Hi Cecil, In determining the strenght of the DAY Pillar, do we need to consider the place where the person is borned? For Example, a person whose birthplace is in USA and born in September, this person would be considered *strong metal*. What if this person is borned in Singapore where there's no Autumn season, but only hot weather all year long, would this person be considered *weak* metal? thanks

Hi Cecil: Please correct me if I'm wrong, I was told that the Green Dragon is on our left and the white tiger is in our right without real directions. I mean the direction could be east or west for the dragon or tiger depending on the facing of main door of the house. Let's say my house is north-facing main door, that would mean my east(right) is where the tiger sits, and the west(left) is where the dragon sits. Please advise. Thanks

Hi Eve: I could be wrong on this one, but the way I understood this Grand Duke Theory is never make any renovations opposite the direction of the Grand Duke. In 1999, the Grand Duke is located in the east, therefore never make renovations opposite him which is the west. East renovations will be fine. We must be behind the grand duke and never face him.

Hi Cecil and Robert: How do I activate career sector (North) when this location is also my death corner where my main door is? Must I activate this corner or would it bring more bad luck? Based on my eight-house, I'm a southwest person with main element as strong metal. With my career sector lies in my death corner, is this why my job in all the companies I've worked for only lasts two years then unusual circumstances happen which make me quit my job? Sometimes, I think maybe my career(accounting) doesn't suit my element, and maybe need to go back to school to pursue a different degree. Thank you.

I've talked to a feng shui consultant over the phone to inquire about performing an audit of my home. This person said she only charges US$300 for a bungalow house, but that the materials I may have to buy might run up to about $300-400. She also said that I need to prepare meal for lunch (any kind) so we can all eat and celebrate after she finishes with the audit. I told her I'll call right back and give her my decision whether I want to go through with it. I NEVER called back. With the amount of money I'm shelling out for her fee and her materials, I don't believe I need to feed her. What a rip-off! Im glad I found this great site about fengshui. Thanks Cecil and Robert.

I forgot when the house was built. When we bought the house from the original owner in 1989, they said that they had replaced the roof three years before which I would assumed to be 1986. But, I just don't know if the previous owner actually replaced the roof as they claimed they did. In 1995, I had the kitchen done--replacing all kitchen cabinets, painting the kitchen walls, replaced countertops, took out old built-in gas range and bought new gas range and oven. Would this work in the kitchen qualify as major renovation which would allow me to pick period 7 as birth of house? I also replace the kitchen floor with new vinyl floor tiles. Thanks

I'm quite interested in learning feng shui and began reading some books. However, on some of my readings, some feng shui masters indicate that the "wealth" corner is always on the far left corner of your house from the main front door. If this is true, then what is the purpose of determining your suitable location in the "eight house theory?" I guessed I'm confused with all the readings I've been doing. Please advise. Also, what do I do if my front glass window has little crack because of a stupid kid throwing a pebble? Thank you

My bed is facing west. Is this fine? I'm a southwest person. Also, my bedroom door faces the kitchen sink. Is this bad? Any remedy to correct this? thank you
