Dear Kathryn, Please see below:- On 8/14/2003 5:35:59 AM, Kathryn wrote: Frankly, there is not much "productive" inputs that can be gotten from the concepts like wealth/fame; helpful people or this sort of "Feng Shui". Honestly, such `fixed' concepts are often too general to be of use to anyone. For a start, is it still possible to `undo' the things that you had done previously. This is because, currently without much information or nor applying proper Feng Shui eg. Flying star etc... I don't have a clue (or is gropping) in the dark. Here, you may have to use `trial and error' FS. In my opinion, do try to forget about the notation of " relationship corner ", " creativ…

Dear Carol, It is understandable to find computers in the bedroom. Personally, I also have 7 PCs connected in a network in my room. (No kidding!) Not including a TV set and two hi fi set... maybe this is how I create a more YANG environment so that I can stay glued to answering the constant `flood' of e-mails both in this forum and personal e-mails without the need for drinking coffee. *JOKE* The main points to note are:- 1. Try to make sure that the edge of the computer table does not point at the bed especially the head or body. This is considered adverse sha. (poison arrow) 2. Most new computer monitors have `matt' finish or `anti-glare' screens. This relates to the `…

Dear Carol, Please see my reply below:- Thanks for bring up this interesting subject. Let me elaborate about Yin. Yin refers to softer materials e.g. "sof"t wood, light colours. "Soft" wood are e.g. pine even teak but not laminated wood decor. For colours, the use of light colours. Flooring made of wood pieces will enhance the yin in a room. This is why you notice that most bedrooms use parquet (wooden flooring) to enhance yin ... state of rest. Yang refers to `hard' materials e.g. glass table, metallic objects/table and even plastic and laminates on wood. Colours are vibrant e.g. bright colors. Flooring made of cold slabs of e.g. marble, homogenous tiles and other c…

Dear Anon, 1. If you have the time, please go thru this resource:- http://www.geomancy.net/resources/art/art-cecilcompass.htm 2. If one is applying Compass School of Feng Shui, if one looks a it carefully, for example if you house or apartment or many others that belong to Period 7 (1984 to 2003), most of such houses / apartments has bad influence at the East and South. Given this very general idea/information, most of the time, even if we take the door direction `wrongly' - this is very subjective: all the time the base # number plus the yearly and monthly base # will remain the same. The only thing that change is the #mountain #water. 3. Overall, and very generally, mo…

In modern highrise living, the "main door" of an apartment unit is often just a means to get in and out of the house and nothing more.It is kept shut most of the time, and may even be located at the "back" next to the kitchen.Often, there is also no "back door".Would it be more logical then to assume the balcony, with its sliding window or door as the "main door"?

Dear Anon, If one has stand close to a waterfall, you can hear the sound of water flowing over into a pool of water. It is the sound and water movement that is considered to create vibrant Qi. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Jumin, 1. Please refer to the destructive cycle chart under the Five elements concept: http://www.geomancy.net/resources/theories/fs-5element.htm 2. Let's take a simple example:- 2.1 Case 1 : A Strong Metal person ================================== If one looks at the chart carefully; Metal destroys Wood. Here, imagine that one has a strong metal implement and a block of wood. In the hands of a scupture; this block of wood that costs a few dollars can be transformed into an object of art. Here, this piece of wood is worth much more. For example, cheap labour in China can convert this simple block of wood into a three-legged toad figurine. Where the block of wood cost…

Mr. Lee, I ama little concerned about a move my co-workers are about to do. I work with 2 other people in one office. Right now, I am facing my prosperity direction (NW) and great things have happened since I've been in this office. Now we are moving to another office and I've been designated to sit at a desk that faces south - my bad direction. What can I do? If I move the desk so it faces the door, I would be facing East - the worst direction (death), so I have to face south, but the door would be on my left. I've already asked if I can move to the desk that faces NW, but the guy doesn't want to give it up. Is there anything I can do to make this better? Thanks, Valer…

Dear Emily, I hope you don't mind me saying this: But after reading your message, I personally feel a little discomfort over so many coincidences. Would it be possible for you to provide me your date of birth so that I can check out, also the date May 28, 2004 (favours you or not). You can e-mail me privately at support@geomancy.net so that I can check it out and e-mail you privately to your email : emilyz65@earthlink.net Take care! Warmest Regards, Cecil Lee

Respected Master Cecil, Please forgive if this question is redundant for you. I am new in this study and very eager to make my house a positive energy house. I am concerned about a couple of things. 1.) My house is a period 7 house (built in 1986) and has a NW3 facing position. My Kua number is 4 and my husband is 6; thus we are east and west groups. According to the report that was calculated based on my information, it says that period 7 means prosperity. Since we are entering period 8, does this mean my house charts will change or my house still remains under period 7 (prosperous). Incidentally, we purchased the house in 2000 and did extensive renovations such as floor…

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: Hello, I am extremely interested in learning about Feng Shui and doing an online course but I am feeling unsure about it as I discover my husband and I need the exact opposites. He is Kan and I am Kun. We rent our house which we both love but is ideally suited to me which concerns me. I am worrying unneccessarily for him or will you be able to teach me remedies (without moving bedrooms or house for that fact) to create a desirable living situation for him. Thank you. Frankly, this is an extremely common situation. You should be applying the give and take approach in such situation. 1. Firstly, identify who is the breadwinner for the house. …

These are some considerations: 1. You did not mention how his MIL died. 2. Usually, if it is old age or common ailments such as a heart attack or even terminal cancer etc... In my opinion, there is no major concern with it. 3. In my country; 80 percent of the time; the body (was) cremated. And if it is via cremation; even best as cremation is neutral vs burial. 4. Anyway, frankly, all of us one may must perish. And as mentioned; if it is through natural death; then most of the time no issue.

Dear Sheila, Since traditional Feng Shui has two schools: Shapes and form as well as Compass (Eight House & Flying Star); it is best to apply both to the home in relation to other factors like Grand Duke of Jupiter (Tai Sui). If one is renovating or going to renovate the entire house, it is best to find an aupicious date to start renovations - this will do. And after the renovations, try to avoid any more work to sensitive sectors like NW, West and East. Therefore, this is the only consideration towards what not to do after a major renovation. If one is going to do minor renovations and it happens to fall within any of the above three sectors, then, see if one can …

1. In an office environment it may look very odd to place some of the traditional cures like a pair of flutes. The other common method is to draw a "fine" red line much like a small string just above where your head is (if it is under a beam). 2. The pillars according to your description, may not seem to be a problem. Usually if it is a concrete beam, the sha qi is approximately 1 metre. So long as you are not "cut" by the pillar, this is fine or no issue. Quote: Irene L. wrote: I sit in a cubicle and there is a a concrete beam over my head in the office. I am worried that it will affect my promotional opportunities in my career. There are 2 pillars, one is blocked by …

Dear Jun, 1. In my region, acquiring a pair of flutes featuring the phoenix and dragon design is quite simple. The phoenix, symbolizing the female, is typically hung on the left side, while the dragon, representing the male, is placed on the right side, as the dragon is associated with the East. The ease of hanging such flutes is due to the importance of ensuring that the design is not inverted, allowing for easy alignment of the mouthpiece with the pictorial representation. 2. It may not be feasible to come across a pair of flutes with similar designs in your country. In my view, if your flute showcases any illustrations, it is essential to ensure that they are…

Hello. We are considering buying a north tzu facing home with a facing palace conditional interaction of 2/7. (Built in 6th cycle) But since it’s facing north, it’s not in a waxing, strong, or malevolent phase. Does that mean there is no conditional interaction for this home? Please help. I’m basing my research on Eva Wong’s Master course in Feng Shui. Thank you.

Hi, I’ve been having a lot of bad luck (and I guess energy) since moving into this condo. Bad luck with my car, almost a bad accident, pet dog gets injured frequently, body aches, possible health issues, etc. just all very strange and coincidental since moving in here. This unit belongs to my partner and we cannot move out because of this, and structural changes aren’t possible. I noticed today that our balcony door faces right into a long street and coming from a family that believes in feng shui, I believe this is the cause of my sudden bad luck and energy since living here the last few months. Any tips on how to deflect the rushing bad energy into o…

Frankly, this is more a house hunting related service rather than free advise. There are so many condo developments in Singapore. Every condo will have some good or bad blocks. And even within the block there are good and bad units. Furthermore, depending on the direction of the apartment faces, the house luck will be different. So we it is not right for us to just tell you which is the most suitable …
