  2. Dear Yen Zhen, yan zhen goh wrote: I am a Ram person of weak water element (2nd Nov 1979). Many horoscope books havestated that I am always incompatible or have many difficulties with Tiger & Dog people. Actually, I get along extremely well with them! (incl my best friends & most reliable subordinates as well)What could be the factors? I have 5 earth elements in my chart; could that be a factor too? I'm extremely interested to find out about this. Thanks in advance! Frankly, horoscope is a very simplistic way to determine compatibility as it assigns each horoscope sign with some compatible and incompatible horoscope. However, if you think more deeply, there are only 12 horoscope sign, so your horoscope is based on the horoscope that you are born in. So for example, if you are a Ram, then the horoscope sign you tend to clash most with is Ox for example. With so many people born, it does not mean that all the compatible signs will always get alone together. Each year will also have different element person born. This means that you may be a weak water Ram, another person may be a weak wood Ox. Although, Ox and Ram clash, but the element compatibility minimise the clash as water produces wood. So even though horoscope are not compatible, the element is compatible so it reduces the friction. Furthermore, when it comes to relationship, there is a much greater influence from a person's Human Luck. Whether or not two persons can get alone depends a lot of the human luck factor. Even if the horoscope are not compatible, but if ther human luck factor such as there is sufficient time spent to allow you to understand the other person, or if you each tolerate each other's flaw, or even if there is some special interest which makes both person click. All these factors, can still make your relationship good despite what is forecast in your compatibility. So really, lots of horoscope forecast should only be taken for fun. Besides the compatibility issue, the human luck factor is equally important. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Once you properly define the outline of the house (which forms the major outline or support for the house. Anything missing area within the Square/Rectangle shape, is defined as a missing corner. Anything, that extends out of the square/rectangle, is defined as a protrusion. A small missing corner is fine, but if the missing corner covers a large area, then it becomes a big issue. You can refer to this link for whether it is auspicious or inauspicious:- URL: http://www.geomancy.net/resources/theories/fs-building.htm Jian rong chen wrote: My flat have 1/4 missing corner at SE and 1/2 at E. So the 1/2 mising corner at the East would be more significant than the 1/4 missing corner at the South-East. There is very little you can do about a missing corner except:- 1. If this missing corner is on a landed property, you can extend a roof to cover it, or have some stone outland of garden landscapeto make it look like it is a square when you view it from the top. 2.Iffor apartment, some use mirror to falsely createan extension or use a concave bagua to attempt tosuck Qi back the missingarea. Neither is as effective as the 1st option but that is the best you can do to minimise the missing corner's impact. Hope that helps. At first I didn't catch those words when I was reading the compatibility reports which were generated in this website... How serious is this? What is the significance when two people's heavenly stems clash/ harm? Thanks! Under the ba zi, there are 4 degrees of incompatibility (Clash/Harm/Punishment/Self-Punishment). Of which two more problematic clash are the :- 1. Clash (being the worst), normally means a completely different nature of horoscope sign that is not compatible (quite similiar to if you think about water and fire). 2. Harm (is next), normally this means some minor differences between the two which does not necessary see eye to eye. In the compatibilty report, we do a detailed check against all your ba zi pillars to see what are the types of clashes/harms that will be found. Given, that more than 12 different heaven stem/earthly branch are being compared. Some clashes/harms present is perfectly fine. Especially, if the clashes are from non-important pillars such as the hour vs conception pillar. The more major clashes are Year to Year and Day to Day clashes. As that will denote, potential horoscope incompatibility or day element incompatibility. So unless there are major clashes, most of the rest occuring are quite normal or not really as significant. So we normally view it as a total:- 1. If there are 2 major clash/harm, it does show some minor incompatibility. 2. If there are no major clash/harm, but there are at least 4-6 minor clash/harm, then it also shows porential incompatibilty as too many small issues can also become a big problem. Otherwise, most of the rest will denote minor forms of disagreement between the couples, most of the time can be reduced through having the common element to help improve the relationship. If our report defines you as a Strong self, then you are a strong self. Frankly, a Follow The Leader chart is really nothing special at all. Not if you apply the properly five element concept properly from our website. You see each person is defined either as a weak or strong element. This depends on whether he has more favourable elements or he has more of his unfavourable elements. Once you have that properly defined, the next thing is to determine your five element percentage. The ideal is such that all 5 elements should have 20%. Elements you have less than 20%, some of it is good for you, while Elements you have more than 20%, means you already have enough of it. A follow the leader type, is more because your chart is more unbalanced, so you sometimes need to go with the flow of the elements you have more in order to bring your chart in balance. Which is no different from what our website does by checking what element percentage you have and what elements you need more or less. To better illustrate what i mean, that this five element breakdown for example:- 0 Extremely Weak Water

As you mentioned, since that is the only space you can place the headboard, there isn't much else you can do to position in another better favourable direction. So, in this case, there is nothing else you can do about this except to improve other areas of the room that you can correct. For example, make sure the room have a suitable colour scheme decoration that fits your ba zi, and or have other table facing in your good direction to compensate from this problem. Also, any other area you can correct in other areas of your home will also help. Remember, there are many many factors that influence your luck. 10. Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: Could you please tell me what is the 8 aspirations chart report, 8 house report and yearly flying star for? and I would like to know which report takes priority when I use it. The order of important is as follows:- 1) Flying Star is to assess the luck of your home using a mathematical formula. This tells you where is your illness/misfortune stars and even where is your wealth star. Any inauspicious star has to be neturalised while any wealth star should be activated. So you need to correct this irregardless of whether a room is suitable to a person or not. 2) Eight House is to tell you whether a house suits you or not, or whether there is a bedroom that you can use. So this tells you whether the house is suitable to you or not. Even if the house has good flying star, if the house or room does not suit you, you cannot maximise the luck from the house. 3) Eight Aspiration is a static concept that is based on the bagua. This means that everyone's romance sector is South-West for example. This is the least important of the 3 concept and should only be applied when when all the other concepts are applied. Anonymous wrote: Why are there yearly flying star chart and monthly star chart, if the yearly chart is good on the NE and the monthly star is not good in for NE then what should I do for the NE? Just like your ba zi, where a person's luck changes every 10-year/5-year/year/6-monthly/monthly/daily and hourly. The flying star also changes from year to year, month to month and even day to day if you want to check. However, the more important for flying star is to focus on the 10-yearly luck of the house and the yearly luck of the house. Beyond that it is very impractical to apply. I mean do one really have time to keep balancing the different house sector every day/month? This is not really practical. Furthermore, all it tells you really is which month is the worst month of the year. That is about all. So all you use that monthly chart is just to take note of which month you should be extra careful of problems that will happen for that year. The more important, is to fix up the 10-yearly and at most the yearly sectors. Once that is balanced, the monthly stars will have little overall impact. Hope that helps. Will this type of match will support or will degrade him as he is in troubles. naveen kumar wrote: plesae kindly suggest us whether to continue like this or not If an individual enjoys keeping fish, there is absolutely no issue with them raising any type of fish as long as it brings joy to that individual. It is important to remember that personal well-being (how one feels) is also significant. However, if you are inquiring about whether rearing fish is beneficial or detrimental in feng shui, it depends on several factors: 1. Is water considered a favorable element for that individual? For instance, a person with a weak fire element will not gain from keeping fish, as water can extinguish fire. Thus, it would not be appropriate for that individual. You must identify which element is supportive for you and evaluate accordingly using this tool: URL: http://www.geomancy.net/reports/free-report/freerpt-element.htm 2. The next consideration is whether the area in the home where the fish is situated is advantageous for having a water feature. If it is not, it may actually diminish your wealth. If the fish tank is placed in the water wealth sector of the home, then it is beneficial. Otherwise, it could lead to more difficulties. From a feng shui perspective, the two points mentioned above are crucial in determining whether keeping fish is advantageous for that individual. Furthermore, if their bazi lacks water and the fish tank is in a favorable sector, yet they still encounter issues, the problems may stem from other factors such as poor house luck feng shui or an entirely unsuitable residence (for example, living in a house that faces their death or disaster). Additionally, their current luck period could be unfavorable in their ba zi. I hope this information is helpful. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

  14. Dear Tatjana, Tatjana Hatten wrote: I am not quite sure how to even ask the question without getting everything confused. So here I go, on house number I understand that it has nothing to do with Feng Shui just with numerology. I have used the free online calculator for the numbers. Like for example: 107 means prosperity in 1983-2004 but goes really bad in 2004 and up in years. Now what if I buy a house that was built in period 7 and remodel it does that mean the housenumber goes bad or is it still good since originally the house was built in period 7. This is a good question. I get what you are trying to ask. You see the apartment number analysis is meant to help determine if based onthe exact same layout, but located on different level, what is the type of house luck qi the house has. So this was why the house built is necessary to determine to see how is the qi at different level. So logically, that means that if you remodel the house, the Qi will change. So the period it was built will also have to be adjusted to determine the how auspicious the house number is. But the more important factor is how the is the feng shui qi of the house which is based on the flying star of the house. So the luck from this area is far more important than the house number. So I won't worry too much about the analysis of the house number. The main purpose is to determine of which house number is auspicious or not. That is about all. Hope that helps. 15. Dear John, John Low wrote: Where is the best place to put my small fish tank? The best place to put water feature to activate your water wealth for your flying star would be where your auspicious water star is found. This means that if your house is a period 7, then the sector containing the water star 7 (is your current prosperity for a period 7 house), and star 8 is your future prosperity, while 9 is your future future prosperity. So if a water feature is placed in the sector containing the waters star 7/8, this would be your two best sector to activate your wealth based on your flying star. Generally, in a house the fish tank is usually best placed in like the living room or study room. Bedroom won't be the most ideal location except maybe a very small fish bowl type. However, bedroom is not suitable for any large fish tank. Also, since you lack metal and water, then water feature will also help to strengthen your ba zi element. Hope that helps. It is best to face the kitchen stove in the position that the person cooking most in the family will benefit from. So the geomancer started to tell me to put in some colours which is favourable to eath element, such as red, orange and yellow. Then I tried your free report in this website and also was found out that my gua no. is indeed 8. Based on my pillars of destiny, I was told that I belong to the strong fire element and suitable colours would be those belong to earth or water elements and not the fire element colours as proposed by the geomancer. I am now very confused. Who should I listen to as the wrong colours used will affect my destiny. Gua number 8 is earth that is correct based on the eight house theory. However, please note that gua number is derived from your YEAR of birth. Which means everyone born in the same year as you will be qua 8. The free report on the birth element is based on Ba Zi which derives the element from the day/month/year and even hour of birth. So this means that within a year, there will be different element depending on which day the person is born to. This is the most accurate way to determine your element. So the more accurate birth element is based on your ba zi rather than your eight house. Thus, the correct way of applying colour is better to be based on your ba zi rather than eight house. Eight house only helps you assess whether a house is suitable to you or not. Whereas, the ba zi is to assess the a person's given luck. So this gives the best form to know what element is lack and thus what colour to assess. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

So the system does not round up or down the decimal point. Maybe in future version, I will include the 2 decimal points. As for the 84%, that could could be someerror. I will have to get back to you after I checked it out. Erwin Wiradinata Halim wrote: when my wood increases will my fire automatically increase since wood help to produce my main element? or if my water increase my fire automatically reduce since Water destroys Fire? Yes, when your wood increase, it will help your main element. Just like when you have more of your unfavourable elements it will reduce your element. But these factors on how much it helps or destroy your element is not easy to calculate. The reason is simple. Take Wood element. Wood helps Fire grow. At the same time, Wood destroy Fire. At the same time Wood also exhaust Water. So at any one time, there are 3 different interactions. The chart will not not consider this because it will be impossible to accurately determine the exact help/destroy/exhaust factor. It will only show you how many roughly how many elements is present and what is the rough percentage representation. Erwin Wiradinata Halim wrote: You said always base on your intial elements, then just fine tune that period with the element you lack most. Since you have provided changes for period of 10 years till 126. that is not temporary. The changes in 10-year is temporary. This is because I tabulate that factor based on what elements are favourable in each year.So that percentage only shows you the changes for that whole 10-year. In each year, the percentage will change again. Even in each month, the percentage will always be changing. But it gets harder and harder to tabulate a percentage value. But it is temporary. It is for you to see what percentage may be influence by that period. Your main favourable and unfavourable elements does not really change because of it. What does change is that for that period, you may be stronger for example. Thus, say if that is your wealth year, instead of being average or mix-blessing because you are not strong enough to control. For that year, you will be better. Erwin Wiradinata Halim wrote: I'm asking coz i'm in a period where my element changes so much compare to the initial elements. I'm 26 should be 27 next year. my fire will be at 55% from 3% or 7% (initial). and the total favourable vs your total unfavourable changes 10% Wood + 55% Fire = 65% favourable element 15% Metal + 1% Water = 16% unfavourable element That is why your 10-year luck period can show you why certain luck period is better/worst for you. But again, this is temporary, because as you change a next 10-year, the percentage changes again. Also, you are forgetting, this calculation is only consider what the whole 10-year period's five element is likely to be. Factors such as your existing house element, the colours, the career element etc are not considered. So again, your percentage will change. That is why you cannot just take that 10-yearly five element balance as permanent. You should only use it to see what elements you need more or less. Remember, it is not possible to tell you exactly how many percentage is a colour of your shirt/car/bedroom decor will affect you. So where you are a say a weak fire, then generally more wood and fire will definately benefit you. Which is why the initial chart five element is the more important and permanent chart you based on. While the five element changes each year, is for a reference to know how best you can fine tune. Erwin Wiradinata Halim wrote: favourable element vs unfavourable element 65% vs 16% it is a huge change from ages 7-26 (12% vs 36%) or the initial (27% vs 32%). Yes, this is expected, The main reason is because every 10-year, the luck pillar's heavenly stem/earthly branch changes. Each 5-year/year, it also changes. So your percentage also changes depending whether the 10-year/5-yearly/year favours or not favours you. Which is why it is temporary only. For that period only. Erwin Wiradinata Halim wrote: I'm still thinking of a good colour for the bedroom and living room. If I'm in need of wood i was thinking of colouring it green for the bedroom. and red for the living room. or should it be the other way around? Usually, for bedroom you try to choose colours favourable to you and your spouse. For common rooms shared by other family members, you choose a more netural colours (ie white/light beige etc) or colours generally favouring most of your family members. Also, take note here, is that you also have to consider the flying star influence. Certain colours like bright yellow/bright red can activate the inauspicious misfortune stars etc. Even colours like green/brown (Wood) can also sometimes activate the inauspicious Lawsuit / Quarrels stars. In general, if you should always use light pastel colours, never use dark shades of the colours. Light pastel is often mixed with white which represents metal. Metal is often the element necessary to balance the inauspicious stars. Erwin Wiradinata Halim wrote: another problem is that my partner a strong metal, I can see she can benefit from my fire and she should be fine with the colour of red. but her 4 Good and 4 Bad Direction belong to the west group. how can people that belong to totally different group sleep together? if she sleep on east she is on the irritation direction. is there a way to counter? This is very common. Just like each person have different favourable elements, each person also have different directions. We always use a give and take approach. For example, for house facing, the breadwinner gets the best house facing, while the bedroom is given to the spouse. For sleep position, in a king/queen size bed, there is always a right and left side of the bed, right? So you determine which side of the bed falls closer to that person's favourable eight house sector. So each person will sleep on the side of the bed best for each other and shield each other from the negative aspects. Erwin Wiradinata Halim wrote: since i read feng shui now i try not to sleep facing northeast but there is no way i could change the position of the bed. I try to sleep on diagonal direction where i sleep facing east, but i don't really find it comfortable since it is diagonal. is there a way to counter this? There are many many concepts in feng shui. To get everything correct without a single flaw is impossible. In bedroom arrangement, the shapes and form placement of the bed is most important, followed by the most suitable position/bed directions. For example, the bed should be placed such that when you sleep you can see the door. This is the best position. So even if the bed position is not the best, this is the most recommended position. There is no way to change it unless, you build the house entirely from scratch and can plan all these factor before you actually construct the place. Anyway, there are still many factors affecting your luck, such as the luck from the house, the colour of the bedroom. So, even if this is not the best position, it does not mean that it is all doom for you. You still be able to compensate from other areas. What is most important, is that you correct as many flaws that you can fix. As you fix any flaws, you will already be improving your luck. So even if there are one or two areas you cannot control, it won't matter as generally most things are correct or right for you. Erwin Wiradinata Halim wrote: last question is which is better for me to live on? a house on northern part of the city which door direction facing south, bed direction was plan to face east. or my apartment in southern part of the city which door direction facing north, bed direction facing northeast. Of hand, I don't have your chart in front of me. Under the five element direction suitability:- 1. North part of City is water direction. South part of City is fire direciton. Based on your current post, I understand that wood/fire is better for you right, so that means South part of the city is better. 2. But even that, the house facing is also important. If North facing house is not as good or suitable than South facing house, then even if you stay in the part of the city that is favourable it is no use. However, when it comes to the house direction, the flying star of the house is also important. So priority, I would have to say focus first on the house direction make sure it is of the most suitable flying star and house facing. The actual location within the city is less important. This is because the qi of the house is based on your house facing, if the qi is lousy, then you will be adversely impacted by it. Hope that helps. 25. Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: We lived in a HDB flat andbought the access area. The wooden door faces East but the gate faces South. Which direction does my house face? Do I go according to the door or gate? Appreciate your advise. Can you confirm what level is your unit? This affects which the facing direction to take. For 2nd - 7th level, you should take the main door facing. For 8th level and up, you should take the living room and balcony facing. If your flat is above 8th level, then you just need to take the living room and balcony. If your flat is below 7th level, then you will have to worry about this question. In general, we mostly consider the main door into the house as the entrace to the house. But sometimes, it also may be the gate depending on the situation. Anyway, first determine if yours is above 8th level, if it is, then you do not have to worry about this question. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research
