancee does NOT mean that I'm going to leave him for somebody else that does!! Your advice was greatly appreciated. Have a great day!

Dear Ann, Under the attachment, it seems that there is a long narrow corridor between the living, corridor and bedroom/balcony. The centerpoint of the home has restricted qi flow or flux. In addition, markings 1, thru 2 thru 3 shows the leak from the living towards the middle bedroom. A rough indication is that it seems more favourable that there is no wall between the living room and corridor. Except for other hidden considerations such as what is the opening at the balcony e.g. are there windows, full glass height area and which compass direction there are. In your home, do check whether you do have a water position. Many people, assume that water positions are good. Bu…

Dear Master Cecil: I am unable to upload a sketch of the way of my house situates relative to my neighbors' houses. Let me see if I understand your message. I cannot cover all cases. I simply try to summarize what I observe on the street I live. Primarily, the street in front of a house determines the direction of the Qi comes from. Therefore, if a number of single family detached houses situated side by side facing a street: 1. The frontage of the houses that are closer to the street collect more wealth. 2. The frontage of the houses that are relatively distant from the street lose wealth to other houses. 3. The frontage of the houses that sort of tilt away from the stre…

Dear Esther, Knocking the door The idea here is to seek the "spirits" permission to enter the home. But, frankly, not many people does this sort of thing. In fact, it is better not to do so, based on symbolism. Knocking could alternatively seem to "knock" away one's luck even before entering the home. Well, I hope, that by now, you should have a good idea of what to do. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Cecil, Please see below: I've told my brother that the lay out is inauspicious. However, he argued that he had consulted with a trustworthy psychic that the land was very auspicious. He added that most houses at the same side of the street have the same characteristic (lower than the street with basement) and many rich landlords stays there. The left neighbour has the same interior and exterior design because they're semi-detached houses. The left owner stays there too and is very rich. It looks like there is a river nearby "hug" the location. All I can do for him is suggest not to rent too long. Thanks in advance. Regards, Wasis

Dear Anon, Further to what I had mentioned, most of us are aware of the Holy trinity of Luck. Often, the third dimension: Human Luck or Man Luck can pull down our luck especially if there are frequent quarrels in a home or unhappiness. Therefore, besides, Heaven Luck, and Earth Luck (Feng Shui), harmony in a home can help to boost one's luck at home. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Caroline, Further to what I had mentioned:- Make sure that the corner of the pond is not aimed at "vital areas" e.g. main door entrance. In fact, in general Feng Shui, many practitioners would recommend the placement of the water feature on the (left) side of the garden. Since the right side is said to bring with it extra-marital affairs. (Where one stands inside the house looking outwards). Contrary to popular belief, it should not be placed directly in-front of the main entrance. Or blocking it. Again IN GENERAL, many FS practitioners would favour the placement of a water position (in harmony with the compass direction.) Thus, many FS practitioners favour the p…

Dear Tracey, For homes that are built or had a major renovation under Period 8, do look out for water star #8. Since, water can be used (often in a landed property) to activate this water star - for wealth purposes. It would be even be excellent if #6 is present under this configuration. For example at a sector: water star is = #8 and base star is = #6 (big metal) With this two combination of 6, 8, water can be used to form a auspicious flow. However, under the Flying star chart one must be extra careful of a reverse in this position where: water star is not #8 but instead, mountain star is #8. And in the above equation; Mountain star = #8 base star = #6 this 8, 6 combi…

Further to what I had mentioned, since it is close to the next period, do wait for next year's analysis to see if a further set of six coins is needed. Or else, do let me know e.g. via private e-mail, what is your Flying star sector. And I can advise you to leave it on or not necessarily to place it on for the next year. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Laura, I must admit that I find myself somewhat perplexed by this situation. I apologize for expressing this sentiment. This forum currently contains over 11,000 messages. If you take the time to attend two specialized conferences—such as Photo Tours of Interests (which includes photographs), Singapore Property, or Can or Cannot Buy—I am confident that your message will be well-received. It is my belief that messages shared in General conferences, such as Discuss:: Free Advice (General Feng Shui), should provide you with tangible examples. I earnestly hope that the standard of research is not one that requires individuals to be excessively guid…

Aloha, I have been reading your web site for over a year. Thank you for all you do to help us understand the fundamentals of feng shui. I hope my request is general enough to help many people. You stated there are many ways to change to period 8 without much hacking. Could you explain. We have a new home. West 2/3 . We could re orient to N/w1, or 2/3. I have been told and read of problems with the 7's in the flying star chart during period 8. We do not have the money for an open roof remodel as I have read is needed. Any help is appreciated. Dear Tiffani, Thank you for the sketch. 1. I have sketched the compass direction of your home in the attachment, below. I believe, based on the layout plan, the bathroom should be directly above the kitchen. This is not too bad, so long as the stove does not sit directly under the toilet bowl or toilet sewerage pipes. And try not to have a coffee table in the kitchen directly below it. 3. Check for any wealth leak from marking C to D as shown in the attachment. Warmest Regards, Cecil Thanks Tiffani On

Further to what I had mentioned, a more accurate description of this concept are "These people are Interior Decorators who only come in to advise after the home has been renovated. And, often wants us to depart with our hard earned money on some useless objects. With the hope that their clients will feel nice after being conned by them."

Part II - Further to what I had mentioned, if one open's one's eye, big and wide, one can find that there are even more varied cures in Feng Shui. For example: 1. Use of Lighting ================== In modern times, Feng Shui cures includes the use of lights e.g. some FS practitioners request their clients use 5 bulbs to represent the 5 elements or in some hotels, they ask them to use circular lights e.g. in areas light tea room etc... 2. Drowning bad stars ===================== External Feng Shui is very important. And for those who live in a landed property and provided, if it is feasible, could drown bad stars immediately outside their sector instead of using e.g. meta…
